Gracie is a one-of-a-kind low-riding, wide eared phenomenon who will stare directly into your eyes as if she has an important communication for you, The right adopter will be able to hear her. Her breed blend is a bit of a mystery. Basset? Dachshund? Who knows? Who cares? Not Gracie. Her legs measure approximately 11 baby carrots in length but she toddles through the room with the confidence of a an Amazon. Her ears are wide enough to pick up satellite signals, ensuring free cable for her new family! Gracie is a genuinely lovely little companion. She adores her people, enjoys a slow, thoughtful stroll {emphasis on slow}, and would happily spend the rest of her days being near you while you do absolutely anything… or nothing at all. She is the perfect home companion. Housetrained, good on the leash, happy to go for car rides, generally sleeps through the night. She is happy to spend all her time with her human and wants to be the one and only pet. Her vision and hearing seem pretty solid. Due to her back pain, she has trouble with stairs and would prefer to be carried up and down, like the queen that she is. Gracie would love for her new home to have a fenced yard where she can amble around, sniff things, and soak up the rays. She'd also love to go for lots of walks, have plenty of snuggle time, and enjoy a calm, quiet routine with her beloved human. She is hoping her human will be home most of the time or take her with wherever they go. She loves to be petted and snoodled and talked to. She will follow you everywhere! Not only will she lie AT your feet, she will lie ON your feet! Gracie has cushing's disease, so she will need to stay on medication to help her manage it for life. She also has some arthritis, including the above-mentioned back pain, which is benefitting from joint supplements like Cosequin and medications like gabapentin. She will also benefit from routing anal expressions (sorry, Gracie!). Gracie is a happy, happy dog, with the waggiest tail you could imagine! Meet Bob! Bob is a handsome dude with the perfect balance of adventure and snuggles. He is always up for exploring the yard, sniffing out his next great digging spot, or curling up beside his favorite people for some quality cuddle time. Bob is an affectionate, curious boy who loves people, treats, and anything involving attention. He'll happily join you for a leisurely walk before settling in for a cozy nap. His foster says he has *very* selective hearing, especially when he's discovered a new place to dig. If you call his name, he'll pretend not to hear you... but the wagging tail gives him away every time. Bob gets along well with other dogs, though he'd prefer to soak up all the attention as your one and only pup. Cats, however, are a definite no-thank-you. He would do best in a calm home without young children, ideally with someone who's home much of the time and enjoys a quieter pace of life. Bob doesn't mind going for leash walks, although he also likes to wander in the yard. He isn't the biggest fan of car rides yet. Bob's vision is extremely limited, but he still gets around well, enjoys going up and down stairs, and doesn't let age or vision issues slow him down. He does need eye drops, but he's a good sport about them. Most importantly, he has a huge heart and so much love to give. Bob's ideal home would have a fenced yard (where he's allowed to do some digging) and a family that loves to snuggle with him. He would prefer a calm and quiet environment with a routine. Left home alone in a crate, he does well. Left loose he may get into a tiny bit of mischief. Cookie is between 5 and 6 years old. She is very nervous/afraid when first meeting new people. I've had her for about 4-1/2 years, she came from the local animal shelter. All shots are up to date. She recently had her nails clipped and glands expressed. She is a good dog, but does not like to be alone. She is kept in a crate while alone. If left out of the crate while alone, she has a tendency to get into things, chew things, etc. She may also pee on the floor if left alone out of the crate. She sleeps in my bed at night. Cookie needs to live in a single family home. A friend wanted her, but she barked too much and neighbors complained, so apartment life is not recommended. Crate, toys and food are included.

Belle is a professional belly-rub recipient, an enthusiastic fetch player, and a stuffie collector extraordinaire - she almost always has a favorite toy nearby. When she`s not busy carrying around her latest treasure, she`s happy to curl up for a nap, snuggle in your lap, or sleep on the bed next to her person. She also ignores cats, is housebroken, and is absolutely obsessed with treats, so you`ll never have to wonder what her love language is!Belle is still working on a few things as she settles into her best-dog era. She is not a fan of the crate and will let you know her feelings loudly, so a home where crating isn`t necessary would be ideal. Belle can get a little growly when another pup gets attention or treats, so she eats separately and will do best with continued positive, consistent guidance around sharing her people. And then there are her... culinary curiosities: paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, and even Q-tips are apparently delicacies in Belle`s world, so her humans will need to keep those tempting snacks safely out of reach.
