Story
483 days. That’s how long Isadora (“Izzy”) has been waiting for someone to choose her.
Izzy is still waiting for the family who will appreciate her gentle nature, her quirky diva moments, and the trust she gives to those who earn it. We think the right person is going to adore this girl.
Izzy first appeared at one of our outreach homes, showing up regularly for meals. When we brought her in for TNR, we quickly discovered she wasn’t a feral cat at all—she was friendly, affectionate, and more than ready to trade outdoor life for a cozy home. Since then, she’s been enjoying indoor living and perfecting her role as a lovable feline diva.
And make no mistake—Izzy knows what she likes! Dinner should be served on time, her litter box should be kept clean, and if you stop petting her before she’s finished, she’ll politely let you know with a gentle paw tap. A queen has standards, after all.
Despite her diva tendencies, Izzy is a sweet, loyal companion who enjoys attention and affection from her people. She can be shy when meeting new people and will need a patient adopter willing to give her time to settle in and build trust. Once she feels safe, her personality shines through more and more. She loves relaxing on her favorite window perch, basking in the sunshine, and keeping an eye on the world outside.
Izzy gets along well with other cats and could happily share her home with feline friends. She tolerates the small dogs in her foster home but would much prefer a dog-free environment. If dogs are present, they should be calm, cat-savvy, and respectful of her personal space.
She has done well with children ages 7 and older who understand that cats aren’t always in the mood for chaos. A quieter home where she can settle in at her own pace would be ideal.
One bonus? Izzy is not a counter surfer. She prefers supervising the household from a comfortable perch rather than helping herself to whatever is on the kitchen counter.
Izzy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative. She is currently being fostered in Southgate and is ready to find her forever home. ❤️🐾
