Story
Smokey the Bear! He is an energetic and affectionate dog. He is about 1 and a half years old, great with our 2 and a half year old, and plays with the cat frequently. We got Smokey as a puppy with the intention of having our daughter grow up with a dog and have a best friend. Since he has reached about his full size, he does his best to be gentle (he lives up to the gentle St. Bernard he just doesnt know how big he is) he is a bit overwhelming size-wise and is so loving he is easily overpowering without intending to be. Ive had to step down in hours at work to take care of our daughter, and with another one on the way we are increasingly concerned about the costs of keeping such a large dog, and think hed be much happier in a home with people who can handle his size, energy and have more time for him than we do. Its a hard decision for us and with love wed love to see him go to a loving home where he can be his silly giant self. We are located on the Olympic peninsula.

Story
Sky is a very energetic happy dog who loves playing fetch (both balls and Frisbee) all the time. We moved from 1.5 acre yard to a suburb neighborhood, and she is simply not getting her needs met as much as we try to wear her out. She would be best suited to a home that has ample space for her to run, a family who can devote the time needed to train her, and has patience with her quirks such as short lived, but crazy barking at delivery trucks. Sky is very curious and would need a fully fenced yard to keep her safe. She does well with other dogs, is very curious and mostly respectful about cats, and does well with older kids. Sky should not be unattended around chickens or other small animals like rabbits as she likes to chase them. She is talkative, playful and very sweet which is why we want her to get the home life she seems to need.

Story
Maizey is an amazing girl. She is sweet and loves to cuddle and be with her human. She is good in the house when I leave and always happy when I’m home. However she would do better in a home with no other pets…. She does not like cats and has jealousy towards other dogs, which is why I need to rehome her. I have had her almost two years and she chased off my cat and it’s a struggle getting her to allow my other dog space. I hate re-homing her but she needs someone that doesn’t have other pets.

Story
Henry is a lovely, long-legged Treeing Walker Coonhound born December 2020. He is affectionate and hasn't met a human he doesn't love. Henry would do well in a home with a securely fenced yard, active humans that will take him on adventures and get him exercise. He loves to put his hound nose to work on long walks, hikes, or just when exploring the yard. He’s pretty active when outside, but inside, he loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the couch with you. He’s great in the house. While he loves humans, Henry needs a home without cats or small pets as his prey drive is quite high. Henry is dog selective, and is not recommended for homes with other dogs. Is this breed a match for you? TWC's are wonderful companions, they require an energy outlet and benefit from training. Like all hounds, they are vocal. Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.wagsequimwa.com If you have any questions, please email: office@wagsequimwa.com. Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements. Story
Born in December 2019, this boy is full of love, and energy! Looking for an adventure buddy? This is your guy – he loves runs, walks and hikes in the mountains, on the beach, even just in his play yard. Franco is intelligent and a blast to train! He gets along great with other dogs and would do well in a home with a companion. He is an Olympic-level jumper, so a securely fenced yard is a must. Small children could be overwhelmed with his size and energy, older kids would be a great fit. A home without cats is best for Franco. Franco is a joy inside too. Binge your favorite show and get comfy with him! You will not be disappointed! Story
Born in June 2020, Dexter suffered a severe break in his leg and had to spend much of his youth on restricted activity so it would heal. He is fully healthy now, and his leg made a full recovery. Dex is great on leash, loves his walks, and bonds strongly with his humans. In typical GSD fashion, he likes to have something to do, so having a home with people who are around and will include him in adventures and outings is preferred. He is full of energy and has lots of love to give. Dexter has gone through great training, he is easy to walk on leash, he listens well, and enjoys learning new behaviors and games through training. He especially loves playing with his toys. His favorite playtime activities are fetch and tug and showing off his toys by playing on his own. Dexter benefits from longs walks and hikes where he can sniff and explore. Dexter’s favorite past time is chilling on his bed with a Kong or bully stick. A securely fenced yard, no kids or cats is required for Dexter’s home.
