Story
Rhubarb or Rhu for short is a small, fluffy girl with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. She's everything people love about the breed-expressive, clever, affectionate, and always ready to "chat" about her day. Her signature husky storytelling is one of her most endearing traits, and she'll happily keep you entertained with her opinions and commentary. She adores her people and wants nothing more than to be the center of someone's world. Rhubarb is looking for a home where she can be the queen of the household, soaking up all the love without having to share space with other animals. Her ideal family understands the busy, energetic nature of a husky and is excited to give her the mental and physical stimulation she thrives on. With the right mix of activity, enrichment, and companionship, she settles in beautifully for a peaceful night's sleep.A secure fenced yard is a must for this adventurous girl-she loves to explore, stretch her legs, and burn off her boundless energy safely. We do want to highlight the word "secure" as this girl is skilled at finding where she can break free to go say hi to the neighbours. Even though I'm sure everyone loves saying hello to this happy girl, it is important to ensure she is safe in a secure yard. If you feel Rhubarb may be a good fit for your home, please complete our online application and staff will contact you to discuss further if it is a good fit. Story
Meet Molly! Your Sun-Loving CompanionThis beautiful 5-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can truly shine. With her soulful eyes and gentle spirit, she has so much love to give once she feels safe and secure.Molly can be shy and nervous when meeting new people, especially men, so she will need an adopter who can go slow and give her the time she needs to build trust. Once she knows you, her sweet and loyal personality really comes through. She would do best as the only pet in the home-no other dogs or cats-as she prefers having her space and her people all to herself. Due to her strength, she'll need a confident handler who can continue to guide her with positive, consistent support.A securely fenced yard is important for her, not only for safety but because she enjoys spending time outdoors. She absolutely loves basking in the sunshine and would happily lounge in a warm spot watching the world go by. While she enjoys short walks, she isn't looking for a high-energy lifestyle-just calm, steady companionship.Molly is currently carrying a bit of extra weight, so she'll benefit from a home committed to helping her get back to a healthy size through proper diet and gentle exercise. If you're looking for a devoted companion and are willing to give a sensitive dog the patience and understanding she deserves, Molly could be the perfect match for you. Please follow these steps if interested in adoption!1. View the animal's profile at adopt.spca.bc.ca 2. Submit an application https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/3. Story
Zeus is a sweet, smart, and super cuddly pup with a big heart and even bigger personality! This handsome lil' guy loves to snuggle up at home just as much as he loves to run and play at the dog park. He’s gentle, friendly, and great with people, kids, and other dogs. Zeus is the perfect mix of calm and playful; happy to chill by your side, but always ready for an adventure venture when it’s time for fun. We’re not sure how he feels about cats yet, but he’s proven to be kind and easygoing in every other way. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will make you laugh and melt your heart, Zeus might just be your guy!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
From Zahara's Foster: Zahara is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever encountered. She gives you all the love she’s got and more. She’s sweet and cuddly and calm and great around kids. Zahara loves a good cuddle and she’ll let you just grab her close! She likes being spooned but also likes facing you, a little nose-to-nose action! Zahara loves going outside, but always make sure to have a leash attached, she was not on a leash in her early years and will run out the door! I'd also recommend a harness because she’s learning leash manners but not there yet. Zahara is small, but strong! We are working on her recall as well. Zahara will ensure you keep a tidy house because her early years as a street dog taught her that getting into garbage is fun! She will also rearrange your shoes for you!
