Story
Robin is ~7yo. We love her so much, but we cannot keep her for health reasons. Robin loves to play & she is very social. She LOVES to go places - walks, car rides, going to the hardware store, going for a play date, you name it...she wants to be with you. She wants to see people/places/things/other dogs. She does not do other small animals (other than small dogs…those are fine) - so no bunnies, cats, turtles, etc. She is great with kids. She is as sweet as can be with kids. She has been trained. She is also crate trained and does not get on furniture. We love her, and we know you will too. She needs a forever home.

Story
Ares came into our home after a friend who owned him left abruptly. He is great with dogs. Great with cats. Leash trained. House trained. Good with basic commands like sit, wait, off, down, etc. He enjoys going on walks, spending time outside, playing tug, chasing the hose, and cuddling. We have been working with him for the past year and unfortunately we are just not the best fit for him. Despite my partner being very sweet with him he clearly does not like men and is reactive with kids. Ares needs to be in a home without men or children where he can feel safe and secure. He is a great dog. A good protector. I feel he would thrive with a single woman household or someone who has the time to work on his reactivity. He will come with his crate, a bag of food, treats, leash and harness. I just want him to go to a good home. He is up to date on shots. Please help us help ares find the right fit.

Story
Loki a 10-month-old black and red plush coat German Shepherd with a story to tell. Loki found his way to our rescue due to behavioral issues stemming from a lack of proper socialization during his crucial puppyhood. As a result, he's a very nervous and fearful dog, often preferring to avoid interactions with everything and everyone. Despite his initial shyness, Loki has a heart full of curiosity and a love for treats that could rival any dog's. Once he forms a bond with his new owner (which will take patience and time), he eagerly shows off all the commands he already knows. Why? Because he knows that's when the treats come out, and nothing makes him happier than a good game of ball in the yard. What Loki truly needs is a family who understands his fearful temperament and is willing to provide the guidance and support he needs to overcome his fears. He would thrive in a home with a confident and playful dog companion who can show him the ropes. However, a household with little kids may not be the best fit for Loki, as he tends to be afraid of them. During Loki's vetting and neuter surgery, we discovered that he has hip dysplasia in his right rear leg. This means he will require daily joint supplements to keep him comfortable, and there may be a hip surgery in his future. But for now, Loki is just a pup who enjoys running around and, occasionally, grabbing a shoe for a playful game. On the bright side, Loki is already crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is a perfect companion for car rides. With the right family who can give him the love, patience, and care he deserves, Loki has the potential to blossom into a confident and happy dog. If you think you could be the understanding and loving family Loki needs, please send in an application. His adoption fee is $300 To get the process started, please visit www.dbgsdrescue.org for adoption requirements and locations that we cover. If you see this posting, Loki is available and we are accepting applications.
