I’m John. —the legend, the myth, the 12-pound marvel. Yes, THE John. No, not your ex. I’m the adorable one with a body like a tiny, furry Arnold Schwarzenegger. Classic V-shape. Built like a brick doghouse. You’re welcome. Let’s get a few things out of the way: I’m a Chihuahua, but NOT one of those “death from the ankles down” types. I’m not here to bite your guests or wage war on your vacuum. I’m 7 years old, which means I’ve outgrown the nonsense but still got that zest for life. Think: wise grandpa energy with occasional zoomies. I weigh a solid 12 pounds of love, snuggles, and confidence. You may say “chonky,” I say “compact power unit.” Here’s the deal—I love literally everyone. Kids? Adore them. Other dogs? Love ‘em. Cats? Probably fine—I don’t have beef with felines. People in general? Obsessed. If you’ve got hands, I’m tryin’ to be in ‘em. I sleep in the big bed (duh). I’m probably housetrained. Let’s not make it weird—just show me the spot, and I’ll handle my business. I walk like a champ on a leash, strutting my beefy bod like I’m in a doggy fitness ad. I’m the perfect mix of couch potato + spice. I’ll Netflix and chill hard, but I also have enough spunk to make sure you know I’m alive and thriving. Bottom line: I’m sweet. I’m polite. I’m friendly. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter.
