A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Poor innocent, sweet & forgotten about Gapy, was ready to be euthanized in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. An email went out for help & this beautiful boy was on that list. Yes, it appears at the age of 3 he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable. We rescued this beautiful boy & 2 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter from that very same kill list all at once. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Gapy who is now looking for his very own forever home who will never give up on him again & love him just as his foster mum & we do. After we got Gapy all his care with his amazing foster mum he will be bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. We truly believe that Gapy was originally someone’s dog & they just did not want him anymore from his mannerisms & his behavior of knowing certain things. All this boy wants is to be loved & have a home to call his own. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we got him out of the shelter his nails were so extremely long & his nails were clipped by our vets but will need to be & regularly dremeled to get them to a good place. Gapy at times can have a big personality & knows what he wants. He isn’t the biggest cuddler but enjoys being patted & being loved. He is a independent little man. That being said, Gapy is a good eater, he loves to eat & he is making up for lost time & put on weight instantly in his foster home. Gapy’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He also enjoys sunning himself in the backyard & also sitting on the couch & looking out the window, he really enjoys taking in the sites. But he will also do his own thing. Gapy has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. Gapy rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. But has done amazing in his foster home. We are looking for a forever home for Gapy where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog in the home for him to thrive. Gapy loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. This boy enjoys going into a crate sometimes so that tells us that someone used to call him to go into a crate. In his foster home he sleeps in the bed with his foster mum or will sleep on the dog bed. Gapy is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Gappy eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of his treats are homemade Gapy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with a playful dog. Gapy is roughly just over 8 years old, 21 lbs and is perhaps a rat terrier mix & male. He had a dental & polish & we got him neutered. Gapy is, microchipped, heart worm negative, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we do not redo them as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs & will only redo rabies. We have spent far more on Gapy, with all of his medical care getting him well thank his adoption fee comes close to covering with, neuter, paying his shelter fee to get him out of the shelter, shots, flea meds, dewormer, boarding, dental scale & polish etc. Gapy has been around cats since being in the rescue & did well with the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Just because he got along fine with the cat in the foster home doesn’t mean he will get along with all cats. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Gapy was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Gapy’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Gapy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Gapy has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Gapy & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Gapy who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little chap. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Gapy has an adoption fee of $750 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Meet Anastasia! 🐾 Anastasia is a petite 7-8 year-old, 9-pound sweetheart looking for a patient, loving home of her own. She is incredibly loyal and affectionate once she knows and trusts you. Anastasia isn’t the kind of girl who gives her heart away immediately—she needs a little time to settle in, decompress, and get comfortable with new people. But once you become her people, you’re in! She bonds deeply and is a wonderfully devoted companion. Anastasia does well with small, older, polite dogs and is great with cats. A quieter home where she can adjust at her own pace would be ideal. She is: Spayed Microchipped Up to date on rabies vaccination Current on heartworm and flea prevention Anastasia does need a dental, which her adopter should plan to address with their veterinarian. And about that haircut! 😊 Anastasia normally has an adorable soft, scruffy coat, approximately 1–1½ inches long. Her very caring foster recently gave her an extra-short summer haircut to help keep her comfortable in the upcoming heat. The short-haired photos were taken July 20, 2026, so her trademark scruffy look will grow back! Anastasia is currently being fostered in the Seattle area. Adoption fee will be returned once proof of follow-up veterinary care is provided. Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Arty to CCPAL Rescue. Arty is a 2 year old Dashchund/Parsons Jack Russel is our best guess using AI technology. He weighs 25 pounds. This boy is very sweet. He is calm, good with other dogs, relatively quiet and not too vocal. This description doesn’t fit with the breeds mentioned but this is his behavior. He is good with other dogs and very laid back. He has a coarse coat, and it isn’t too much of a shedding dog. He is sturdy enough to be a good walking companion. He would be fine in a smaller yard like a condo yard and would be ok with a moderately active family. He is a gem and he loves humans, despite his previous experience with them. He is kenneled with another small dog that came from the same place and he does well. He will be neutered soon and looking for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Recently he lost his person who was unable to care for him anymore due to health reasons (in the human)- so we took him on where he can continue to enjoy the twilight of his time, surrounded by love and comfort. He has a long list of medical concerns from heart murmur, to oral fistulas (holes in his gums into his sinus cavity), missing and rotting teeth, IVDD as well as arthritis...but seriously, we want to bottle what this guy has because he's got spunk! He is a pretty chill dude but still finds the energy to run the fence chasing his neighbor pups and totters around the house looking for a soft place to snuggle. He's surrounded by other littles and a loving human who will continue to provide whatever he needs- until it's his time. Celebrate the seniors by sponsoring Ray's care.
