Story

Georgia was originally my mom's cat whom I received when my mom moved into an assisted living home. Closest I can estimate Georgia's age is between 14 and 15 years old. I am in the Peace Corps and will be departing for Grenada in June hence why I am trying to find Georgia a new home. Georgia is a great cat and it breaks my heart to lose her but unfortunately I can't bring her with me. Georgia is a larger cat but as of her last checkup she is still not at risk for diabetes. She eats well and isn't usually too fussy about food or water. She is shy around new people (mainly only interacts with me) but after a bit she does warm up to new faces. She will sit on my lap while I watch tv and always comes to bed for pets. She does have her claws and her and I like to play rough a little (claw scratches on my hands are a normal thing) but she has never hissed or shown any real aggression towards anyone as far as I know. She is 100% indoors, not sure how she would handle being put outdoors.

Their story is a bit sad, their owner had to surrender them due to the a severe allergy. So they will need a little patience since they had to move again.  They are big, fluffy kitties with gorgeous, thick double coats. They love to be brushed! Kind/Jazz is more timid than Booboo/Sunny, but they both enjoy having their bellies rubbed.  Both kitties are healthy, friendly and love to cuddle once they settle in. Kind will usually come and sleep with you too. They need to be the only pets and deserve all the love!   You can view some of our adoptable cats and kittens during store hours at the Commerce Petsmart on the west side of Haggerty Road just north of 14 Mile Road. They have a bit of a sad story, their owner had to surrender them due to a severe allergy.  They deserve a forever home with a lot of love as they have been moved around. They will need a quieter home and patience. They are big, fluffy kitties with gorgeous, thick double coats. They love to be brushed! We roll around on the floor together and play together. I know that you will love us so much and we are so ready for a family and a home. She takes her time to get to know and trust you, but when she does she’ll melt your heart! With time and love she will cuddle and be in your lap before you know it. She loves snacks and play time with her humans and would prefer a quieter home. She’s good with other cats but gets scared around more aggressive ones.  Mama Jean is also on a special diet/food to keep urinary tract infections at bay, which probably happened from having kittens. But, otherwise she is perfectly healthy! You will fall in love with her when you meet her. Please give her a chance. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Angel and her brother Sanny were found in a box near a dumpster. Luckily we got them and they are safe and healthy.  T hey are shy at first, so please be patient with them as they have been through a lot. This two are so gentle.  Angel has soft silky fur and loves to have her belly rubbed. She’s a very loving cat and she loves to explore around the house but it has to be on your terms until she feels home and safe.  She purrs as soon as you approach her.  They both want to be around people. Sanny will want to sit on your lap most of the time.  It’s so sweet.
