Story
CROSSPOSTING for another rescue group Meet Mister! This is my new foster boy, Mister. I am fostering him for Tall Tails Rescue and Transport. He’s about 2 years old and when you look up “Velcro dog” in the dictionary, you see his picture. He’s a combination of sweet and silly. He gets along just fine with other little dogs and was uninterested in the cat. His favorite obsessions include: 1. Stealing foster moms shoes. Not chewing them, just moving them to a new location. 2. Scaling walls and jumping leaps and bounds to get to his human. (Again, not destructive, he just has a touch of the Single White Female gene. Obsess much?) 3. Chewing his bully stick. 4. Taste testing every single bowl of food, just a nibble. He’s making sure it’s safe to eat. Mister also appears to be housebroken. He has not peed or pooped or attempted to mark in my home. He is a chihuahua mixed with kangaroo. He would love someone to share EVERYTHING with. If you’re doin it, so is he! A smart boy with so much love to give. Currently in NY but can be adopted anywhere if you’re willing to drive for him. Email talltailstransport@yahoo.com for an application.

Story
6/9/22.... Meet Panda. Panda is in need of a quiet home that has a TON of love and patience. Panda's world was turned upside down, along with his two siblings (Baby Girl and Elvis) when their owner's could no longer keep them. Panda seems to be taking it the hardest and hasn't figured out what is going on. Panda has warmed up to his foster mom and follows her all over. He will let his foster dad pet him, but only when he is on his mom's lap. He is being fostered with his siblings and several other small dogs but Panda seems quiet afraid of some of them. If you look closely at his photo, you can see where his jaw is crooked. Apparently at some point in his young life,he was attacked by a larger dog. Panda will be brought up to date on vaccines, mircochipped, heartworm/lyme tested and the whole works. We will also inquire about his jaw and cherry eye. If interested in fostering and/or adopting Panda, please submit an application. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335

Story
9/15/23... Millie is doing much better and her skin issues seem to be under control now. She is on a special food which is inexpensive. Millie may be an older gal, but she is still full of energy and loves to play and hang out with other dogs. 12/19.... Millie is currently on hold until we can figure out her skin issues. Thank you for your patience. Meet beautiful Millie. Millie is a senior who enjoys shorter walks, daily naps in her favorite recliner. She also enjoys helping her foster mom with some gardening although she'd rather sit on the porch and supervise. She really loves women and seems leary of men who wear hats. She will bark when people come to the house. She will continue to bark until she gets the cue from her foster mom that it is ok. She is crate trained and housebroken. The perfect home for Millie would be someone who is home most of the day and can just let her relax and enjoy her senior years. She would also benefit from having another laid back dog in the home. We do not know how she would do with cats. If you are the perfect family for Miss Millie, please submit an application. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, spayed and also received a dental. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335

Story
1/27/23... Beautiful Hazel came to us after her time was up at dog control. No owner came forward to claim this lovely lady so we stepped up to take her in. We pulled at least (no exaggeration) 100 ticks off from this poor girl as she sat there and never made a sound. Hazel would probably do best as an only dog. We are still working with her with introducing her with other dogs... she doesn't seem to like the high energy that her fur foster siblings have. BUT she may do well with a very laid back dog. We lovingly refer to her as Hefty Hazel... at 58 lbs. she believes she is a lap dog. This girl has no sense of personal space! The only thing she loves more than cuddling/belly rubs, is treats. She also (which we are working on) is a chronic couch licker. Hazel needs someone who will be patient with her; she needs to get to know you and she will become your best friend. She is housebroken and also crate trained. Hazel is up to date on vaccines, has been dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. She was lyme positive and is being treated for that. She will be spayed as soon as possible and will be ready for her forever home. If interested in meeting this sweet gal, please submit an application. Once received our adoption coordinator will review and be in touch. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335

Story
6/26/23 UPDATE: Maizie was pending adoption, but due to unforseen circumstances she is now back in our care. Maizie is a very playful gal who needs a little work on her manners. She's a very smart girl and is catching on fast as her foster mom works with her. She would do great with a fenced in yard to run and romp in. Another playful dog would do a world of wonders for her. She is housebroken and crate trained also. ___________________ Meet beautiful Maizie.... this young girl was born on 1/5/23. She is a beautiful mixture of American Bulldog, Black & Tan Hound with a little Shepherd mixed in for good measure. Maizie is doing very well with housetraining. She will use a pee pad, but will only do #2 outside. She is super sweet and loves to give kisses and cuddle. Her hound nose is already in effect! She is your typical puppy who loves to play and wrestle around with her brother. PLEASE NOTE that Maizie will be a LARGE dog, weighing in at approx 20 lbs already! If interested in meeting Maizie or one of her siblings, please submit an application. ALL pets presently in the home MUST be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines, unless for medical reasons. Maizie will have age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped and will be spayed when of age. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335

Story
8/24/23.... UPDATE: Bear has been working with a trainer and has been making GREAT strides!!! Bear will need a family who will keep working with him, so that he can be the best dog he can be. Bear needs a slow and proper introduction to new people and new dogs as he is still unsure and fearful with these types of situations. If interested in Bear, we will gladly have you speak to the trainer that has been working with him. _____________________________________ UPDATE: Bear seems to be fearful of men and has now decided he isn't too keen on other dogs. A home with no other pets would be perfect for this boy. Someone who is willing to show him that the world is an ok place to be... someone who has time and patience. Handsome Bear.... this young man was born on 1/5/23. He is a beautiful mixture of American Bulldog, Black & Tan Hound with a little Shepherd mixed in for good measure. Bear is sweet and loves to cuddle. He has a playful personality, is attention seeking and is all boy; rough and tumble. He enjoys wrestling and playing with his sister. He likes to play outside and with his toys. He does great with pee pads and pottying outside. PLEASE NOTE that Bear will be a LARGE dog, weighing in at approx 20 lbs already! If interested in meeting Bear or one of his siblings, please submit an application. ALL pets presently in the home MUST be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines, unless for medical reasons. Bear will have age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped and will be neutered when of age. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335
