Story
Smiley, squatty Maverick wants to dazzle you with his charm. With his happy grin, adorable head tilt, and friendly happy nature, he is sure to succeed! Mav loves soaking in the sun with his favorite people, whether exploring a yard or exploring new places on walks. He is...mostly...good on leash, though sometimes the exciting world around him is a bit distracting ('Squirrel!'). You can get his attention back with some tasty treats, and he'll quickly remember that he knows to walk nice, and also knows sit. He's a people-oriented fellow who isn't wanting to share his space with other animals.   ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Sep 2020 ~  Intake weight:  60#  ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.html  November 1, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
Lucas got his wires crossed a little bit and seems to think he's a cat! A dog-loving cat, that is. He is great with others of all ages and would thrive with a confident dog to guide him in a home. He is a very quiet and calm boy with really nice manners and a love of treats. But, cat-like, he prefers to live in the background. He might follow you and observe your goings on...or not. He's not a cuddle bug and will move off under too much social pressure. So he is looking for a calm home full of respect for his true, somewhat feline, nature. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  May 2022 ~  Est weight: 48#~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJanuary 24, 2025, 8:44 pm

Kassidy lives life with intensity! With energy on the higher side, she is looking for activity and engagement in her new home. Because she is a lot of dog, she requires someone with prior dog experience to give her structure. She excels at training and adores people. But  she is obsessive about other animals, so needs to be an only pet for everyone's happiness.  ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Feb 2022 ~  Intake weight:  50#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlNovember 1, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
Max is on the hunt for his one and only, a special someone who will truly appreciate him for the unique and mighty pup he is. He may seem a bit standoffish at first, but once you earn his trust, you'll discover a loyal and loving companion. Max prefers a calm, quiet home where he can be the star of the show. He’s not too fond of other pets, so he’s looking for a home where he can shine all on his own. Max walks beautifully on a leash and loves attention, especially when there’s a treat involved! Sure, he’s got his quirks (who doesn’t?), but in a world full of “normal,” isn’t a little bit of weirdness what makes life fun? If you think you can handle Max’s mighty personality, he might just be the perfect match for you. Come meet him – his trust and love are waiting for you! ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  All pets are spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter~  Est DOB: Sept 2019~  Intake weight:  80#~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlFebruary 17, 2025, 3:29 pm
