Story
Scruffy is a 1½-year-old Terrier mix and weighs 9.7 pounds. He came to M.A.I.N. when he had problems with his back legs and lack of control over peeing and pooping. Scruffy completed physical therapy and acupuncture treatments as well. Both treatments have helped him. His legs are much better. His bladder and bowel control have improved but aren’t perfect. He still has accidents but does give some warning when he needs to poop. Scruffy’s personality is wonderful and hilarious. He plays until he’s tired but will settle down when he needs to. He loves toys, especially squeaky ones and does well with other dogs. He’s been staying with M.A.I.N. Alum, Addie, and has done well. Scruffy also enjoys cuddling with his human and being around them. And of course, he is quite a fan of treats. Scruffy needs some training because, at times, he lacks manners. When it comes to his treats and food, Scruffy is possessive. Also, he has some insecurities. He isn’t sure about all cats. It’s not that he wants to hurt them, but he can’t always figure out how to play with them. So, he sometimes chooses to play by chasing them. He’s also insecure about men and children. Again, not that he’s vicious, he seems to be unsure about them. It’s possible that he’s never been around either. He is truly a wonderful boy. Scruffy has been neutered, microchipped, licensed with Maricopa County, and is up to date on vaccines. If you’re interested in adoption or have questions about sweet Scruffy please fill out our adoption application here: adoption application or email us at: medicalanimalsinneed@gmail.com.

Story
Molly turned 2 years old in March. She’s an absolute sweetheart. She is great with all aged children and adults. She has gotten along with other dogs and loves meeting new friends. She understands simple commands but I’m sure would love to learn more. She is full of energy but loves her naps. We hope to find her a loving home who can give her the attention and care we just can’t give her anymore. She’s not a barker unless she needs your attention to something. Molly has a beautiful soul and personality. She would be the perfect addition to any home.

Story
Very loving and fun dog. He needs a fenced in yard that he can run around and have fun. We are not able to give that to him here. We are moving to a condo and there is no yard for him. He loves children (we have 10 grandkids) and friendly to all adults. He is both a good house dog and exterior dog. He does not like other dogs. He has had no professional training. At Maricopa County Animal Control, where we adopted him from, they taught him to sit and shake when receiving treats. He will be a good family dog wit the right atmosphere. He is all up to dat on all shots. His seen at Westbrook Animal Hospital at 91st Avenue & Union Hills Drive. He has had surgery to remove three (3) dew claws (only had three). He loves to ride in a vehicle. He does not like being in a kennel so much. He sleeps next to or under our bed at nights on his own bed. He is left in the living room when we leave, but he is leashed so he can get to his bed, food and water.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello my name is Oscar!  I had a rough start to life. We know that momma was a brindle pit mix and I look nothing like her! In fact I look nothing like any of my siblings. Dad was just a one night stand. We were told that dad was a golden retriever that runs the streets in the neighborhood we got them from.  Oscar is a sweet boy who enjoys other dogs (big and small) and has been around cats. He enjoys playing with toys and hanging out on his dog bed.  If your interested in Oscar please fill out an application at bbshonor.rescuegroups.org Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 11, 2024, 12:03 am
