Story
Buddy is a wonderful boy . He's is two years old and is my heart . I am searching for a lovable family for him who can keep him safe and happy... As much as it hurts me to give him up, I have no choice as my permit got revoked and have to leave the country. And there is no chance I could take him with me. He shares a very special bond with my kids . It hurts but hopefully he finds a good family . Note: he needs training with reactivity for animals and people . I don't know how but he's good to everyone in the dog park but needs training outside . Hopefully he finds a match ... Routing for Buddy . Thanks

Viewable in Shelter: Yes, in dog kennels.Meet Titus!Titus is our resident shelter baby, and staff and volunteers have completely fallen in love with him and his adorable little quirks! As you can see in the photos, Titus has Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy, which has caused his front paws to look like little flippers. Our favourite thing about Titus is that he doesn't let this slow him down. He still loves to play, explore, and enjoy life just like any other puppy. We're currently working closely with vets and specialists to figure out the best plan moving forward for this little guy.Titus has had a tough start to life and didn't receive the care a young puppy should have. You'd never know it from his happy personality, though. He absolutely loves other dogs and has already made a few new doggy best friends who are helping teach him good manners and showing him the ropes. He's also a little fish who loves splashing around in the pool before crashing on his human friends' laps for a good belly rub.Titus hasn't yet had the chance to experience what a safe, loving home feels like, and we can't wait for him to have that fresh start. He has so much life and love ahead of him, and we're excited to watch him discover just how good life can be.Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Titus' person? Apply today!TIP: To aid our team in making the best match possible, applicants are encouraged to write a little bit about themselves when prompted.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting.Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only. He is wonderful on leash which makes walks a relaxing experience!***Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Raven's person? NOTE: Our dog team will ONLY be reaching out to individuals who have applied via the link below. To be considered, you MUST APPLY FIRST. We're thrilled so many people are interested, however our small team can't possibly follow-up with every inquiry. The best chance of getting a call back is to write about yourself when prompted and wait to hear back.Viewable in Shelter: Yes, in dog kennels.Meet Kokoro! Kokoro is 8 years old, but she has a surprising amount of energy. She loves going for walks, meeting people, and being around her humans. She also knows how to settle down and enjoy some quiet time.Kokoro recently had one of her eyes removed and has been doing really well through everything. She has been a very sweet girl and has handled all the changes like a champ.Kokoro would do best as the only animal in the home. She'd be happiest having her people to herself and getting all the attention. She's looking for a comfortable home where she can enjoy her walks, get lots of love, and just be a dog.***Thank you for your interest in adopting! Story
Viewable in Shelter: Yes, in dog kennels.***Meet Tasha!Tasha is an outgoing pup who loves to explore and engage with people. She is eager to learn and have fun! Tasha has persistent pupillary membranes in both eyes, this condition is not painful. She has some vision loss in her left eye, and her right eye will be removed as it has shrunken and has no vision. Despite this hurdle, Tasha is a bright puppy with so much potential. She will adapt very well to having one eye and will be able to live a full and happy life. With her curious personality and affectionate nature, she will make an excellent companion.***Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Tasha's person? Apply today!TIP: To aid our team in making the best match possible, applicants are encouraged to write a little bit about themselves when prompted.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm. Note that we receive a high volume of adoption inquiries each day, and may not be able to follow-up with every applicant. Note: As with all puppies, we recommend puppy-proofing your home and preparing for the commitment of training, exercise, and socialization. The more time and effort you put into training now will pay off tenfold when they grow into a giant slobbery member of your family. Remember, adoption is a big decision and lifetime commitment to the dog - these pups will grow into big, strong dogs and will need a family that's ready for the adventure! These pups are not yet spayed or neutered (S/N). Their appointments for S/N's will be in the coming weeks. In the meantime, they are eligible to go into homes as "foster-to-adopts," and can be fully adopted after their S/N. Story
Viewable in Shelter: No, in fosterMeet Kiya!Kiya is a one in a million dog. She came to us very overweight, with joint and leg issues. Even though she was in pain, she was still one of the happiest, most affectionate dogs we have met in a long time. She really is everyone's best friend. She is a little fish who loves to swim, which is perfect since she cannot walk as much as she would like right now while we figure out what is going on with her legs. Kiya has no sense of personal space and will happily follow you from room to room, always right by your side. This senior girl went without proper care for far too long and deserves to live the rest of her life pain free, surrounded by as much love as she gives to everyone around her.***Thank you for your interest in adopting!
