Story
Scruffy is a 1½-year-old Terrier mix and weighs 9.7 pounds. He came to M.A.I.N. when he had problems with his back legs and lack of control over peeing and pooping. Scruffy completed physical therapy and acupuncture treatments as well. Both treatments have helped him. His legs are much better. His bladder and bowel control have improved but aren’t perfect. He still has accidents but does give some warning when he needs to poop. Scruffy’s personality is wonderful and hilarious. He plays until he’s tired but will settle down when he needs to. He loves toys, especially squeaky ones and does well with other dogs. He’s been staying with M.A.I.N. Alum, Addie, and has done well. Scruffy also enjoys cuddling with his human and being around them. And of course, he is quite a fan of treats. Scruffy needs some training because, at times, he lacks manners. When it comes to his treats and food, Scruffy is possessive. Also, he has some insecurities. He isn’t sure about all cats. It’s not that he wants to hurt them, but he can’t always figure out how to play with them. So, he sometimes chooses to play by chasing them. He’s also insecure about men and children. Again, not that he’s vicious, he seems to be unsure about them. It’s possible that he’s never been around either. He is truly a wonderful boy. Scruffy has been neutered, microchipped, licensed with Maricopa County, and is up to date on vaccines. If you’re interested in adoption or have questions about sweet Scruffy please fill out our adoption application here: adoption application or email us at: medicalanimalsinneed@gmail.com.

Story
I got Xoey when she was 8 weeks old from a breeder off of Facebook Marketplace. She’s currently around 2 to 2.5 years old. She is not spayed. She is very playful and needs a lot of attention and loving. Unfortunately due to lack of space at my current living situation and my brother just had his newborn, I am unable to keep her. I’m looking for a home that will be able to take care of her every need and spend lots of time with her! She used to be around my other dog, a german shepherd rottweiler mix, prior to moving into my current home. She is house trained, very rarely destroys anything in the house and if she does, it’s typically food related or trash with food remnants. She does need training, as she does whine a lot when outside alone (even with food and water) or when in the kennel for periods at a time.

Story
This is a courtesy post for one of our foster parents.
How beautiful is this boy? Obviously, no answer is needed because WOW.
This is Charlie. He’s 2 years old and weighs 80 pounds. He is an Australian Sheperd and Labrador Retriever mix. No wonder he’s such a beauty.
Charlie loves to play, go for walks, and run around. Oh yeah, he will also play ball until you're worn out because he NEVER gets tired of it. Truly, he’s happy with any activity.
Charlie has been well-socialized with other dogs and with people. Although he loves playing, he’s also a very loving boy and is happy to hang out with his humans. This sweet boy uses a doggie door like a pro. He’s up to date on his shots and neutered.
If you’d like to meet Charlie or have any questions about him, please contact Gayla at hodges.gayla@gmail.com, (602)689-1195. Gayla has been with M.A.I.N. for many, many years and is helping sweet Charlie find his perfect home.
Thank you all. Please share Charlie’s post for him.

Story
Our sweet boy Nugget is looking to adopt a family. This boy is chill and loving. He’s happy to hang out in your lap or on the sofa. Nugget is 12 pounds, about 3-year-old, and a Chihuahua. When Nugget was found, he’d been running around a neighborhood and extremely scared. Now he wants a family. Nuggets foster mom told us this: The Nugget is so good. Uses the doggie door for outside business and knows where his food bowl is placed. He’s comfortable enough to go outside by himself for a little sun and when the other dogs bark and jump through the doggie door to bark at anything, he’s right there with them. There you go, the description of a wonderful dog…our Nugget. If you’re interested in adopting Nugget, or have questions about him, please fill out our adoption application or email us at: medicalanimalsinneed@gmail.com.

Story
Courtesy post for one of our fosters who saved this girl. Meet Miss Karma. She is mellow and kicked back. Karma is 5 years old and is an American Pit Bull Terrier. She is looking for her perfect home. Karma enjoys hanging out with her humans and she is quite lovable. She’s seeking her own people to love her, and she will give it back to you tenfold. Well, food and treats make her happy too. She is very easy to please. Karma enjoys her naps and will simply chill for as long as you want to. Karma does well with male dogs but isn’t a fan of the girls. She would love to be an only dog so she can hog all the attention but she’s good with some friends too. If you’d like to meet Karma or have any questions about her, please contact Gayla at hodges.gayla@gmail.com, (602)689-1195. Gayla has been with M.A.I.N. for many, many years and is helping sweet Karma find her perfect home.
