Story
I rescued her from shelter about 11 months ago and was working from home. Now I've been called back to office and she isn't adjusting well at all. She needs to be with a stay at home person, due to her separation anxiety. She is a very loving girl once she gets use to you and you become her person. She also needs to have a fenced yard as well. My heart is breaking to let her go.

Story
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING MIA, PLEASE FIRST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://pepperspals.org/adoption-application/ Mia is a beautiful, 8-year-old, pure-bred American Pit Bull Terrier who loves to snuggle and be with her people. This super-smart girl is kennel trained, potty trained, and good with small animals – including cats! Mia is good with most dogs (after a slow intro), but large dogs and high-energy dogs will not make great long-term companions. The dog park scene is much too chaotic for Mia, and she much prefers quietly lounging in her own private backyard. Yard time is a must for this sunbathing queen! At the end of the day (or whenever you’re away), Mia prefers the peace and comfort of her kennel. The structure of kennel-time helps settle Mia’s mind when she’s alone. Mia thrives in a structured environment where she knows exactly what to expect. We don’t know much about Mia’s past, but it’s clear she was abused and came to us with trust issues. The cool thing about Mia is that she wants to trust and looks to her people for guidance in situations that make her uncomfortable. She is very handler-motivated and excellent at listening to verbal cues. This special girl could use an exceptional dog owner who understands dog communication, is adept at recognizing their body language, and is comfortable advocating for her personal space. Please first fill out an adoption application if you’re interested in setting up an appointment to meet Mia: https://pepperspals.org/adoption-application/ **$100 Adoption fee includes: vaccinations, dewormed, spay, and microchipped.

Story
Max is a sensitive, low-key guy who wants a calm home and a person he can bond with deeply. He’s not a social dog and doesn’t enjoy busy environments, high activity, or a lot of new interactions — he’s happiest with his person, his routines, and a peaceful space where he can just exist comfortably. Max would prefer to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. But in his current foster home, he has been learning how to live with other dogs and is becoming increasingly respectful. His quick or unexpected movements can make other dogs unsure of him, but he truly just wants calm, predictable companionship and a comfy place to sleep. Max is crate trained, potty trained, and enjoys walks, though he takes the world in at his own pace. In the car, he rides best when he’s in a kennel — otherwise he likes to wander the cabin, which isn’t ideal for safety. Give him a secure spot, and he settles in just fine. His foster describes him as sweet, goofy, and incredibly loyal. He loves quiet couch time, bedtime snuggles, and being close to his person without any pressure to be “on.” If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted companion who wants nothing more than a calm home and a loving “boy mom,” Max may be the perfect match.

Meet Brutus! 🐾💛 Approx. 5 years old • Professional Wiggle Butt • Certified Good Boy Brutus is the full pug package: silly, snuggly, playful, a little dramatic when he wants attention, and completely devoted to his person. He adores being near his humans and has a natural “tell me what to do and I’ll try my best!” eagerness that makes him a joy to work with. We’re still getting to know him, but so far Brutus has shown us he’s: ✨ A wiggly, happy little guy ✨ Playful and goofy ✨ A champion cuddler ✨ Eager to learn and please ✨ Very much the classic pug personality wrapped in one adorable, smushy face If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who will make you laugh, warm your lap, and follow you around with earnest eyes, Brutus might just be your perfect match. Story
🏃‍♀️ Meet Mac — The Athletic, Independent Tomboy! 🏃‍♀️ If you’re looking for a sporty, confident girl who does things on her own terms, Mac is your go-to gal. She’s the perfect mix of playful energy and independent charm, a lean, mean, adventure-loving machine who will keep you on your toes (literally). ⚡ Mac’s Highlights: Athletic & Adventurous: She can scale couches, tables, and anything else that looks like a fun challenge. Training is key, but it’s all part of her playful spirit. Independent But Friendly: She enjoys hanging near humans and other dogs, but she’s not a super cuddler — she likes to pick her moments. Dog & Kid Friendly: She’ll play nicely with pups and gently interact with kids once she’s comfortable. Leash Lover: Walks are her jam! She loves to pull ahead and explore. Kennel & Car Smart: Totally crate trained, and while she can be vocal at times, she settles down quickly. Car rides? Calm and observant. Sunshine & Fun: Loves outdoor time, playing, and soaking up the sun — she’s happiest when she’s active and free to explore. ✨ Personality Snapshot: Mac is the kind of girl who marches to her own beat — a playful, adventurous, and independent spirit who thrives with a family that can match her energy and let her shine. She’s not needy, she’s not clingy, she’s just Mac: a confident, athletic tomboy ready for her forever home.
