Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMeet Finn Finn is an 8-year-old, 50-lb mellow guy who loves napping, short walks, and hanging out near his people. He enjoys toys (especially if treats are involved!), can be cuddly, and also appreciates his personal space. Finn is anxious around loud noises and reactive when he sees other dogs, so he’s looking for a quiet home where he can be the only pet. He hasn’t lived with cats but has ignored chickens. He greets people calmly outside the home and politely “announces” visitors with a bark. He does best with a predictable routine and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often—Respectful children are fine. Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and eats a prescription urinary diet. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion, Finn is ready to meet you.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Hi, my name is Lego and I'm from Minnesota. from his foster: Lego is a young puppy that is enjoying the good life in foster and can’t wait to join your crew. Amazingly, he heads right to the puppy pads to piddle and ALMOST makes it there with number two! He loves to snuggle with humans and happily joins her siblings in a cuddle puddle most of the day. He has been found on numerous occasions splayed out on his back napping and could snooze forever. Boy vibes with this one. He is starting to discover his voice and makes darling little pig noises and baby growls with his siblings. Social attachments are starting and he definitely knows that humans are good… and equal food.

Hi, my name is Beanie and I'm from Minnesota. From her foster: This little girl is smart. She comes to her name, has conquered pee pads with very few accidents(her aim can be a little off sometimes). Has figured out how to hide from her bigger sister when she doesn’t want to play. Very sweet, she loves to give kisses and is always excited to see you. She’s calm and happy to meet new people and pups. She wants to be close even sleeping on your feet. Watching her grow and learn will be such fun for her forever family.

Hi, my name is Slinky and I'm from Minnesota. From her foster: This little girl is a fluff ball of fun! Curious and playful. She loves checking things out and playing with her sister and humans but is perfectly happy with bouncing around and playing by herself. She knows not to bother our elderly dog but still gives her a play bow once and awhile to see if she’s changed her mind. Loves belly rubs and kisses but is happy to keep you close but not in your lap as yet.

She stays right by your side at any pace and enjoys exploring the world calmly and confidently. She tolerates other dogs and does well with children, but her happiest life will be with a calm fur sibling in a quiet adult home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Ziggy! 6 years old • 32 lbs • Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie mix (with some German Shepherd, Beagle, and Lab in there too!) Ziggy is a smart, soulful, couch-loving companion who thrives with her people and forms deep bonds with the humans she trusts. Like many herding breeds, she takes her job of “keeping an eye on things” seriously — but once she decides you’re a friend, you’re in for a lifetime of loyalty, snuggles, and companionship. When new people arrive, Ziggy will announce herself with a bark or two, then quickly switch into friendly mode. After a proper sniff and hello, she’s eager to engage — often gently guiding your hand to her chest, where she loves extra scratches. Before you know it, she’s your new best friend on the couch. Why we love Ziggy: Incredibly smart and very trainable - she k nows tricks and has great recall indoors A wonderful companion who simply wants someone around, and loves cuddling on the couch or in bed! Loves car rides — short trips or long adventures. Ziggy e njoys hiking and exploring (she’s a fan of the North Shore!) Famous for her dramatic “old man” sighs Loves chew bones and has a beloved stuffed frog, but has  never destroyed anything in the house she shouldn't! Geo-trained with a hidden fence Comfortable being left alone for up to 6 hours Ziggy was adopted during COVID and has always had adults around during the day. While she initially seemed bonded to one person, she’s truly just happiest knowing someone is nearby. She does well with trusted adults, older kids, and even a house/dog sitter when her family is away. Ziggy is a herding-breed dog through and through and can be reactive to other dogs, especially on walks. Her bark can sound intense, but with consistent, positive training, she can sometimes ignore passing dogs when walked solo. Group walks with other dogs, however, increase her stress and reactivity. Ziggy  has also developed some resource guarding around food, toys, and favorite resting spots. With structure, space, and experienced handling, these behaviors are manageable, but Ziggy will do best as the only dog in the home. Because of her herding instincts, Ziggy is not a fit for homes with young children, as she may chase or nip at ankles. A home with adults only or older, dog-savvy kids, along with a fenced yard, are a requirement. Ziggy has not had any long-term experience with cats.  Ziggy is deeply loving, loyal, and ready to be someone’s whole world. In the right home — one that understands her intelligence, sensitivity, and need for structure — she will be an incredible, devoted companion who curls up beside you, sighs contentedly, and reminds you every day how special a bond with a dog can be.  If you're ready to open your heart and home to this loving companion, submit an interest form here:  https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com *Adoption fees range from $525-$650, depending on the individual animal* Follow us on Facebook & Instagram! https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue/ @RedemptionRoadRescueMN Ziggy is fully vetted: spayed, DHLPP vaccinated, rabies vaccinated, bordetella vaccinated, lyme vaccinated,  4DX/heartworm tested,  microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed.  *Ziggy does have allergies: she takes a Benadryl daily with morning meal and gets a shot of Cytopoint in fall and spring.* Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 17, 2026, 1:11 pm
