He likes mostly wet dog food & to be brushed weekly & to be given monthly baths. His hair is really beautiful, silky, & soft. He likes to listen dog music & even falls asleep to it. Likes to be around people & kids, other small dogs, but is scared of cats. Over all great dog!!

I gotten jax when he was just a puppy about 8 months old from a farm by Mitchell south dakota. I have had jax every since, he's been a very good dog after getting his energy out he walks around, sits next to me outside and hasn't ever bitten anyone even kids. He has been around my friends kid (who's about 4 years old) never bit him just had knocked him down before aswell as a couple other friends kids and my sisters 1 year old. He likes to get on his hind legs alot but other than that he has been nothing but gentle and the sweetest dog ever after exercise

Story
Finn is 4 years old. He likes to go hiking, running, biking, swimming, and kayaking. He likes to play fetch and cuddle on the couch. He came to us 2 years ago. We don't know much about his early life. He is currently in treatment with a behavioralist and is taking medication for anxiety. This has helped with some of his issues but not with the inter-pet aggression. We will happily discuss needed management and issues that Finn has with any interested parties. He has been house trained in the past but began marking when he came to our house. He currently wears a belly band. We don't have children that live with us but have young grandchildren that regularly visit and Finn has done well playing with them.

Story
This guy is just the cutest! Lake is such a lover and a great age at 2.5years! He does great with other male dogs and is currently in a play group with another male dog. Lake has lived with a bunch of children but prefers that they are at least over toddler age so they can understand boundaries. He does fabulous with ages 4 and up. One of his favorite things is just cuddling up with you. He doesn't walk too bad on leash, pulls a bit but not terrible at all. He passed his cat test wonderfully! His adoption fee is $175 plus tax. Find us on Facebook to be updated on events and shelter news! All animals up for adoption at the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative (if age appropriate), up to date on vaccinations (a booster may be needed), given flea and tick preventative, given heartworm preventative, dewormed, and treated for anything necessary: such as dental cleanings, ear infections, etc. Please visit our website for prices and more information about our hours. No pre-applications are accepted, please come to the shelter with your family with no appointment needed. If you have another dog, we'd like an appointment to do a meet and greet with your other dog. We can cat test here at the shelter. If you have questions, please email or call us and we'll answer your questions the best we can. Potty training is not guaranteed nor implied. Story
**currently in a foster home, please ask us to meet with her! Lets just say that 1.5yr old Loyalty has her name for a reason! This beautiful girl will give you her heart and soul. She just wants to be with you, cuddle up with you and get snacks from you. She does know sit and shake. Loyalty is what people would call a "pocket pittie". She may be 49 pounds but she is 49 pounds of muscle. This little lady stands very short but is quite stout. She can be pretty dog picky so she would need to have a meet and greet with another dog to know if she's approve. She is currently in a play group with a larger male dog. She likes more submissive dogs. Loyalty has been around goats, chicken, peacocks and feral cats. She was cat tested and passed! Loyalty also met some children and seemed to really love being around them!Find us on Facebook to be updated on events and shelter news!
