Story
Hi… I’m Cupcake. Yes, the Cupcake! I’m a beautifully plump senior brown tabby with a personality that keeps life interesting. One minute I’m sweet as frosting, the next I’ve got a little spice… okay, maybe a lot. I’m hot, I’m cold, I’m up, I’m down… but that’s what makes me unforgettable. Mornings are my thing. I’ll come right up to you, meowing (very cutely, I might add) and asking for attention like the queen I am. I love my pets, my head scratches, and I’ll even rub up against your legs to remind you I’m there. But don’t get too confident… I’m also a diva, and sometimes I prefer admiration from a respectful distance. Love me on my terms, and we’ll get along just fine. I didn’t always feel this confident. When I first arrived, I was scared and unsure of people. But with time, patience, love… and yes, plenty of food… I’ve come out of my shell. I still need someone who understands that I’ll take a little time to adjust in a new home. I might hide at first, but give me space and I promise I’m worth the wait. A few fun facts about me: • I have no teeth… but don’t let that fool you… I crunch my food like a pro. • I love being brushed (when I’m in the mood, of course). • Cozy beds, sunshine naps, and catnip are my absolute favorites. • I get along well rubbing up against other cats… I just like doing things my way. So if you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind companion with a little sass, a lot of charm, and a heart that shines through once you earn it… I might just be your girl. Come meet me between 1–5pm. I’ll be the fabulous one waiting for you. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing. If you are interested in adopting Cupcake, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we need to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.

Story
Hi there… I’m Boss Man!
And yes, I know, I’m very, very adorable. You can tell just by looking at me. I didn’t always live the good life. I came to the sanctuary as part of the “Glencoe” cats, after spending my days outside fighting for food and shelter. When I first arrived, I was pretty scared… and honestly, I wasn’t impressed with the humans at all. I even earned my name by being the Boss of the ISO room, telling everyone to go away and mind their business! But guess what? Humans grew on me. Turns out they’re pretty great. They give pets (which feel amazing), lots of love, and, most importantly, tasty lickable treats. Those treats were the key to my heart, and they’ll be the key to helping me feel comfortable in my new home too. I’ll need a family who understands that I’ll hide at first and take some time to adjust. Please be patient with me, once I trust you, you’ll see what a sweet, loving guy I really am. I absolutely love other cats. Snuggling with them, playing with them, sharing cozy naps… a feline friend is a must for me. I’m playful, always zooming around with toys, and I especially go wild for catnip bananas and catnip toys. Pure joy. These days, I even enjoy greeting visitors, especially if they come bearing treats. From tough outdoor boss to luxury-loving sweetheart, I’ve come a long way. If you think you could be my patient, loving forever human, come meet me. You can visit me daily from 1–5pm… I’ll be the adorable guy waiting for treats and pets. I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I even had a dental recently, so all my teeth are clean. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing. Story
Hello… my name is Felicity. Some people say my coat looks like a little masterpiece. I’m kind of like a dilute tortie… but with extra splashes and swirls mixed in, like an artist couldn’t decide when to stop painting. I like to think it makes me one of a kind. My story didn’t start out so pretty though. I came from a large outdoor colony called the Glencoe cats. Life out there was hard. There wasn’t anyone making sure we had food, warm beds, or safe places to sleep. Every day was a struggle to survive. We fought for meals, braved the cold weather, and tried our best to stay safe. By the time I was live trapped and brought to the sanctuary, my body had many wounds and I was very tired. But then something wonderful happened. The Furball team and their amazing veterinarian took care of me. They cleaned my wounds, gave me the TLC I desperately needed, and for the first time in a long time… I felt safe. I’ll be honest though, I didn’t trust humans right away. It took a lot of food, patience, time, and love before I realized they were my friends. Because of that, my new family will need to understand something important about me:
I will be scared at first. I will hide while I figure things out. My transition into your home won’t happen overnight. But I promise you… I am worth the wait. Once I feel safe, I’m a very sweet girl. I love gentle head scratches, especially when I’m all cozy and sleepy. I adore basking in the sunshine, rolling in catnip, and getting the zoomies while playing and scratching on cat posts. I’m also a pretty clever girl. At the sanctuary we have treat dispensers, and I’ve learned exactly where they are. You’ll often find me hanging out nearby… patiently waiting and watching in hopes that someone will press the button and send treats my way. It’s one of my favorite pastimes! Oh… and I’m a huge fan of visitors, especially the kind who bring lickable treats. Those are my weakness. I also absolutely love other cats. Snuggling up with a feline friend on a warm heating pad is one of my favorite things in the world, so I would do best in a home with another kitty companion. And just so you know, I recently had a dental, so my teeth are now sparkling clean and ready for snack time. If you think you might be the patient, loving family who will give a shy girl like me the time she deserves, I would love to meet you. You can come visit me every day from 1–5 PM. Maybe you’ll be the one I’ve been waiting for. Story
Hey there… my name is Hunk. And yes, before you ask… I absolutely live up to the name. I’m a ridiculously handsome long-haired black cat with movie star looks, a sweet personality, and enough charm to make people stop in their tracks. But I wasn’t always this confident. Before coming to Furball Farm, I was feral and very afraid of people. Trust didn’t happen overnight. It took a whole lot of time, patience, love… and food (especially food) for me to realize humans aren’t so bad after all. Because of that, my future family needs to understand that I may need some time to settle in and feel safe in a new home. But I promise… I am worth the wait. At first, I can be a little shy and keep to myself. Then seemingly out of nowhere… something clicks and suddenly I’m following you around meowing and rubbing all over your legs asking for attention. I love saying hello and reminding people that I’m available for affection. Fair warning though… I may not be the best choice if you’re a fall risk because I take my leg-rubbing job very seriously. My favorite way to hang out? Sit on the floor with me. I love walking up to people and saying hi on my own terms. I’m not much of a lap cat and being held isn’t really my thing right now… but who knows what time may bring. Want to win me over instantly? Lickable treats. Those things are basically my love language. When I’m not collecting pets, you can usually find me basking in the sunshine on the playground, snuggling with my feline friends, or doing what I like to call snuggle walking with other cats. Because of that, I would do best in a home with other feline companions. They help me feel comfortable and confident. Oh… and one more thing… I have no teeth. But don’t feel bad for me. It certainly doesn’t stop me from enjoying treats. If you’re looking for a cat that blossoms with patience, loves deeply once he trusts you, and just so happens to be incredibly hunky… I might be your guy. Come meet me daily from 1–5 PM. I’ll be waiting… probably in the sun. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing. Story
Hi… I’m Baby Ruth. Sweet like candy… but I take a little time to unwrap. I’ve been at the sanctuary for quite a few years now. When I first got here, I was not a fan of humans. I thought you were weird… maybe even a little gross. I kept my distance and made it very clear that I preferred things that way. But with time, patience, love… and let’s be honest, plenty of snacks… something changed. I started to trust. And underneath all that fear? There I was… the sweet girl I was always meant to be. Now, I won’t pretend I’m instantly outgoing. I’m still shy when meeting new people, and in a new home I’ll need time to adjust. My future family will need to understand that I won’t blossom overnight… but if you give me that chance, I promise I am so worth the wait. Because once I’m comfortable with you… oh, that’s when the magic happens. I have the cutest little meow… I use it to let you know when I’d like some pets. And when you start petting me? Don’t plan on going anywhere… because I’ll follow you around asking for more and more love. Sometimes I’ll even reach out my paw like, “Excuse me… you forgot something… ME.” I don’t mind being held for short periods, but I’m more of a “love me on my terms” kind of girl. You’ll often find me stretched out with my arms all sprawled on a cozy bed or perched on a cat tree, soaking up the sunshine like it’s my job. I’m a beautiful tuxedo lady with gorgeous amber eyes, and I get along great with other cats… I’d really love a home with a feline friend to help me feel safe and confident. Oh! And I recently had a dental, so my smile is fresh, clean, and ready to win you over. If you’re someone who understands that the sweetest bonds take time… and you’re willing to let me come to you at my own pace… I think you’ll fall in love with me before you even realize it. Come visit me daily from 1–5pm. I’m sweet… you just don’t know it yet. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Story
Hi… my name is Sadie! I’m a little spiced brown tabby with the prettiest splashes of orange sprinkled throughout my coat and big, beautiful eyes that see everything. My fur is extra soft, just wait until you feel it. Before coming here, I lived underneath an abandoned mobile home. Life out there was scary, and I came to the sanctuary very feral and very afraid. It took quite a bit of time, patience, and love before the humans could even touch me. I’m still a little shy at first, and big movements can make me nervous, but please don’t let that fool you. Deep down, I am a total sweetheart. Once I trust you, I love being petted. I’ll rub up against your legs to remind you I’m there (fair warning, if you’re a fall risk, I may not be your girl!). I show my affection in quiet, gentle ways, and I truly enjoy being close to my people once I feel safe. When I go to my forever home, I’ll need someone who understands that I will hide at first. New places are scary. But with time, food, treats, and lots of love, I promise I’ll slowly come out of my shell. Patience means everything to a girl like me. I absolutely adore other cats and would do best in a home with a feline companion to cuddle with. Some of my favorite things include treat time, lounging on the catio, napping on heated beds, and snuggling up with my kitty friends. If you’re gentle, patient, and have room in your heart (and home) for a shy but loving soul, I just might be your perfect match. You can come visit me any day between 1–5pm. I’ll be waiting. I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in.
