Story
Max Needs Compassionate, Seizure Experienced Owner Max is a year old, we believe CHIH Min Pin Mix, although Paperwork says Doxie Pom mix, weighing between 10 and 15 pounds who came to Tiny Paws as Owner Surrender. Immediately Foster witnessed severe seizures which Video is too painful to watch. Was he born this way, was he injured at Owner’s Home, we have no idea? We do know Max is a very loving pup and gets along fine with other Dogs but must not have over zealous companion. His gait is compromised although he gets around well. Concerned Winter weather will be challenging but Foster puppy pad trained him. Could be perfect Apartment dog but must be able to carry him if steps involved. Located in Thorpe, WI; Approved Application required and Fee negotiable due to Max’s needs to continue on Seizure Meds. Plz Contact Foster Mom Nikki Heck at (715) 316-1052 for more info. Story
Breed: Chihuahua Color: Tan Age: 8 month young Size: Small Weight: 8 lbs Sex: Male Meet Pepe! Pepe is an adorable 8-month-old Chihuahua seeking his forever home! Pepe is very shy and skittish, he will need lots of love and patience to help him feel safe and get his playful personality to blossom. Pepe gets along with dogs (with proper introductions), older kids, and cats, and loves playtime with his foster sibling. He is currently learning to walk on a leash and again he will need time and patience to truly feel comfortable enough to walk confidently, but we know he will do it with the right person and encouragement. Pepe is potty trained and finds comfort in his crate, though his favorite thing is to cuddle close to your face. He is a silly boy for sure! We do recommended you provide him with a dedicated space initially to help him settle in and feel secure as the adoption process can be overwhelming for these little guys. Pepe loves cuddles and yummy treats. He is a charming little guy, and he will make a wonderful addition to any loving home. To meet Pepe please complete an application through Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue. Adoption fee of $650 required. He is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Story
Meet Eddie! He is a typical Chihuahua who loves his person but is weary of others. He's a sweet and funny guy. He does well with foster mom and is coming around to the other household members.  Because of his nervous nature, something that is being worked on with him, dog savvy children over 10 are required. Also, Eddie will need a dog savvy adult who is confident, calm , and patient and who understands "small dog syndrome " so he can continue his rehab. We are confident that with the right family Eddie will grow to be a wonderful dog.  Animal is Fostered in: Lake County, IL For more information, or to apply for adoption, visit our website at: www.RescueOutreach.com Please note the following will be performed on all animals prior to adoption: Microchip Spay/Neuter (unless medically unable at time of adoption, in which case this will be discussed) Heartworm Testing (dogs);    FELV/FIV Testing (cats) Age appropriate CORE vaccines.  Dhpp, Rabies (if old enough)-dog;  CVR, Rabies (if old enough) - cat  - WE DO NOT ADMINISTER BORDETELLA unless indicated.   PLEASE NOTE- puppies and kittens may need to complete vaccination schedule depending on age at time of adoption.   Dewormed All breeds are best guess from veterinarian based on physical exam.  All animals come from high kill shelters with poor access to resources.  Once they arrive to our rescue they are quarantined for health purposes and spoiled in loving foster homes until their forever home is found!  Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.   ##2059372##

Breed Chihuahua/ Longhair Color Tan Age 2, Young Size Small Weight 12 lbs Sex Male Meet Petey! Petey is a sweet 2 year old chihuahua looking for his furever home. Petey can be timid at first, but once he’s had a chance to decompress he is a love bug. He gets along with dogs (with proper intro), older kids and cats. Loves to play with his foster siblings. He is currently learning to walk on a leash which he does nicely. Petey will need lots of love and patience as he is learning to trust people with taking off/ putting on harness. Petey is potty and crate trained. We recommend he stays in a designated place at least until he learns the rules and boundaries of his new home, this will allow him to have a comfortable, safe place to de-stress. Petey loves petsies and cuddling next to his human. He's also a very smart boy, and would benefit from some basic training. This little guy is very treat motivated, so that shouldn”t be a problem. Such a sweet pup! Petey deserves his happily ever after. Could you be the one to offer him his forever home? To apply to meet these babies please fill out an application through Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue!!!!🐾🐾❤️ Adoption fee of $500 required. They are neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Story
At one yr, under 5 lbs already neutered, sweet JD was a puppymill dog.We don't know his story or what he endured or why he was in there so long. We can only guess that he was going to or was used to be a stud dog. He's not a typical Chih, he's shy and friendly, with the typical bossy chih hidden for now.... but it's in there! He gets the zoomies so there's still so much puppy in him!Not trained in anyway, I would recommend a belly band so he can learn potty training. He also he would definitely be considered a flight risk and needs a fenced yard. Although he really is charming once he warms up, the untrust of people kicks in his flight mode. Despite his life being isolated, he appears to be happy and healthy. He was just neutered and needs a family that understands puppy mill dogs need more time to adjust than normal dogHe would love nothing more than to cuddle under some covers with his favorite human companion this fall! Please give JD a chance. His adoption fee of 500 includes the following:He is fully vaccinated with rabies and bordatella. he's microchipped has his health certificate . He's on flea and tick and heartworm prevention and already altered. Please visit our website www.thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
About Me: Name: Domino Breed (or best guess): Chihuahua mix Approximate Age: 8 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 12 lb Adoption Fee: Reduced Fee $300 Requirements: Patient Adopter Why In Rescue: Owner passed away Profile: Domino has been with Bichon and Little Buddies for over 2 years as we have worked with him to have him become comfortable with humans other than his owner.  When he was surrendered, we were told he is paranoid - and that does fit him.  He gets worried when he has a tag on his collar or when he is wearing a sweater.  He has stranger danger, so isn't going to want to be in a household where people are coming and going a lot or where he is expected to go visiting.  While he has some issues, he is a funny and loving guy to the people he has bonded with.  He will sit excitedly, waiting for one of his chosen ones to kneel down and open his kennel door so he can leap out and give a hug.  It is now time for him to venture out and find a family of his own.  While he lived with other dogs in his previous home, at the shelter there are a number of dogs he doesn't get along with - primarily males, so he may do best as an only dog or a female dog with a slow introduction.  Domino went for a short home visit with a volunteer to see how he would be in a home.  He had issues with other dogs in the house when the foster mom had food.  We are hoping for an only dog home for him to lessen the chance for issues if he decided to try to guard his person or his food.  He did warm up to visitors with some time, but will likely always need a slow introduction.   If you are looking to adopt a dog that really needs you, Domino may be that guy.  He is an athletic little guy who will climb up to the top of his kennel so he can look out and see what is going on.  If you can offer Domino a patient and loving home, please fill out the pre-adoption application and we can discuss more things about him. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $200 - $550 depending on the age of the dog, which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS October 8, 2024, 9:26 am

Faith is a sweet, shy, quiet, 4yo, 7lb chihuahua. She takes a while to trust; her last people dumped her at a shelter with her baby. But once she trusts you, you'll be surprised at how great she is. She'll need some training & guidance, but she'll fall into your routine quickly. She does like to chase & bite cats, so a home without them is better. She's a gem. No apartments please. DATCP#483538

Story
Hey there! We're Charlie and Patches, a lovable duo looking for our forever home. Charlie is a 20-pound male Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix (black), while Patches is a 30-pound male Maltese mix (white), We're both neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and estimated to be around 13-14 years old. We're a bonded pair, so we come as a package deal for an adoption fee of $350. We're still working on house training, but we're getting better every day. Both of us are crate trained and learning to walk on a leash. Patches enjoys walking with Charlie, and we both get super excited when we see other dogs on our walks. We love running around in the fenced backyard and cuddling up on the couch at night. We're currently staying with our fosters and we love sleeping on the couch. Charlie especially enjoys napping with family members. We usually snuggle up together on the couch when our fosters head to bed. We're a sweet pair looking for a loving home to call our own.
