Story
Meet Nora! Nora is a stunning 5-year-old, 60 lb lab/German Shepherd mix with a loyal heart and a love for her people. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side — your shadow, your adventure buddy, your best friend. This smart girl is housebroken, crate trained, and fully obedience trained. She walks beautifully on a leash and loves being part of whatever her humans are doing. Nora’s story started off rough — she and her siblings were found abandoned in a box on the side of the road as tiny puppies. Thanks to a wonderful rescue mom, they all grew up healthy and strong and found homes. Nora’s first home wasn’t the perfect fit, but she’s ready for her true forever family now. Nora would do best as either an only dog or with a stable male companion, as she doesn’t get along well with other females. She also needs caution and supervision around cats. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with great manners and a big heart, Nora is ready to be your girl!April 8, 2026, 11:14 pm

Story
Ruby Red is a 3-month-old female Shepherd/Husky mix.  She was brought in by a kind lady who witnessed someone with a box of puppies giving them away at a local park.  Ruby Red was only 6 weeks old when this happened.  She has been at PAHS for a couple of months--getting healthy and old enough for adoption.  Ruby Red has a black and tan coat; and she will be a medium sized adult dog.  She is timid and shy but warms up to anyone who shows her kindness.  Once she gets to know you; she is wide open with her playfulness!  Ruby Red would be good with children and other dogs.  She is a precious little sweetheart.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  April 8, 2026, 8:41 pm

Cruze is a 2-year-old male Terrier mix who has already been neutered.  He was brought in as a stray and no owner claimed him.  Cruze has a medium length white coat with gorgeous white markings.  He only weighs 18 pounds so he is considered to be a small dog.  He is bright-eyed and busy!  Cruze's playful activeness keeps us all entertained.  Cruze would do well with other dogs and children.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120. Story
Louie is a 4-month-old male Yellow Lab who must be neutered before adoption.  He came to PAHS as a stray; and we were shocked his owner did not claim him.  Louie has a gorgeous yellow coat that is so soft.  He is a big fellow who already weighs 37 pounds!  Louie is going to be an extra large adult dog.  We have to say that he is laid back, calm, and quiet mellow--a very chill pup!  Louie is loving, affectionate, and sweet as sugar.  He would be a wonderful family dog who would do well with children and other dogs.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.
