Hello! My name is Shiloh. I was adopted and recently brought back due to my owner not able to care for me. Currently I'm on a specific diet for food. My tummy gets upset when switched to other kinds. The shelter staff are feeding me a raw diet. Please ask about me today! 262-723-1000

Story
About Me: Name: Cha Cha and Crepe Breed (or best guess): Chihuahua and Chihuahua mix Approximate Age: 1 year Gender: female and male Approximate Weight: 6 lb and 8 lb Adoption Fee: $800 for the pair Requirements: Loving adopter Why In Rescue: Texas Transfer Profile:  Cha Cha and Crepe came to us from Texas after they ended up into a rescue there. They are quite bonded, and Crepe likes to make sure Cha Cha is safe.  They are sweet dogs even though Crepe does have a bit of a bark when people walk past their kennel run.  When they were in a foster home, they loved to snuggle with the humans.  They would be happiest in a home with no other dogs, or only small dogs.  They weren't too happy about the large dogs in their foster home.  They have had a lot of changes in their lives recently, so they need to have a chance to figure out their new life.  Are you the one that can give this pair some stability in life?  Please fill out the preadoption application at www.bichonrescues.com if interested in them. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $200 - $550 depending on the age of the dog, which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS February 27, 2024, 11:41 am

About Me: Name: Fiona Breed (or best guess): Mixed - possibly Chihuahua-Yorkie Approximate Age: estimated 5 yr Gender: female Approximate Weight: 6 1/2 lb Adoption Fee: $450 Requirements: Loving adopter Why In Rescue: Stray/lost dog Profile:  Fiona was a stray/lost dog in Milwaukee County.  She is a sweet and quiet girl, that would love a more quiet home without a lot of commotion.  She loves to curl up in her bed at the shelter and take a nice nap.  Because she was a stray, we don't know her history, so don't know if she lived with other pets or with children, or if she was housetrained.  She was spayed and had her teeth cleaned, and is on some antibiotics for some mild skin infection she has, likely from having fleas before she came to us.  Are you the one to show Fiona that there are loving people out there that will take care of her and love her forever?  Please fill out the preadoption application at www.bichonrescues.com if interested in her. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. Story
About Me: Name: Domino Breed (or best guess): Chihuahua mix Approximate Age: 6 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 12 lb Adoption Fee: Reduced Fee $300 Requirements: Patient Adopter Why In Rescue: Owner passed away Profile: Domino has been with Bichon and Little Buddies for over 9 months as we worked with him to have him become comfortable with humans other than his owner.  When he was surrendered, we were told he is paranoid - and that does fit him.  He gets worried when he has a tag on his collar or when he is wearing a sweater.  He has stranger danger, so isn't going to want to be in a household where people are coming and going a lot or where he is expected to go visiting.  While he has some issues, he is a funny and loving guy to the people he has bonded with.  He will sit excitedly, waiting for one of his chosen ones to kneel down and open his kennel door so he can leap out and give a hug.  It is now time for him to venture out and find a family of his own.  While he lived with other dogs in his previous home, at the shelter there are a number of dogs he doesn't get along with - primarily males, so he may do best as an only dog or a female dog with a slow introduction.  Domino went for a short home visit with a volunteer to see how he would be in a home.  He had issues with other dogs in the house when the foster mom had food.  We are hoping for an only dog home for him to lessen the chance for issues if he decided to try to guard his person or his food.  He did warm up to visitors with some time, but will likely always need a slow introduction.   If you are looking to adopt a dog that really needs you, Domino may be that guy.  He is an athletic little guy who will climb up to the top of his kennel so he can look out and see what is going on.  If you can offer Domino a patient and loving home, please fill out the pre-adoption application and we can discuss more things about him. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.
