Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Hello, its with a very heavy heart that we list our baby Oreo due to our relocation and me being 7 months pregnant, we have decided to make the hard decision to relocate our pup. Oreo is super loving and energetic. Im sure whoever gets her will fall in love just as we have. She is used to long periods of time being alone since we all work long hours. She loves just sitting in the house where ever the sun is hitting most and sunbathing. We will miss her soo much and only ask for her new family to love her as much as we do!

Philly and his housemate, Tilly, were surrendered by their owner at no fault of their own to an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. We believe Philly will be a smaller sized dog, around 25 LBS, when fully grown. Philly is ready to find a safe and loving forever home. Could that be with you? Philly is your typical sweet and playful young pup. He does great with other dogs too. At his young age, Philly is in his prime for training and socialization. Please remember that young pups require lots of time, love, and patience to become the best doggie citizens they can be. Submit an application today and change this very deserving boy's life forever! Story
Hi, it’s nice to meet you, I’m LeBron, a 3 year old, 17 lb., dachshund/chi mix. I don’t remember much about my former life, but I’m glad to be with A Home of Their Own Animal Rescue to find my forever home. I’m a little shy around new people given all the changes I’ve been through. I’ve been in a couple of foster homes before, and I discovered that I feel more comfortable around adults and older children. Younger children scare me with their quick, sometimes unpredictable movements. I am looking for a forever home that is quiet, patient and loving. I am housetrained so that's a plus! I like crates because they feel so cozy and safe. That said, I may need some coaxing in the beginning to get out of my crate and into the world.  Like LeBron James, I jump up high in the sky and am very high energy so will do best in a home with people that are active and can give me plenty of exercise and enrichment! That's why my foster dad named me LeBron! Also, a home with people that are home often would be nice too because I tend to get attached to my people. They make me feel safe! I'm still working on being protective of my people. I try to remember that no one is going to take them from me but it's definitely a work in progress. I know I will grow used to being around new faces; I just need people that will be patient with me so I can learn to feel safe and secure in this world. I’m a sensitive guy with a big heart once I trust someone. Are you that forever trustworthy person I’m looking for?! ##2039331##
