Story
Jack is a senior dog, aged somewhere around 10-12 years old. He lived alone with his owner until his owner had a bad fall, and can no longer return home. Jack likes playing fetch, barking at squirrels, but mostly being in the same room as someone enjoying a snooze on whatever furniture he can get on. Likes back pets. Is a master at those dog puzzles that hide the treats in them. He's been a solitary dog for most of his life. He was adopted about a decade ago as a dog at a couple years of age from a rescue, and had a troubled upbringing before that rescue where he'd been chained outside for all hours of the day and beaten. As such, he is still a little timid and I think would be best in a quiet home with adults.

Story
Jack is a little over a year old. He is a wonderful dog, very loving and gentle. He made dog number 4 and is too much for me. He gets along with the other 3 dogs and is great with my grandchildren. He is very loyal and loves his humans. He sleeps all night and loves his dog bed.

Story
Shiva is a very loyal, very intelligent, beautiful, approximately 9 y.o. Australian Shepherd. She loves meeting human adults and is very curious about them. She is a neat and deliberate eater and enjoys her chow and snacks, but not food-guarding. She is healthy and up to date on her vet checks and vaccines. Her very favorite pastime is playing ball with her human. She can hardly get enough. Also, she is very good in the car, enjoying shotgun seat so that she can observe everything going around her. She is a very good walker, once she gets her playful energy spent, and she listens and minds well. She needs to be near her human, but is not clingy, although she can get a little "talky" when she wants a snack, potty break, or a game of fetch. She has lots of personality. Indeed, her only issue is her reactivity to other dogs, and though I've had no bad experiences, I would not trust her with young children who do not understand a dog's behavior.

Story
Fergus is a 3-year-old male American bulldog mix who is available for adoption at CCHS! Fergus was returned to us because he was becoming a bit too overstimulated by other dogs and distractions in his new home. His relinquisher thought he needed a home where he can go outside and sniff without having to be alert, and that he may not be the best fit for overstimulating downtown living. He is a wiggly boy, gives kisses, he is laid-back and gentle, and very tolerant of handling. He is patient when it comes to walk time, and is easily redirected when it comes to distractions. Come meet this sweet boy at CCHS!
