PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures and some videos of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. 9-year-old female Chiweenie, about 15 pounds. Cherokee is a sweet yet shy girl. She gets very attached to her person and likes to follow around, sleep and cuddle with them. She has a very Doxie personality; smart, opinionated, LOVES to eat and sometimes be vocal. She is long and low, with the typical Doxie body, so all the normal Doxie long back protection steps should be taken. Not too fat, ramps, steps and such to prevent her from jumping down from high places. She grows crazy long toenails too, so be prepared to clip and snip regularly! She lets you know when she has to go outside. If you like a dog that likes to get dressed up, she's your gal! Bring on the dresses and sweaters! She does not necessarily need a fenced yard, but would love to go for walks and probably no kids under 10. She does need a bit more work on not pulling on the leash. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1.5 year old Chiweenie, about 8 pounds. 6 dogs were abandoned in a cemetery and only 4 were found alive. Tombey, Lillith, Gravis and Wednesday luckily found their way to us in December. Wednesday's foster parents have worked diligently to get her ready for adoption as she was the most fearful of the group. Wednesday is a very sweet but timid girl. When she feels comfortable with her human, her personality really shines. She is a high energy girl who loves to play, whether it is with her human friends or her dog friends. She is a fashionista with a love of clothes and shoes and when you’re not watching she likes to collect them from throughout the house and bring them to you. She loves to be with her person and is an amazing snuggler. Wednesday is still getting comfortable with walking in crowded areas but does well on a leash otherwise. She will require a patient and consistent human to help her become all that she can be! She would do best in a house with a fenced yard. She does great with older kids and really needs a playful and confident pooch in the home. Such a sweet girl. Story
6-year-old female Chiweenie, about 9 pounds. Sabine is a sweet, snuggly female Chiweenie. She has a gorgeous chestnut red coat - even her tiny little eyelashes are red! Sabine was rescued from a dog-hoarding situation, and she does very well with other dogs and cats but can be timid toward humans and new spaces and is very wary of men. She bonds quickly with her female foster human(s) and is a very loyal little lap dog. She enjoys toys and can happily entertain herself or play fetch with you. She will definitely make you laugh with her playful antics! Sabine would prefer a fenced yard, as she enjoys sniffing around and sunning when weather allows. She's good on walks and shows no leash aggression toward other dogs. At home, she loves attention and spending time with her people. She is a fantastic cuddler and will gladly join you for lap snuggles and snoozes, but will also give space when needed and happily rest in a dog bed nearby when you are busy. Sabine shows no separation anxiety and does fine left at home alone and does well with housetraining. Sabine would be the perfect fit for a calm home with a single woman or female-only household, especially if you work remotely or are retired. Sabine recently had a dental and small MCT removed. She is now ready to find her furever home! To learn more or request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com.

Hi! My name is Duke and I am available for adoption!I weigh 13.8 lbs and am considered a `small breed` dog.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!Surprisingly I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other dogs. I came in with a buddy, Luke. We aren`t bonded but it would be nice if we could go home together. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I really like to play around in pools and fountains, laze on couches or go on hikes with my buddies. I`m also a chatty cathy who will talk to you all day.I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home! You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.Come and visit me today, I`d love to go home with you!

Story
General about info for the dogs currently listed in this group: Permanent, Loving Homes Needed for Senior Rescue Dogs Over many years, I have monitored and tried to help this particular group of dogs. These dogs have been loved, responsibly vetted, and cared for throughout their lives, though not in an ideal overall situation. They were in a somewhat hoarding situation… not the typical not cared for at all one, but still applies. They were kept clean and fed and I paid for most of their vet care along the way, but their owner would not surrender them until now. Due to this: Adoption fees are all $300, but will be returned once proof of dental is given. I am finally allowed to find them homes, and cannot provide the level of long-term veterinary care these dogs deserve — including dental work, senior monitoring, and ongoing medical needs, thus, I am seeking permanent, stable homes where their remaining years can be lived with comfort, dignity, and consistency. What I am looking for • A calm, stable home • Someone experienced with senior dogs • Financial ability to provide ongoing veterinary and dental care • A commitment to keep them for life — no rehoming • Patience, kindness, and realistic expectations These dogs are older (aged 8 to 12 years old), and while many are still active, affectionate, and content, they will require the kind of care someone prepared for senior dogs can provide. What I will provide Full transparency about age, temperament, and medical needs Important medical history is known I do not have every vaccine record/etc but they are all spayed/ neutered, microchipped, and current on rabies vaccines Time for proper introductions Careful, thoughtful placement — this will not be rushed I am open to placing individual dogs or compatible pairs, and I will work closely with the right people to ensure a good match. If you are genuinely experienced with senior dogs and are prepared — financially and emotionally— to care for one for the rest of their life, please reach out by private message and tell me about yourself, your home, and your experience. These dogs deserve peace, safety, and love for the remainder of their lives. Thank you for reading with compassion. Hello, My name is Aurora. I am about 9 years old, and was born 10/7/2017. I am fully vetted, and in great health. First of all, please know I am WAY cuter than my pictures do justice. I am a little wiggle butt, and my foster parents have had trouble getting a good picture of me. Also, the white on my face makes me look way older than I act. It has progressed since I was a baby, but I really dont act like an old lady! My only issue is that I am desperate need of a dental cleaning. My teeth are better than my sister from the same litter, who just found a home, but she had to have almost all of her teeth removed. I will most likely need at least a good portion of mine removed as well. The good news is that my shining personality will make up for this slight issue. I am beyond happy to do whatever you do, as long as you give me a chance to get to know you. My dog mommy, whom I was around for the 1st year of my life, and thus learned a lot from her, was super nervous natured. I am not like her often, except at first in new situations. I will need probably about 2 weeks to settle in before you try to take me on walks outside or anything similar. I do use potty pads very well, though so that makes this transition time easier. I am silly with a lot of energy. I do like food, but not super food obsessed. I love cats and other small dogs. I will NOT do well around children unless they are older and super patient and super calm with me. I am FULLY vetted: fixed, 3 year rabies, DDAVP, microchip, heartworm tested negative multiple times, including recently, and current on heartworm and flea preventative. My stuff comes with me (crate, bed, toys, hw flea prev for 3-6 months depending on where I am in between vet visits). Still needed: dental, and lepto if you plan on taking me outside in any possible standing water your yard or other places. This wasnt a thing in Houston, but apparently is here.

Story
RAY IS A FOSPICE DOG (foster hospice) who will live out his life with MZ. You can SPONSOR his care! Please inquire if you are interested: give@motleyzoo.org Ray is 15 years young and been through a lot. Recently he lost his person who was unable to care for him anymore due to health reasons (in the human)- so we took him on where he can continue to enjoy the twilight of his time, surrounded by love and comfort. He has a long list of medical concerns from heart murmur, to oral fistulas (holes in his gums into his sinus cavity), missing and rotting teeth, IVDD as well as arthritis...but seriously, we want to bottle what this guy has because he's got spunk! He is a pretty chill dude but still finds the energy to run the fence chasing his neighbor pups and totters around the house looking for a soft place to snuggle. He's surrounded by other littles and a loving human who will continue to provide whatever he needs- until it's his time. Celebrate the seniors by sponsoring Ray's care. For as little as $10/ mo you can support his comfort for as long as we can continue to make that possible.
