Story
Meet Sunny – Tucson, AZ ☀️ 🐾5 years old | 47 lbs 🐾Deaf 🐾Spay scheduled 4/8 (available after recovery) 🐾Heartworm negative 🐾Up-to-date on vaccines + microchipped 🐾Housetrained, crate trained, and dog door efficient. 🐾Not Sign Language trained Sunny is a devoted, velcro-style girl who just wants to be near her person. If you’re looking for a constant companion, she’s your shadow — always checking in, always close by. A home willing to continue using hand signals and structured communication will help Sunny thrive. She has a calm, easygoing personality and isn’t interested in toys or rough play. Sunny prefers a peaceful environment where she can relax and spend time with her people. Sunny would do best as the only dog in the home. While she can tolerate other dogs, she doesn’t enjoy sharing her personal space and is happiest when she doesn’t have to navigate other dogs or compete for attention or resources. She’s been raised with kids and is very gentle and cooperative for daily care (including eye drops). If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion who will stick by your side through everything, Sunny is ready to be your girl.

Doc is a confident, independent boy who enjoys exploring his surroundings at his own pace. He is approachable, calm, and easy to lead, showing comfort and confidence in new environments. During assessments, Doc was observed happily curled up on a bed on his own, content to take time and explore without stress. While he is friendly and approachable, Doc tends to focus more on his environment than on constant human attention. Handling is simple, and he shows no signs of resource guarding. Physically, Doc is in great condition with no concerns noted. Doc has not yet been tested with small dogs, cats, or larger dogs, so slow introductions and further socialization are recommended to determine compatibility. Doc would thrive in a home that appreciates a calm, confident, and independent companion, someone who can give him space to explore and settle while offering affection and guidance when he seeks it.
