Story
Milo is an approximately 5 years old rescue cattle dog mix from the east coast. Due to the international relocation of his human to a situation which is not able to accommodate him, he is looking for a new home with patience and love. He is very well trained with an expansive panel of functional and just-for-fun tricks and underwent a significant degree of service training, but due to his insecurity in public did not make it to full-time work. As a nervous herding breed, Milo would not do well in a home with children or free-roaming small animals. Milo is selective about his fellow canine friends and previously showed mild resource guarding but was able to work through it while in a multidog house for a short period of time. Milo is looking for a home with someone who can provide him with daily enrichment and physical activity, and who will be patient with him as he adjusts to this large change and learns to trust and love them as he has with his human for the last several years.

Story
Jack is a senior dog, aged somewhere around 10-12 years old. He lived alone with his owner until his owner had a bad fall, and can no longer return home. Jack likes playing fetch, barking at squirrels, but mostly being in the same room as someone enjoying a snooze on whatever furniture he can get on. Likes back pets. Is a master at those dog puzzles that hide the treats in them. He's been a solitary dog for most of his life but is currently being fostered in a home with other dogs and thriving. He was adopted about a decade ago from a rescue, as a dog who had been neglected and abused at the start of his life. He’s had a lot of training to work through his trauma, but he is still a little timid at first before he quickly warms up… especially when treats are offered!

Story
Esha is a 9-year-old female pit mix available for adoption at CCHS! Esha has found her way to our facility a few times since she was a young dog, but came here most recently after being found running at large in Western Indiana. She's been around! Esha definitely does not "act" like a senior gal, as she has quite a bit of energy and spunk left in her. Come meet Esha at CCHS!

Story
Fergus is a 3-year-old male American bulldog mix who is available for adoption at CCHS! Fergus was returned to us because he was becoming a bit too overstimulated by other dogs and distractions in his new home. His relinquisher thought he needed a home where he can go outside and sniff without having to be alert, and that he may not be the best fit for overstimulating downtown living. He is a wiggly boy, gives kisses, he is laid-back and gentle, and very tolerant of handling. He is patient when it comes to walk time, and is easily redirected when it comes to distractions. Come meet this sweet boy at CCHS! Fergus is a STAFF FAVORITE pet! Here's what our Volunteer Coordinator, Sarah, has to say about him: “Look. At. This. Dog. Have you ever seen a dog this cute? Probably not, because I’m actually certain he is the cutest dog I have EVER seen. The ears. The jowls. Those big eyes. It all comes together to make one incredible little guy… my buddy Fergus! Some of his favorite activities include going to the park with our incredible volunteers, sniffin’ around, getting all the pets, and, of course, being the center of attention. This happy-go-lucky pup will make an incredible companion for the right person or family. His wiggles light up any room he enters and make it very clear that you are the center of his world, turning any regular day into the best day ever. He’s friendly, he’s fabulous, he’s Fergus.”
