📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. Meet Lylla :) • She rides so well that if you open the car door she gets in by herself, and she doesn't get car sick at all. If you like traveling she would make a really good buddy! • She loves playing with other dogs, running in the park, cuddles, kisses, sleeping with you, walks, hikes, and delicious food (fruit, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, cheese, meat) and treats! • Personality: She is affectionate, full of energy, loves to have fun, and adapts well to new things. She likes both people and dogs and cats (she'll play with them). She also loves to play in the park or the mountains. When she's excited, she'll purr to show her excitement. She loves to be held - she wants to fall asleep with you in your arms. She's the best dog ever! 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Zoey is a tiny black-and-white Dachshund with a delicate little face and eyes that tell a lifetime of stories. Zoey has been thriving in her foster home and is looking for a forever home to rest her head. She's comfortable in her crate at night, has mastered the dogy door at her foster home and does her business outside. She walks well on leash and gets along well with her foster dog brother. She loves to lounge on the couch with her people and take comfy naps in her dog bed. If you have room in your heart for a gentle soul who simply wants to be with you, Zoey is waiting.

Story
We adopted Festus in 2022. He's been a good company for us, but I travel every couple of months, and it has costed me quite a bit paying for a pet boarder and a walker when I go into the office. He's very good around children and very loyal. Festus will be a good companion for a dog lover who doesn't have to travel as much.

Story
Name: Monkey Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 9 years old Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua/Dachshund Mix Weight: About 15 lbs Lives With: Dogs, cats and all people (including kids)! Housebroken? She’s potty trained! Special Medical Considerations:  Monkey has degenerative heart disease and is considered a hospice case, with an estimated 1–2 years ahead of her. She takes daily medication and will need two specialist visits per year. Monkey was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina, and we are so grateful she’s now safe and cozy in a loving foster home in the DC area. Monkey is a happy, gentle sweetheart who adores people and gets along beautifully with other dogs, puppies, and even cats. She’s mastered the art of getting comfy on the couch with her humans and would love to join you for leisurely walks and neighborhood strolls. Her favorite things? Belly rubs, mealtime, and burrowing under the covers at night to be your own personal, snuggly heater. Don’t let her sweet gray face fool you — she still gets playful bursts of energy, complete with zoomies and games of catch with her favorite mouse toy! Monkey is potty trained, does wonderfully in an apartment setting, and is perfectly content relaxing at home while you’re out running errands. She’s truly the best mix of playful and peaceful companionship. Monkey does have degenerative heart disease and is considered a hospice case, with an estimated 1–2 years ahead of her. She takes daily medication and will need two specialist visits per year. We know this means her time may be shorter than we wish — but we also know it can be incredibly meaningful. Monkey is looking for a compassionate adopter who is ready to open their heart to a hospice dog and give her the love, comfort, and stability she deserves for the rest of her life. In return, she will offer endless devotion, warmth, and tail wags every single day. Like all dogs, Monkey will thrive with continued positive reinforcement, mental enrichment, gentle exercise, and lots of patience and love. There is no adoption fee for Monkey thanks to a generous volunteer donation, which covers her vaccines, spay, collar, transport to DC, and foster care. She is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines. Monkey doesn’t need perfection — she just needs her person. Could you be the one to give this very special girl the soft landing she deserves?       March 1, 2026, 10:08 am

Story
Meet gorgeous Greta! Greta is a not only beautiful, but she is nearly house and crate trained. She is a very smart girl, as she is learning leash skills and basic commands. Foster mom said Greta is good with other dogs, unbothered by barn cats, but not a fan of horses and loud trucks! She loves playing with her toys and balls and is very into sniffing the great outdoors! Greta does great on car rides, wants to be around her people and would be a great family dog! The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. Petconnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. For more information, please email Eileen at ekerwin@petconnectrescue.org **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
