Application form (copy and paste on your browser) https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FEYA/Dog Breed: Dachshund Chihuahua Mix DOB: 11/10/2025 Weight: 8 lbs Neutered: Yes Good with: Dogs • People Backstory: Surrendered because raising a young dog was "too much work" William never did anything wrong. He wasn't surrendered for being aggressive. He wasn't surrendered for having behavior problems. He wasn't surrendered because he stopped loving his family. He was surrendered because he was a young dog, and young dogs take time. At just 8 pounds, William found himself losing the only home he knew through no fault of his own. One day he had a family. The next day, he was looking for a new one. Despite the heartbreak of being surrendered, William has held onto his joyful spirit. This little Dachshund Chihuahua mix is playful, affectionate, and genuinely loves people. His tail seems to have a life of its own whenever he sees someone who might offer attention or playtime. William also enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely love a canine friend to romp around with. He has the kind of happy, social personality that makes people fall in love quickly. According to his surrendering owner, William was housetrained using a doggy door. His current foster home does not have a doggy door, so his new family should be prepared to help him learn a new potty routine and continue reinforcing his training as he settles in. Like most young dogs, William still has energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for life. He isn't looking for perfection. He's looking for someone willing to invest a little time, provide guidance, and understand that puppies and young dogs don't stay young forever. What breaks our hearts is knowing that William lost his home simply for being exactly what he was supposed to be: a young dog learning about the world. Now he's hoping for a family who sees his potential instead of his work. A family that understands that patience today turns into loyalty for years to come. A family that won't give up when life gets busy. William has so much love left to give. All he needs is someone willing to give him the forever he deserves. OUR LOCATION & TRANSPORT POLICY: Fur Ever Yours Animal Rescue is based in Okanogan County (Eastern Washington), where our dedicated first-line foster homes are located and where veterinary care is most accessible. Because we cross-list our dogs in multiple regions to help them find the perfect match, you may see this dog listed in several cities. For Small Dogs (Under 20 lbs): Once an adoption application is fully approved, we provide volunteer-based transport to designated meeting spots in Ellensburg, Leavenworth, Wenatchee, Moses Lake, or Brewster for Western/Central WA families. For Eastern WA, Montana, or Idaho Families: We host pre-arranged adoption meet-and-greets in Reardan or Spokane Valley. Please Note: We do not transport dogs sight-unseen without an approved application and processed adoption fee. ADOPTION FEES & MISSION: Our adoption fees do not purchase an individual pet; rather, they act as a direct donation that funds our entire rescue ecosystem. Because we pull medical cases, seniors, and neglected animals from under-resourced rural areas, your adoption fee is pooled directly into our medical fund. This directly supports the rehabilitation, dental surgeries, and specialized care of every single dog currently resting under our roof. Ready to make our rescue dog a permanent part of your family? Story

Meet Anastasia! 🐾 Anastasia is a petite 7-8 year-old, 9-pound sweetheart looking for a patient, loving home of her own. She is incredibly loyal and affectionate once she knows and trusts you. Anastasia isn’t the kind of girl who gives her heart away immediately—she needs a little time to settle in, decompress, and get comfortable with new people. But once you become her people, you’re in! She bonds deeply and is a wonderfully devoted companion. Anastasia does well with small, older, polite dogs and is great with cats. A quieter home where she can adjust at her own pace would be ideal. She is: Spayed Microchipped Up to date on rabies vaccination Current on heartworm and flea prevention Anastasia does need a dental, which her adopter should plan to address with their veterinarian. And about that haircut! 😊 Anastasia normally has an adorable soft, scruffy coat, approximately 1–1½ inches long. Her very caring foster recently gave her an extra-short summer haircut to help keep her comfortable in the upcoming heat. The short-haired photos were taken July 20, 2026, so her trademark scruffy look will grow back! Anastasia is currently being fostered in the Seattle area. Adoption fee will be returned once proof of follow-up veterinary care is provided. If you’re looking for a small, loyal companion and are willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe and settle in, Anastasia may be your girl. ❤️

Story

Sunny is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish her as a family member. She is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want her transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Sunny can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life. In the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Sunny is never without a safety net; she will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until her perfect home is found. Meet Sunny! Age: 7 months old (Birthday: February 27, 2026) Gender: Female Breed Mix: Possible Chiweenie Mix Size: Estimated to grow to medium-sized (currently around 25 lbs in early September) Sunny is a gorgeous, gentle young pup looking for a loving, understanding family to call her own! She and her siblings were surrendered to us after we helped get their mom and dad fixed, and now she is ready for a peaceful home where she can flourish. Personality & Traits: The Ultimate Low-Rider: Sunny takes the award for being the absolute lowest to the ground of the whole litter! With her super cute short legs and a stunning, vibrant red coat, she is a real head-turner. Gentle & Timid Heart: Sunny is the most timid of her siblings and takes a little extra time to build up her confidence when meeting new people or encountering new situations. She has a very sweet, soft soul and doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body—she just needs a tender touch. Great with Other Dogs: Having canine companions around really helps Sunny feel secure! She is currently kenneled with her siblings, and they happily share their space, food, and water without any trouble. Cats & Felines: Sunny has not been formally tested living indoors with cats, but she is exposed to the outdoor cats roaming around our rescue grounds. Given her gentle nature, she should do just fine with cats as long as she is taught proper manners and boundaries—which are usually set by the cat! Ideal Home: Sunny needs a patient, low-pressure home that will give her the time and space to come out of her shell at her own pace. Because of her timid nature, a quiet home with children aged 5 and up would be the best fit for her. If you have a gentle heart and a patient home for a shy, red-coated "low-rider" beauty, Sunny will reward you with boundless sweetness as she learns to trust! Video of Sunny from August 27: https://youtube.com/shorts/yrNZq4nErCI?is=4gMiy84P5kxinpKL The adoption includes: Fully Vetted: Sunny is already spayed and up-to-date on all her essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). Prevention: She has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She tested heartworm negative. Safety First: To ensure she is in tip-top shape for her new family, she will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate. All performed within 10 days of her transport date. Adoption Details Sunny's adoption fee is $900. This fee is all-inclusive, covering her spay, all veterinary care listed above, and her seat on a professional transport service dedicated to getting her safely to your area. Meet Sandy! Age: 7 months old (Birthday: February 27, 2026) Gender: Female Breed Mix: Possible Chiweenie Mix Size: Estimated to grow to medium-sized (currently around 25 lbs) Sandy is an adorable, fun-loving young pup looking for her loving forever family! She and her siblings came to us after we helped get their mom and dad fixed, and she’s ready to bring so much joy into a new home. Personality & Traits: The Social Butterfly: Sandy holds the crown as the most outgoing of her entire litter! While she can still show a tiny bit of initial timidness with brand-new people—as many young pups do—she quickly bounces out of her shell and shows off her cheerful, happy-go-lucky personality. Irresistible Low-Rider Build: Just like her brother, Sandy has that hugely popular "low-rider" look with her cute short legs and sweet frame that instantly captures everyone's attention! Great with Other Dogs: Sandy absolutely loves canine companionship. She is currently kenneled with her siblings, and they happily share their space, food, and water without any issues. Because she can have a moment of initial timidness when meeting new friends, a home with children aged 5 and up would likely be the best fit.
