URGENT SITUATION! PLEASE MEET SAMI! Sami is a sweet senior at 9 years old. She is urgently looking for a long term foster family which may lead to an eventual adoption for the right family. Sami's life is up in the air & she needs a special family to give her a home until it gets figured out. Sami's mom has been living in a medical facility, hoping to one day be reunited with Sami, but that is looking like a very long way off, if ever. Because of this, Sami's needs are being financially taken care of by mom. Sami is true couch potato She does not like walks or spending too much time outdoors. She goes out to do her business & heads back inside to her couch. It is a MUST that Sami be allowed on the couch as this has always been her favorite spot. Sami also loves splashing in the kiddie pool. Please see how wonderful Sami is in the attached videos: https://youtu.be/tk82T1Be0Vc https://youtu.be/zRU3Ut2kpHo Sami loves people & is very affectionate. Sami must be the only animal. If you can offer sweet Sami a place to stay with a couch & lots of love, please email us asap at fanabalasanctuary@gmail.com. * INDOOR HOME ONLY.

Story
MEET SCRAPPY: Scrappy was found wandering in a local park and he is settling in well at his foster home. He gets excited when greeting someone he knows, but generally has a sweet, calm demeanor. He seems happiest when he can climb into the lap of a familiar person. He may be a bit shy at first, but he warms up quickly with a gentle approach and snacks! His foster family has a curious cat, and while they have not been formally introduced, he mostly ignores her and other small critters he has seen on his walks. He has not been around children or other dogs thus far. Scrappy is well crate-trained and is quickly learning not to pull when walking on a leash. He prefers not to venture too far from home-base on his walks, but that may change as he becomes more comfortable in a new home. Scrappy is up to date on all vaccines & vet care. He will be neutered before adoption. If you would like to make this sweet, loving, affectionate guy a permanent part of your family, please reach out to us asap at fanabalasanctuary@gmail.com for an application. Adoption fee applies. Scrappy is located in Rochester, New York, but can travel for the right family. * INDOOR HOME ONLY.

Bo is a very sweet, gentle boy. He gets along with kitties & doggies. Bo is a 5 year old special needs guy. Because of this, he would do best in a home without stairs or with limited stairs. Bo requires a special harness to help him, although he is able to get up & down ok, and walks, his gait can be wobbly. You must be dedicated to Bo receiving the necessary supplements & care he will need throughout his life. Bo loves kitties! He gets along with doggies, but would do best with laidback dogs who do not play rough. Bo had allergy tests. It was determined tat he is allergic to dust mites & bees. Bo is a snuggler & would very much like to sleep with his person, as he will look for you when you are out of sight. Bo loves sleeping on the couch as you can see in some of these adorable pictures. Story
🌟 Meet Shy Star – Your Gentle, Wiggly Shadow! 🌟 📍 Available for adoption at Ridge’s Rescue 🕒 Approx. 3 years old | ⚖️ 55 lbs | ✅ Potty trained | 🐶 Dog-friendly Shy Star greets each day with a happy stretch and a heart full of quiet joy. This sweet, 3-year-old girl is a champion sleeper who won’t wake you up before you’re ready—no early alarms from her, just a calm presence waiting for morning cuddles. She’s fully potty trained and has lovely house manners, making her an easy and respectful roommate. Star also gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy a friendly canine companion to help her continue building confidence. Star loves her walks, especially if there’s a chance to scout for bunnies or peek down driveways in search of a curious cat. She’s still mastering her leash manners, but her enthusiasm is all part of the fun. A true foodie at heart, she bravely tries new veggies with the excitement of a five-star chef discovering a new dish! While she may be a little shy around men at first, Star warms up with time, patience, and gentle encouragement. Once she’s comfortable, you’ll be greeted with a full-body wiggle, tail-wagging smile, and a joy that’s truly contagious. She’s beginning to discover the fun of zoomies and squeaky toys, and it’s a delight to watch her playful side blossom. Shy Star enjoys soaking up the sunshine in the yard, lounging on the driveway, or just being by your side in the house. She’s the perfect mix of outdoor explorer and loyal cuddle companion. Car rides? She’s in! Vet visits? A total champ, friendly and calm even during pokes and prods. And don't even get her started on Kong toys stuffed with peanut butter—her absolute favorite treat. Star is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to build confidence and feel safe. If you’re someone who values a deep bond, quiet companionship, and a dog who will adore you with her whole heart, Shy Star is ready to be your forever friend. ✨ Adopt Shy Star from Ridge’s Rescue – and let her bring a little more sparkle to your life. ✨

Story
🐶 Meet Duncan — The 5-Month-Old Wild Child With a Heart of Gold! 💙✨ Duncan is a spirited, goofy 5-month-old pup who brings boundless energy and joy everywhere he goes! 🎉🐾 He's a “wild child” in all the best ways — full of personality, curiosity, and a love for adventure. 🌟 This smart little guy knows his name, has really good recall, and is currently learning “sit.” 🧠👏 He’s also starting to develop additional obedience skills, and puppy classes are strongly recommended to help him continue building great manners and confidence. 📚🐕 Duncan loves to keep his brain busy — brain game toys, puzzles, and Benebones are some of his absolute favorite things! 🧩🦴😍 He currently does best in a plastic crate and can hold it for about 3.5 hours before needing a potty break. 🚽⏱️ At night, he’s a dream — sleeping straight through in his crate like a pro. 😴✅ Duncan LOVES other dogs 🐕‍🦺💞 and enjoys going to daycare, where he gets to burn off that puppy energy. Cats are still unknown 🐱❓ but with his food motivation and trainability, he has tons of potential. 🌈 He’s also learning how to meet new people politely — he may bark at first, but he's eager to learn and improve with guidance. 👋💬✨ Due to his boisterous puppy energy, older or dog-savvy kids are recommended to ensure safe, happy interactions. 👧🐶💛 With his high food drive, quick mind, and playful spirit, Duncan would thrive in a home committed to continued training, enrichment, and structure. 🏡💪🧠 He would be absolutely thrilled to have a doggie sibling to romp around and learn from! 🐶🤝🐶 💙🐾 If you’re interested in meeting Duncan, apply here: https://form.jotform.com/ridges.rescue/adoption-application

Story
Van is a loving and affectionate pup, ready for a forever family. He was born into foster care with his siblings. Their mom, Hazel, was rescued while heavily pregnant and a volunteer brought her inside just in time to have her babies. They are healthy and happy and momma is doing great too. These puppies are friendly and well-socialized, as they've lived inside with people their whole lives. They are good with other dogs. We don't know about cats yet, but we predict they would do just fine if they grow up with a cat. As of April they are 9 weeks old. We would love to talk to you more about them on the phone. Please send us an application and we'll give you a call! Here's the link: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Please copy/paste the above link into your browser ^ Our transport can take this pup to a town near you. (YES we also adopt to Canada! Please note: adoption fee is in US dollars.) There is NO transport fee, or any extra fees. All is included in the adoption fee. Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry!
