📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. Meet Lylla :) • She rides so well that if you open the car door she gets in by herself, and she doesn't get car sick at all. If you like traveling she would make a really good buddy! • She loves playing with other dogs, running in the park, cuddles, kisses, sleeping with you, walks, hikes, and delicious food (fruit, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, cheese, meat) and treats! • Personality: She is affectionate, full of energy, loves to have fun, and adapts well to new things. She likes both people and dogs and cats (she'll play with them). She also loves to play in the park or the mountains. When she's excited, she'll purr to show her excitement. She loves to be held - she wants to fall asleep with you in your arms. She's the best dog ever! 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
Mr Personality here! 😎 I am an adorable happy guy with good looks and dazzling eyes! I am front and center and greet everyone happily! I was dropped on a country road and promptly walked a half mile of a gravel driveway to scratch on their door and told them to let me in! I am a fun, loving guy with so much zest for a good time! I am not the protective dachshund, I am the Playboy Bassett! I love the other dogs and the foster home and really enjoy playing with any that will return the fun… from Greta Gremlin a 20# boston terrier also needing a home, to the 90# pit mix that cant keep up with me zooming under his body 😂. I love car rides, cats kind of intimidate me so I respect them, kids are great, men and women are all good, anybody who wants to play with me and tell me how gosh darn cute I am! If I’m getting scolded for doing something I shouldn’t have been, I flop on my back and move my paws up and down as if praying for mercy. It tends to work.😂 I don’t like being crated and I am good when I am left out. I will burst out the door and run down the street so that you have to chase me, so I am now required to have a fenced yard. It’s amazing how fast these short little legs can go! Foster mom has gotten me house trained, teaching me to back up at the doorway, and takes me on a daily 1 mile pack walk with six other dogs. I love to check out small dark places like empty cabinets and washing machine machines. Turns out I am heartworm positive… I have started my antibiotics and at the end of May I will require the first of three injections to kill the Heartworms. Adopter will need to follow the vet’s treatment schedule to make sure I get rid of them so they do not end up killing me. I need to be kept calm during June and July when the biggest treatments will be given as that is protocol. I could be easily amused with a ton of enrichment toys! I am very treat motivated! Story
Meet Elsie! In true Dachshund fashion, she came with selective hearing and selective seeing factory installed—but somehow her snack detection system still works flawlessly. Elsie was found as a stray in Berkeley County, West Virginia, in heartbreaking condition. Her nails had grown inches long and curled back into her tiny paws, and her beautiful red coat was painfully matted with burrs and twigs. She also arrived with one of the worst mouths we've ever seen, filled with rotting and decaying teeth after years of neglect. Today, she's safe, comfortable, and finally getting to discover just how wonderful retirement life can be. Elsie is the most adorable little old lady. She shuffles around at her own wonderfully unhurried pace, gives the classic Dachshund side eye whenever she feels it's warranted, and has everyone wrapped around her tiny paddle paws. She's sweet, stubborn, hilariously food-motivated, and fully committed to conducting kitchen inspections every few minutes, just in case this is finally the moment food starts falling from the sky. Elsie and her fellow redheaded Dachshund foster sibling have formed a highly dedicated snack investigation team, carefully checking bowls, supervising meal preparation, and making absolutely certain no crumb goes unnoticed. It's exhausting work, but someone has to do it. Elsie loves gentle walks (emphasis on gentle—she's in no rush), rides nicely in the car, sleeps through the night, and is happiest curled up next to her people or sneaking into bed with the family's 100-pound Labrador. Neck scratches, ear rubs, and scratches above her tail are among her favorite things, right up there with soft food and treats. Because Elsie has some vision and hearing loss, she'll do best in a home with a consistent routine where she can confidently learn her surroundings. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but what she'll really appreciate is someone who understands that the best days are made up of cozy beds, good snacks, leisurely strolls, and plenty of snuggles. She gets along beautifully with people and other dogs, is housebroken with pee pads available, and is perfectly content to nap away much of the day. If you're looking for a best friend to quietly shuffle into your life and steal your heart, Elsie is ready to report for duty. Apply today to meet her! Elsie is approximately 15 years old and 12 lbs. Fostered in Baltimore, MD Please apply at MirisHaven.org
