Ash is a 3-year-old, purebred, all black, short haired German Shepherd. We adopted her from Upstate German Shepherds. She is very high energy, loves playing fetch at all times and will quickly become your best friend if you have a frisbee. She is super smart and can learn anything very quickly. Ash does not get along with other animals and is very particular about people. She has gotten along with children in the past but would likely benefit from a home without children or with older children that will respect her boundaries.Ash would also benefit from more one on one training with a professional, but she does know the basic commands of sit, down, place, come and has quickly learned some other commands.Ash was crate trained, but gets high anxiety when in small, enclosed spaces and does much better when not crated.She is a very lovable dog who is beyond loyal to her owners. She is the very best dog we have ever had, but we are not able to continue to care for her.

Alfalfa has so many meanings. To horse people alfalfa is a rich and green leafy food :) To dog people, Alfalfa, means ME!!! I have not lead the most "leafy" life though. I was FINALLY saved from an extreme hoarding situation - I was waiting my whole life to leave that "life" behind!! And I am SO grateful to the ladies who have taken over a year to save 65 of the 87 dogs I lived with AND are still working to get more out! I am a shy when u first meet me, but don't let that de-suade you! I will warm up and you will be so so grateful that you gave me the time to open up to you and show you my steady and grateful side, I am more of a loner than a lot of hoarding dogs are, I actually would be fine with or without another dog or cat. I am slow to trust but once I trust you I am a quiet and loving companion :) Only on my terms. I have been through a lot and just need the most wonderful, patient, laid back and quiet family!! I know you are OUT THERE!! Look onto my chocolate dreamy eyes, and get that application in! I am waiting..... She listens well, knows commands, and truly wants to please her people. Ruby has already shown what an amazing dog she is by raising four puppies and doing a phenomenal job. She was a devoted, loving mom and has transitioned seamlessly into being a calm, affectionate companion. She loves people, does well with other dogs, and is a dream indoors. Ruby is fully house-trained, crate-trained (though she doesn’t need one), and has excellent house manners, no chewing or destructive behaviors. Outside, her playful Husky side shines. She loves to run, play, and show off her zoomies. Like most Huskies, Ruby thrives with regular exercise and mental stimulation. If bored, she may try to explore, so a secure yard and an active lifestyle are important. She has been around cats and will bark at them, but with time and guidance, this may improve. Ruby would do best with an adopter who understands the Husky breed and is ready to give her the activity, structure, and love she deserves.
