Story
Meet Happy Adoption Fee: $275 Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Happy’s name fits him perfectly — because despite everything he’s been through, this little guy still greets the world with a wagging tail and a happy heart. ❤️ Happy came to us from a large group of corgis after a breeder shut down. He was actually the very last corgi we took in, and while his past was not the life any dog deserves, that chapter is finally behind him. Since coming into rescue, Happy has received the care he always should have had. He was recently neutered, had a much-needed dental with several teeth removed, and is now settling into a life filled with kindness, comfort, good food, and soft beds. He is also a little overweight, so we are helping him safely slim down and get healthier every day. What has amazed us most is how sweet Happy is. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids. He’s affectionate, gentle, easygoing, and simply a joy to be around. He truly deserves a family who will cherish him for the rest of his life. Because humans failed him once before, we are going to be very careful about where Happy goes next. We are looking for a local Alabama home committed to giving him the love, patience, and lifelong care he deserves. This needs to be the last home change Happy ever experiences. If you are serious about opening your heart and home to this deserving little corgi, please send in an application. Happy is ready to finally know what forever feels like. 🐾 Here's the adoption application, please copy & paste. https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 **To see all of our pets available for adoption, please copy &paste this link. https://www.adoptapet.com/pet-search?radius=50&postalCode=02919&awos[0]=165123&filterMode=all Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Story
Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.Mason is an 1-and-1/2 year old male Shepherd mix who has already been neutered.  He was brought to PAHS because he was too active and playful for his family's older dog.  Mason is such a handsome boy who is mostly black with white and brown markings.  He currently weighs 45 pounds so he is considered to be a medium sized adult dog.  This playful fellow has been fine with other dogs at the shelter; and he would be just fine with children.  Come meet our happy Mason soon!Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  *****Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.*****May 7, 2026, 9:06 pm

She came to PAHS as a stray from a local neighborhood; and her owner never claimed her.  Abilene is a gorgeous little doll.  Her long coat is tan with some white markings.  We believe she will be a large adult dog.  Abilene is a very active puppy who loves to play with just about anybody--dogs, staff, volunteers, and children!  She never meets a stranger!  Friendly Abilene will make a great family dog for some lucky adopter!Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.
