Story
Smore was adopted to be a companion for another kitten who recently passed away from an autoimmune disease. She is sweet, talkative and playful. She's also incredibly smart! She loves opening doors and IKEA drawers. Issue is she is very timid and is being bullied by my partners male cat. She is an easy target because she won't fight back. We have tried pheromones. We have tried making new cat habitats for them to be away from each other. We have tried reintroduce th3m and separate feedings. She is living her life afraid. We only get to spend time with her when we lock her in a separate part of the house with us. If you want to give this beautiful little girl a quiet, peaceful (aside from children. She loves my children! Boys 8&9) please reach out. She is fully vaccinated, chipped and spayed. She sits still for nail trimmings and tolerates being carried around like a baby by two little boys who love her. You will not find a more docile little girl.

Story
This sweet girl is named Callie and she is about 6 years old. She is a purring machine and loves attention, especially during her brushes. She can be shy at first, but will warm up to you and become your best friend quickly as she did with my daughter. Her story: Callie belonged to my uncle who passed away unexpectedly from heart complications. He had her and a dog; I was able to temporarily take Callie in until she can find a new home, but I don't have a lot of time to find her a new home as my landlord does not allow cats and it is hard to hide a litter box. I also have a dog of my own, who she gets a long with and has never been mean toward. She is well trained to go in her litter box and does not jump on kitchen counters or tables or scratch furniture. We are still trying to learn her likes and dislikes - so far she is not a fan of featherly cat toys, but loves her catnip and loves to be petted most of all. She does like to be held and will lay right next to you and sleep.

Story
We’ve had blackey chan since he was a small kitten , he’s truly your perfect cat . Loves kids , gets along with dogs ( even plays with my small dachshund) , loves to snuggle humans and kisses specifically loves to lay on shoulders ! He’s 5 years old and full of energy. He isn’t getting along with my two other older cat and it’s starting to make me nervous ! He’d fit in with a younger cat around his age and full of energy or honestly would be super happy being an only cat . It breaks my heart to rehome him but I’m confident he’ll find a perfect loving home .

Story
Pickle is an awesome cat! He’s very loving and playful and very much a boy that is into everything! Pickle was diagnosed with early stage HCM with a grade 2/6 heart murmur. He is currently taking 1/4 tablet of Atenolol daily. The only reason I’m looking to rehome him, is because he is still really young and very rambunctious. He turned 1 year on February 26. He is too much for my 6 year old Sphynx, who also has HCM. Her’s is much more advanced and her last scan showed signs of a mild heartache. I have tried everything to keep him from being too rough with her, but he insists on showing his dominance and pins her down while biting her hard on the neck. I don’t think it’s fair to her and I know her heart shouldn’t have that much stress. I’m not rehoming him because of the HCM because I’m dedicated to treating and getting scans as required. I’m just very concerned that he is causing too much stress for my other cat. It’s breaking my heart to get rid of him, because I love him dearly!

Story
Bobbert Nubz, obviously named for his adorable bobtail and nubby paw, is looking for his new forever home! Bob here was originally adopted from Michigan Humane some years ago, but has recently returned to us after his owners unfortunately could no longer care for him. So he's looking for someone else to give him a chance! Mr. Nubz is a guy who can be nervous at first and will sometime prefer to hide while he's adjusting to new places. Once comfortable though, he's a talkative, outgoing guy who will ask for attention and constantly demand treats! Bobbert likes to climb and sunbathe and spend his days lounging around like the couch potato he is. But will also jump up to greet you and ask for some pets if he's feeling social. He is a super sweet guy who just needs an adopter that isn't looking for a super snuggly companion, just a friend who can be a good listener and decent company on movie night! He likely will do best with older kids, and might not enjoy other animals around as he's easily stressed, so be sure to do slow introductions to any resident pets!

Story
Meet Bullseye! This handsome boy was doing some shopping at Target when he was picked up and brought in. He knows where the goods are... and the good people! Bullseye's finder fell in love with him and had so many good things to say! And so do we! This boy is so social and affectionate and goofy, he's playful and loving and an all around sweetheart! But, he seems like he's got some street smarts about him and he knows what he likes and what he doesn't and he definitely isn't afraid to tell you that. Bullseye can be easily agitated with other handling and doesn't care for being picked up or carried around. He prefers to keep his feet on the ground. So he'll need to go home with older kids who can understand his behavior and an understanding adopter who will love him even when he's grumpy!Bullseye has been diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This disease is not curable, but he can still live a very long and healthy life! It is transmitted to other cats through deep bite wounds, so it is recommended that he not go to a home with cats who have tested negative for FIV. If the adopter does have other cats who are friendly then they could both live peacefully together, but there is always a chance of FIV being transmitted if a fight were to occur. Please see our adoption counselors for more information.
