Story
DeeerrrrreeeekkkkkAre you a shepherd lover? Do you LOOOOVVVEEEE to play endless hours of fetch and enjoy canine companionship? Well meet the sweet boy Derek! This loyal canine is here to impress and melt you with his sweet face.Derek came to us through our local animal control after he was left unclaimed. From what we have gathered, this fella has been through a few homes in his years and just hasn't quite found the right fit. He is such a loving and fun boy, he just needs someone who can appreciate his quirks and energy and offer him all he craves. He's a big guy with a lot of personality! He does struggle with separation anxiety and can be quite vocal when he's lonely. Derek struggles with reactivity towards other animals, and is seeking a patient and understanding home to assure him during his upset moments, and help redirect him into a new way of life. He is seeking a home to use positive reinforcement training methods that is willing to guide him and continue his training to have more positive interactions. No cats or small pets for this guy, but hey, that's just more love for Derek! Apply below to learn more about Derek! Primary Color: Sable Weight: 35.6 Age: 4yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Meet Luke! This big excited fella is searching for an active home that will keep him busy and well loved, with LOTS of cuddles!Luke loves being with his people and would gladly spend his whole day by your side! He loves you sooo much, sometimes he wants to just hug you and is still learning how to keep all four on the floor. He adores his walks, and does really well paired with his harness and his tummy snacks to keep him motivated. He does lots of check in's, and is going to have such a fun training journey! He thrives with Positive Reinforcement, and is so motivated to learn and grow his skills. Someone who wants to test Luke and their skills will thrive with Luke!Luke has had a few positive interactions with other dogs, and does enjoy seeing them during his day. He is quite forward with them however and not all dogs are big fans of his energy! At this time, he should be the only animal in the home but would like to have play dates with other sociable doggos. Luke would love a home that will continue to work on his manners and training, which will be easy as he is very food motivated! He can be vocal when left alone sometimes, so he may not be well suited for an apartment. This lovable boy is ready to find a fur-ever home to show him what true love looks like, if you're interested send us an application! Story
Meet Little Mack! This handsome guy is looking for a home that can keep up with his energy and give him the attention he craves. Little Mack came to us after he went unclaimed at animal control, so unfortunately we do not know much about his past. He was quite thin, and has a ravenous appetite, so lots of slow feeders and puzzle toys for this guy! Little Mack wants to go go go, and having activities to keep his mind and body busy have been quite important for him. As much as he wants to be with his human, he does have a hard time controling his excitement and will benefit from a patient guardian who can use positive reinforcemnt training to guide him and help him learn all the basics. We have not directly introduced him to other dogs in the shelter, but he has had some nice interactions through the fence, so he may be okay with dog friends. Due to his bouncy energy, we would recommend he goes to a home without small kids.If you are interested in adopting Little Mack, please send in an application!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 22.5 Age: 0yrs 11mths 0wks

Story
Meet Daisy, a 1-year-old female Dachshund mix who's full got lots of energy. If you're looking for a dog who's full of life and always ready for an adventure, Daisy is your girl. She's playful, goofy, and loves to keep you on your toes with her zippy zoomies and boundless enthusiasm. While she may be a little crazy, she's also incredibly loving and loyal. She'll be by your side for cuddles after a good play session, and she's sure to bring a smile to your face with her quirky antics. Daisy is looking for a home that can match her high-energy vibe and give her the exercise and training she craves. She can be reactive towards other animals, so working with an animal kind trainer would be very beneficial. Daisy must be in a home where she is the only animal. If you've got the time and energy to keep up with this little girl, please fill out an application online.Meetings for Daisy will be by appointment only. Story
Meet Joe! Joe the big Gentle Giant was found as a stray pup in Salmon Arm. Sadly, nobody came to pick him up from the shelter, and we have no past history on him.We know lots about him now! Including:-loves frozen kongs and pupsicles-playing fetch and running around his yard-loves all people-going on walks and sniffing all the bushesAs for dogs, he is indifferent to them in his neighbors yards. He tends to mirror other dogs reactions. He will bark if barked at and be chill if the other dog is relaxed. He isn't a fan of cats so no feline brothers or sisters possible. Joe is a big lovable goof! If you feel you could give Joe all he deserves and more, please apply online with the instructions below!Joe #549486Please follow these steps if interested in adoption!1.
