Hi! My name is Duke and I am available for adoption!I weigh 13.8 lbs and am considered a `small breed` dog.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!Surprisingly I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other dogs. I came in with a buddy, Luke. We aren`t bonded but it would be nice if we could go home together. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I really like to play around in pools and fountains, laze on couches or go on hikes with my buddies. I`m also a chatty cathy who will talk to you all day.I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home! You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.Come and visit me today, I`d love to go home with you!

Story
Est. DOB: 05/15/2024 Adoption fee: $275 *(Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Dudley is an energetic Dachshund mix with a huge personality and plenty to say. This resilient little guy has been through a lot, including spending time unhoused and living in a car, but he's survived it all with determination and spirit intact. Dudley is very guarded with new people and makes his opinions known loudly. He barks at strangers and takes time to accept new people into his circle. He is not the kind of dog who instantly warms up to everyone, and he will need an experienced adopter who understands dogs that are protective, wary, and slow to trust. Once Dudley feels secure and builds a relationship with you, he is loyal, devoted, and deeply bonded to his people. He wants stability, structure, and a home where he feels safe. Because of his vocal nature and alert personality, he would do best in a house rather than an apartment. Dudley is looking for an adult-only home without children and with someone committed to continuing his training and helping him navigate the world successfully. He needs patience, consistency, and clear boundaries from someone willing to earn his trust instead of expecting instant affection. This little guy has already proven how tough and resilient he is. Now he's ready for a fresh start with the right person someone who sees past his tough exterior and is willing to give him the secure, understanding home he deserves. Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Disclaimer: Please note that dogs in a rescue environment may behave differently than they would in a home setting. While we do our best to assess each dogs habits and behaviors, we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty trained or will not have accidents after adoption. Changes in environment, routine, stress levels, and transition into a new home can all impact a dogs house-training habits. Patience, consistency, and continued training may be needed as the dog adjusts to their new home. Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. Story
General about info for the dogs currently listed in this group: Permanent, Loving Homes Needed for Senior Rescue Dogs Over many years, I have monitored and tried to help this particular group of dogs. These dogs have been loved, responsibly vetted, and cared for throughout their lives, though not in an ideal overall situation. They were in a somewhat hoarding situation… not the typical not cared for at all one, but still applies. They were kept clean and fed and I paid for most of their vet care along the way, but their owner would not surrender them until now. Due to this: Adoption fees are all $300, but will be returned once proof of dental is given. I am finally allowed to find them homes, and cannot provide the level of long-term veterinary care these dogs deserve — including dental work, senior monitoring, and ongoing medical needs, thus, I am seeking permanent, stable homes where their remaining years can be lived with comfort, dignity, and consistency. What I am looking for • A calm, stable home • Someone experienced with senior dogs • Financial ability to provide ongoing veterinary and dental care • A commitment to keep them for life — no rehoming • Patience, kindness, and realistic expectations These dogs are older (aged 8 to 12 years old), and while many are still active, affectionate, and content, they will require the kind of care someone prepared for senior dogs can provide. What I will provide Full transparency about age, temperament, and medical needs Important medical history is known I do not have every vaccine record/etc but they are all spayed/ neutered, microchipped, and current on rabies vaccines Time for proper introductions Careful, thoughtful placement — this will not be rushed I am open to placing individual dogs or compatible pairs, and I will work closely with the right people to ensure a good match. If you are genuinely experienced with senior dogs and are prepared — financially and emotionally— to care for one for the rest of their life, please reach out by private message and tell me about yourself, your home, and your experience. These dogs deserve peace, safety, and love for the remainder of their lives. Thank you for reading with compassion. Hello, My name is Aurora. I am about 9 years old, and was born 10/7/2017. I am fully vetted, and in great health. First of all, please know I am WAY cuter than my pictures do justice. I am a little wiggle butt, and my foster parents have had trouble getting a good picture of me. Also, the white on my face makes me look way older than I act. It has progressed since I was a baby, but I really dont act like an old lady! My only issue is that I am desperate need of a dental cleaning. My teeth are better than my sister from the same litter, who just found a home, but she had to have almost all of her teeth removed. I will most likely need at least a good portion of mine removed as well. The good news is that my shining personality will make up for this slight issue. I am beyond happy to do whatever you do, as long as you give me a chance to get to know you. My dog mommy, whom I was around for the 1st year of my life, and thus learned a lot from her, was super nervous natured. I am not like her often, except at first in new situations. I will need probably about 2 weeks to settle in before you try to take me on walks outside or anything similar. I do use potty pads very well, though so that makes this transition time easier. I am silly with a lot of energy. I do like food, but not super food obsessed. I love cats and other small dogs. I will NOT do well around children unless they are older and super patient and super calm with me. I am FULLY vetted: fixed, 3 year rabies, DDAVP, microchip, heartworm tested negative multiple times, including recently, and current on heartworm and flea preventative. My stuff comes with me (crate, bed, toys, hw flea prev for 3-6 months depending on where I am in between vet visits). Still needed: dental, and lepto if you plan on taking me outside in any possible standing water your yard or other places. This wasnt a thing in Houston, but apparently is here.
