Story
Pollen Playful, Confident Dachshund/Pug Mix DOB: July 11, 2024 (2 yrs old) Breed: Dachshund/Pug Mix Spayed Female Weight: 13 lbs Microchipped & fully vaccinated Personality: Pollen is a confident, cheerful girl who walks beautifully on a leash and loves every adventure. She’s super playful and behaves very much like a puppy — full of energy, curiosity, and joy. Pollen thrives in an active home where she can run, play, and be part of daily life. She’s a rough and tumble player who loves wrestling, chasing, and bold play, and she’ll need a dog friend with an equally strong personality to match her spark. She would also be perfectly happy as your one and only — she bonds deeply and loves being someone’s whole world. When she finally tires out, she melts into soft naps beside her people, content and peaceful in the safety of their presence. Pollen is clever and determined, and she can scale a 5 foot chain link fence — not to escape, but simply to follow her people wherever they go. A solid fence is ideal, though we’re open to no fence for a breed savvy adopter who understands her spirited nature and keeps her close. She’s well adjusted, social with people and dogs, and ready for a family who sees the joy in her bright, affectionate heart. Pollen isn’t just looking for a home — she’s looking for someone who understands that spirited dogs love just as fiercely as gentle ones, and that her playful energy is part of what makes her unforgettable. OUR LOCATION & TRANSPORT POLICY: Fur Ever Yours Dog Rescue is based in Okanogan County (Eastern Washington), where our dedicated first-line foster homes are located and where veterinary care is most accessible. Because we cross-list our dogs in multiple regions to help them find the perfect match, you may see this dog listed in several cities. For Small Dogs (Under 20 lbs): Once an adoption application is fully approved, we provide volunteer-based transport to designated meeting spots in Ellensburg, Leavenworth, Wenatchee, Moses Lake, or Brewster for Western/Central WA families. For Eastern WA, Montana, or Idaho Families: We host pre-arranged adoption meet-and-greets in Reardan or Spokane Valley. Please Note: We do not transport dogs sight-unseen without an approved application and processed adoption fee. ADOPTION FEES & MISSION: Our adoption fees do not purchase an individual pet; rather, they act as a direct donation that funds our entire rescue ecosystem. Because we pull medical cases, seniors, and neglected animals from under-resourced rural areas, your adoption fee is pooled directly into our medical fund. This directly supports the rehabilitation, dental surgeries, and specialized care of every single dog currently resting under our roof. Ready to make our rescue dog a permanent part of your family? Meet Anastasia! 🐾 Anastasia is a petite 7-8 year-old, 9-pound sweetheart looking for a patient, loving home of her own. She is incredibly loyal and affectionate once she knows and trusts you. Anastasia isn’t the kind of girl who gives her heart away immediately—she needs a little time to settle in, decompress, and get comfortable with new people. But once you become her people, you’re in! She bonds deeply and is a wonderfully devoted companion. Anastasia does well with small, older, polite dogs and is great with cats. A quieter home where she can adjust at her own pace would be ideal. She is: Spayed Microchipped Up to date on rabies vaccination Current on heartworm and flea prevention Anastasia does need a dental, which her adopter should plan to address with their veterinarian. And about that haircut! 😊 Anastasia normally has an adorable soft, scruffy coat, approximately 1–1½ inches long. Her very caring foster recently gave her an extra-short summer haircut to help keep her comfortable in the upcoming heat. The short-haired photos were taken July 20, 2026, so her trademark scruffy look will grow back! Anastasia is currently being fostered in the Seattle area. Adoption fee will be returned once proof of follow-up veterinary care is provided. If you’re looking for a small, loyal companion and are willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe and settle in, Anastasia may be your girl. ❤️

Story
Welcome Cosmo to CCPAL Rescue. Cosmo is an Dachshund/Beagle is our best guess. He is about 18 pounds now and should be small sized full grown. We think 25 full grown. He is very sweet, has good eye contact and has a soft coat and down ears. He is active and the group is vocal but not over the top. He is one of the shyer pups and would be great for a family or person that is moderate to less active. He won’t be the social butterfly but will be a fantastic companion pet for someone. If a person is a quieter person wanting an easy and loveable pup that is content being with you, this is your match. A person that does not work all day every day for 5 days a week is the best for a puppy. Someone that can work from home some or has partial days or some days off to spend to help your new puppy acclimate is best. You need time to be with your puppy to socialize them and to finish off their puppy training. Cosmo was very easy to handle taking his photos and he wasn’t afraid of new people and liked being held. He sat on the table with confidence while we worked with him. He is getting daily attention and holding at the Rescue. He is getting his DHPP vaccinations and dewormed. He is good in his play group. He is kenneled in the evening and is learning to go potty on a wee pad. He is currently at the CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.

Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Story
Welcome Arty to CCPAL Rescue. Arty is a 2 year old Dashchund/Parsons Jack Russel is our best guess using AI technology. He weighs 25 pounds. This boy is very sweet. He is calm, good with other dogs, relatively quiet and not too vocal. This description doesn’t fit with the breeds mentioned but this is his behavior. He is good with other dogs and very laid back. He has a coarse coat, and it isn’t too much of a shedding dog. He is sturdy enough to be a good walking companion. He would be fine in a smaller yard like a condo yard and would be ok with a moderately active family. He is a gem and he loves humans, despite his previous experience with them. He is kenneled with another small dog that came from the same place and he does well. He will be neutered soon and looking for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $450 and transport to one the areas above is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Welcome Drummer to CCPAL Rescue. Drummer is an 8-year-old wire-haired Dachshund. He was adopted out by us 4 years ago. He was 4 at the time. He has been loved and bonded deeply to the woman that adopted him. He would love another home with a quieter home that would allow him to get the attention he needs and deserves. He has found himself in need of a new forever home. His owner has been put in hospice and can no longer care for him. The immediate family cannot care for him so we stepped up and will find this precious boy his new forever home. He is trying to adjust to the Rescue again. The treats from our friends in New Jersey helped him today along with all the nice gifts. His owner has been put in hospice and can no longer care for him. The immediate family cannot care for him so we stepped up and will find this precious boy his new forever home. 5.5 may sound out but it truly is middle aged in Dachshunds lifespans. They can easily live to be 17 years old. If you love the breed, you know how loyal and bonded these dogs are to their person. They are a single dog person dog. They may love other people but they are loyal to one. He sheds some but not over the top. He is a good weight and his teeth are not too bad for his age. You can tell he was cared for and that he is disoriented with his new arrangement at the Rescue. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
