Story
Kind of a long story but I will shorten as best I can. I adopted this brother and sister (Blue and Rue) duo when I was in college from a teammate of mine. He was from Australia and had to move back due to a family emergency, so he didn't have time to fill out all the paperwork to take Blue and Rue home with him. I offered to take care of them until he saved up enough money to send them over. Unfortunately, too much time went by and with the strict rules Australia has in place for sending pets over, we were unable to send them over. However, Blue and Rue are very well trained, so taking care of them has been a breeze. They are very loyal, playful, and love walks. We actually take them out to the country to let them run freely and have never had to chase after them. They would be great farm dogs! The reason we are giving them up for adoption is my wife and I added another little one to our family. Sadly, this means Blue and Rue haven't been getting the attention they deserve.

Story
Hi, I am Rosie. I am (most likely) a young adult, female, pitbull terrier. I came to the shelter after finding myself all alone in unfamiliar territory in search of food, water, shelter and safety. Thankfully, I found that. My eyes tell a story that reveals I may have seen the worst and the best of this world. My story changes now. My shelter family has assured me they are going to do everything in their power to ensure I go home with a family who is going to love me, cherish me, and treat me with the utmost respect. I want to be treated like a queen. I have gorgeous black and white markings, and have a loving personality once I am warmed up. I love to be pet, praised and loved on. It does take me awhile to come out of my shell so my new family needs to be patient with me. My personality is still developing so more will come soon! I will be spayed when I am ready and I will soon be up to date on my age appropriate vaccines - bordetella, distemper and rabies. I will be tested for Heartworm, Erhlichlia, Lyme's and Anaplasma soon. I receive routine flea and tick preventatives, monthly as well as some well deserved pampering periodically: brushing, nail trims & ear cleaning. My ideal home includes an active home where I can go out, run and play with my family. I have not been around small kids at the shelter - I don't know how I would do. I have not been around cats so I do not know how I would do with them. I have not been with other dogs at the shelter - so this too remains to be unknown. I need a family that is caring, compassionate and loving. I want a family that is patient, willing to give me what I need: a warm bed, plenty of good food & clean water, and good ol' pets and love. I need a family who is consistent - and dedicated to train me, work with me, love and keep me for my entire life. My shelter family works tirelessly to ensure I and my friends go to the right family. If you feel that person is you, I'd love to meet you. Please submit an application if you'd like to be considered becoming my family!

Story
Hi! I am Nymeria, but also go by 'Nee-Mee'. I am an adult, female dog that is mix of Husky and Yellow Labrador. I have spent most of my life with one owner, in an apartment setting and I came to the shelter after my owner had to move out of state. My personality can be described as cuddly, affectionate, loyal and a people-pleaser. I enjoy playing with my toys and love to be by people. I adore hugs, kisses and pets. I am extremely loyal and I adore being by people. When I was a puppy, I was attacked by another dog and I got really hurt. This experience has shaped my relationship with other dogs. They are super scary to me and I am not sure if they are going to hurt me. I will bark a lot when I see a dog and I am trying to tell them to not approach. For this, I need to be the only dog in the home. I do love to go out on walks, play at the park and exercise my long legs. Despite being an older adult, I still have lots of energy and I love to play with toys, squeakers and various dog toys. I am not wild or crazy like a puppy but I am not sedentary like an older senior aged dog. I am 'just right' in the temperament and energy department. I am spayed, and I am up to date on my vaccines - bordetella, distemper and rabies. I have been Heartworm, Erhlichlia, Lyme's and Anaplasma tested and I am negative for all. I receive routine flea and tick preventatives, monthly as well as some well deserved pampering periodically: brushing, nail trims & ear cleaning. My ideal home includes an active home where I can still go out, run and play with my family. I have not been around small children. My shelter family says I likely would do ok with children but they need to understand and respect my boundaries. It is important that they respect me because I only want to love and care for my family and not get hurt. I have not been around cats so I do not know how I would do with them. I need a family that is caring, compassionate and loving. I want a family that is patient, willing to give me what I need: a warm bed, plenty of good food & clean water, and good ol' pets and love. Once I warm up, I enjoy being pet and loved on. It may take me some time to warm up - so it is important my new family is patient with me and allowing me to warm up in my own time. My shelter family works tirelessly to ensure I and my friends go to the right family. If you feel that person is you, I'd love to meet you. Please submit an application if you'd like to be considered becoming my family!
