I gotten jax when he was just a puppy about 8 months old from a farm by Mitchell south dakota. I have had jax every since, he's been a very good dog after getting his energy out he walks around, sits next to me outside and hasn't ever bitten anyone even kids. He has been around my friends kid (who's about 4 years old) never bit him just had knocked him down before aswell as a couple other friends kids and my sisters 1 year old. He likes to get on his hind legs alot but other than that he has been nothing but gentle and the sweetest dog ever after exercise

Story
This pretty young lady is 1yr old, 52# Ruby! Ruby is so much fun! She definitely will need an active lifestyle as she likes to go go go! The second you let her off of her leash she just wants to go play and zoom around! She generally does well with dogs but does best if they aren't dominant, she wants to be the big lady. Ruby will need a strong owner as she does tend to pull on leash, she's just too excited and needs to get to where she needs to get to ASAP! Stop on by to meet this beauty! Adoption fee is $175 plus tax. Find us on Facebook to be updated on events and shelter news! Story
Are you an active person looking for a running buddy, hiking partner, etc? Ziggy is your man! Ziggy is an energy filled German Shorthair Pointer/Weimaraner x boy who is 64#. Even with his energy he walks fabulously on leash! The second he feels a bit of the tug from him walking too far or from pulling on the leash he zooms back to you to walk next to you. He loves toys and treats and just running around the yard to play. He has been around children and other dogs but needs the dogs to be able to handle him as he can be a lot of dog. Ziggy's adoption fee is $175 plus tax. Find us on Facebook to be updated on events and shelter news! All animals up for adoption at the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative (if age appropriate), up to date on vaccinations (a booster may be needed), given flea and tick preventative, given heartworm preventative, dewormed, and treated for anything necessary: such as dental cleanings, ear infections, etc. Please visit our website for prices and more information about our hours. Story
Do you like surprises? Well this is the biggest surprise you can get. Our best guess for 1.5yr old Milo is that he is a heeler mix but truthfully who knows. He has the energy of a heeler and seems to have some herding type tendencies but otherwise we have no clue! He has been around dogs did well. He may act shy and introverted to begin with but boy oh boy when he warms up then its go go go! He does great with cats and children as well! Milo is 37# of fun! His adoption fee is $175 plus tax. Story
This guy is just the cutest! Lake is such a lover and a great age at 2.5years! He does great with other male dogs and is currently in a play group with another male pit mix. Lake has lived with a bunch of children but prefers that they are at least over toddler age so they can understand boundaries. He does fabulous with ages 4 and up. One of his favorite things is just cuddling up with you. He doesn't walk too bad on leash, pulls a bit but not terrible at all. He passed his cat test wonderfully! His adoption fee is $175 plus tax. Find us on Facebook to be updated on events and shelter news!
