Meet Aquarius ✨🐾Soft eyes, gentle soul, and just the right amount of pep in her step 💛Aquarius is a beautiful German Shepherd who might start off a little shy, but give her a moment (and maybe a walk together), and she'll show you just how loyal and lovely she really is. Once you're in, you're in -this girl bonds deeply with her people. She's a professional sniffer, taking in the world one scent at a time, and walks like a dream on leash. Whether it's a quiet stroll or a peaceful hike, Aquarius is happy just being by your side. She also knows how to slow things down - lounging in the grass, relaxing near her humans, and enjoying the calm moments just as much as the adventures.Aquarius has that classic Shepherd stance with slightly sloped back legs and it doesn't seem to hold her back at all, if anything it adds a little extra bounce to her step. She's looking for someone patient, kind, and ready for a deeply devoted best friend.✨ Ready to meet your match? Say hello to Kota! This guy is loving and goofy, and wants nothing more than to get all your attention and to be doted on. He's the most handsome, and sweetest guy you have ever seen, and when you first lay eyes on him, it will definitely be love at first sight! This big goofy guy loves his people and loves to snuggle, always leaning in and putting his body against you for pets and rubs. He will flop down on the ground to show you his belly for rubs, his big face and neck rolls and squishing back to make a hilarious face at you! He loves to throw his toys around in the air, and has a blast chasing them around. He loves getting outside and going for adventures, he will happily sniff his surroundings while taking in all the scents. He's also content to lounge around in the grass, soaking up the sun. Kota would do best as the only pet in the home, as he does have a prey drive and is selective with other dogs.If you're interested in Kota, send us an application! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 46.7 Age: 4yrs 5mths 0wks

Story
Chevy is ready to steal hearts and show off his winning personality! This sweet boy loves attention and loves to snuggle while enjoying pets. He is a big fan of toys and will happily hold them in his mouth, or bury them to keep them safe. Chevy has done well seeing other dogs while out on a walk, and with the other dogs here through the fence. He is a strong boy, and does sometimes pull while on-leash, so he could benefit from some positive reinforcement training to help him learn on-leash manners. His personality is happy-go-lucky and he will be content to either accompany you on an adventure, or cuddle up on the couch. Chevy does have food sensitivities and will need to be kept on a specific diet to keep his skin and coat in good condition. He gets very excited at meal times and is always eager for a treat! If Chevy has stolen your heart, send us an application! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 30.4 Age: 6yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Meet the ever-so handsome Diesel!Diesel is a nervous boy, and he takes a bit of time to warm up to new people. Once you've gained his trust, he loves nothing more than receiving snuggles and butt rubs. He enjoys playing with toys out in the yard, and walks very well on a leash. Diesel has previously chased small animals like chickens and rabbits, so he should not interact with them in his new home. Diesel came into care with his pal Duke who he has been with his whole life, and they would love to find a home together. Diesel definitely leans on Duke for confidence and reassurance, he lets Duke assess new things before approaching. They should be monitored when toys and food are involved, as Diesel has resource guarded in the past. Story
Meet the ever-so handsome Duke!Duke is the sweetest boy who is ready to accompany you on adventures and stick by your side. He's quite active, and loves to run around in the yard being goofy. He does tend to pull on leash, so he will need some assistance in learning leash manners. Other dogs don't seem to bother Duke, although he has been known to chase small animals such as rabbits and squirrels so he should not interact with them in his new home. Duke loves squeaky toys and will happily lay on his bed while chewing away on them. Duke did come into care with his pal Diesel and they would really love to find a home together. They were in the same home their whole loves and enjoy each other's company. If you're interested, send us an application! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Weight: 30.7 Age: 6yrs 10mths 0wks

Story
Meet the elegant Ellie! This sweet lady is such a playful and fun girl, with a little love and time, she will surely be your best friend! Ellie loves her people sooo much, she is so happy to be with you all day, and will gladly accompany you on all your tasks. She does feel great connections to those she loves, and has been struggling when left home alone and can get quite upset. Her ideal home would feature someone who can offer her a lot of time to work on this, by building her confidence being alone and redirecting her anxieties to other outlets with enrichment and training. She likely wouldn't do great being alone for a full work day, so someone who works from home would be her gold star home!Ellie tends to get quite excited when she sees someone she knows, and can be jumpy trying to get your attention and closer to you. She's been learning to keep four feet on the floor, and is extremely food motivated paired with positive reinforcement and consistency. Ellie really loves squeaky toys and will happily throw them around and chase after them, putting on a circus show! She likes to stick by your side like a shadow and would love to snuggle up on the couch with her new human.Ellie would do best as the only animal in the home, and is seeking someone who is keen on continuing her training to help her become her best self. Due to her prey drive and reactivity to other dogs, its in her best interest so she can get what she really needs from her guardian. She has been good with other dogs through the fence here at the shelter, but she is quite reactive to other dogs when on-leash. She is seeking an experienced dog owner, who can help her navigate her reactivity with positive reinforcement training and patience. If you're interested in this sweet girl, send us an application! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/  Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 36.4 Age: 2yrs 3mths 2wks
