Story
Jax was found trying to eat from a dumpster on the campus of the local University. Rescued, he has been neutered, given his vaccines and housebroken. Jax is very loving and is a giant puppy. He loves long walks and cuddles. Extremely loving. He has a strong prey drive and is easily trained. He does well in an apartment and is crate trained. Jax has not been around cats. Jax does not do well around farm animals. He will chase cattle and horses. But other than that is a great dog.

Story
Jax was found wondering the campus of Jacksonville State University 3 years ago at Christmas. He has been with us ever since but we are currently living with relatives while we look for a place and they are afraid of bully breeds and frankly we can’t afford to find a place quickly…if we had another choice we would absolutely keep him he is a big sweet very smart baby who thinks he is a purse dog and loves piling up in your lap…

Story
URGENT GAVE BIRTH TODAY!! Urgent Foster/Rescue Needed for Samantha and Her 2 Newborn Puppies This is Samantha, a very sweet, loving dog who was abandoned after her owners were arrested and went to jail. She and another dog were left starving, so I have been feeding and caring for them. Samantha just gave birth today to two puppies, and they urgently need a safe place to go. She is housebroken, loves car rides, enjoys being outside in the garden, and is very affectionate. She is gentle, mindful, and full of love — she may even sneak a kiss when you are not looking. Due to my recent health issues and already having two dogs of my own, I can no longer care for Samantha and her babies the way they deserve. She has been through enough and needs a loving home, foster, or rescue as soon as possible.

Story
I rescued Zara in Tennessee. She had been running about. Guessed age 1-3 years but she was definitely a puppy. She grew a lot and had puppy behaviors. She had separation anxiety and hated being crated. She can crate now if it s the right cage and anchored so she can not move it. Cage no longer than 4 hours. She does well in outdoor kennel for up to 8 hours but again it has to be inescapable. She adores children and her people. Loves people more than dogs but she does play well with those closer to her size. She’s a Velcro dog. She will not be happy if left alone too often. Very smart but will need consistent boundaries or she will lean toward being dominant. She responds better to praise than loud or physical forcing. She now will stay in yard or very close at neighbors WHILE I’m home. You can’t leave her out and go. She will look for someone who is home. Scared of thunder and fireworks. She is a love bug. Not a working dog.

Story
Peanut is a senior mixed breed, presumably part pug given the markings on his face. He is around 20 pounds, and 15-16 years old. (We aren't sure because dad adopted him from the humane society.) He is neutered. We learned a few weeks ago that he has a heart murmur, and he is on medication. He is losing sight and hearing, but neither completely. He belonged to my recently deceased father and is accustomed to being an only dog. He tends to challenge other males, even if they are much bigger, so he probably would do best continuing as an only dog. We have never had him around kids, but I don't think he would do well with them. (He definitely does not like to be picked up, for example.) He likes to go outside in the yard and also to snuggle up with his person. My sister and I would love to keep him, but we have moved abroad and already have 6 other dogs and a cat. We just don't think he could thrive there. If you like senior dogs, he will make a great family member

Story
Who says you can't have the best of both worlds? Cosmo is a versatile boy, playful and silly and in love with toys. On the flip side, he can also hang out by himself and let you get stuff done while he takes care of yard patrol. He enjoys people and will settle in for a good belly rub session. He takes his yard patrol seriously, though, and is not compatible with other critters.   Est DOB: Jul 2018  *  Est weight: 43# * Breed unknown - guess based on looksMarch 7, 2026, 12:01 pm
