The Herb Litter puppies are accepting adoption applications! These five precious pups came to us last month after having been found abandoned in eastern WA. They’ve since been in loving foster homes while we’ve gotten them veterinary care and gotten to know them, and they’re now ready to find their forever homes! We estimate they were born around mid-June and their breed is a bit of a mystery. Three of the pups (Oregano, Rosemary, and Sage) have the short, long bodies typical of dachshunds, while the other two (Thyme and Basil) are taller. Whatever their breed mix, these pups are irresistibly cute and will make wonderful companions in loving homes! We expect them to grow to about medium size, though their current weights vary. As of early October, Rosemary and Sage weigh around 11 pounds and will likely stay on the smaller side of medium. Oregano and Thyme are about 13 pounds, while Basil, the biggest of the bunch, weighs in at 19 pounds and may grow to be on the bigger side of medium. The Herb litter has already had a great start in their foster homes, but like all puppies, they will need continued exposure and training in their forever homes to grow up to be their best selves. If you are interested in adopting one of the Herb litter puppies, please fill out an application from our website https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. The puppies' adoption fee is $550 and they will come to their adopters spayed/neutered, microchipped, and with age appropriate vaccinations. Per our rescue policy, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old for puppies. We work closely with each approved applicant to determine the best match for each puppy and adoptive family based on what we know about their personalities and temperaments. Sunny once had a family. Along with 3 of her siblings, she was surrendered to our sister rescue in aguadalajaeaz Mexico.  She is an adorable lap dog, willing to please, very affectionate and resilient. She gets along well with other dogs and all people. ##2095584##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. PLEASE go to our website www.collarofhope.org to read all information about our puppies, rescue, adoption process and to submit our adoption application.  All of our information does not transfer to the adoption sites. Before completing our adoption application, please consider the following: Is someone home to raise and train a puppy? Do you have a securely fenced yard for the puppy? Can you give a puppy a 15ish year commitment? This puppy is from a litter of varied looks and likely 2 different Papa's, 1 unknown and 1 dachshund/mix.  Most of them have a jewel-like green with hint of blue eyes.  We aren't sure where that came from in a smaller breed but unique for sure.   They were born in our rescue and a surprise for us.  We took Mama Zoe in not knowing she was very pregnant.  None look like her.  She is a 17# dog so many may be around the same weight grown. This is the only short haired girl.   Puppies that are not old enough to have received all 3 puppy DHPP vaccines will not be adopted to anyone in apartment or condo residents as they are not protected against parvo or distemper until they've received all 3 vaccines. Our puppies are or will be neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated age appropriate (they will need additional vaccines), de-wormed and parasite treated/prevented throughout their time with CoH as a foster puppy.   Vaccine Protocol is as follows: DHPP series of 3 are needed and puppies are not protected against parvo or distemper until they're received ALL 3 vaccines. Sweet little lady was rescued in Yakima from a hoarding situation where she was left with her dog mates to fend for themselves for over a week. She as just gotten spayed and is ready for a family of her own. She is super sweet. She is good with other dogs and loves getting belly scratches. She would do best in a home with a female but warms up to men with time. She would love to have another dog in the home to help show her the ropes. She loves to give kisses and does great in a crate. Not a barker!
