Dakoda has adorable ears that sit in the middle of her head, making her easy to spot in a crowd, and certainly among the dozens of other cute dogs that we have available for adoption here at Lollypop. Dakoda *was* an absolute hit in our dog playgroups, often found zooming around our play yards happily with her dog friends...but, she unfortunately fractured her femur ahead of her re-admission to Lollypop Farm, which is making playtime a bit of a challenge at this point, but she continues to be pro-social and friendly with dogs to the extent that she can be. Dakoda is a big fan of other dogs, but she does not want to share a home with feline friends. Like any puppy, lil' Dak would love to find a home that'll work on some basic manners with her. (That should be easy, though, since she'll truly do anything for a snack!) Especially with being a little "broken" in the back leg department, on top of being an adolescent little lady, enrichment and mental stimulation are vital to Dakoda's ability to thrive in her new home. Dakoda LOVES toys, puzzles, and sniffing...and cannot wait to do this in your home with you! Interested in this goofy-eared girl? Please come meet her! Don't let her leg injury deter you, please. Malone may be eight-or-so years old, but he has a lifetime of love left to give. Malone came to Lollypop Farm when his former family could no longer care for him. They report that he did well in a home with cats, but probably doesn’t want to share a home with other dogs. Everything that we have learned for ourselves about Malone since his intake has been wonderful: he walks politely on his leash, loves to sniff around, and gives sweet (and a little stinky) kisses. Maloney-Baloney as we have lovingly nicknamed him is a hit among staff members, we just can’t get enough of those ridiculous ears and soulful eyes. The calm during a Storm, it's Stormee! Stormee is a whipped cream enthusiast, which as been our main tool in winning over her trust and love. This big girl is a bit timid, which is understandable in a place like an animal shelter. Stormee is sweet and calm, but she is definitely looking for a patient family to give her a chance. Stormee lived with other dogs previously, though we are not yet sure how she feels about cats. Children in a new home would have to be committed to respecting boundaries and using inside voices, so that Stormee can adjust and feel safe. We are hoping to find this gorgeous, sleek-coated friend a place to land ASAP, whether it be with an adopter, or in a foster home. Mac A. Roni is a handsome 4-year-old Cane Corso/Mastiff mix with a strong presence and an equally strong potential to be an incredible companion in the right home. Because of his breed and needs, we are looking for a specific adopter to help set him up for long-term success. Mac A. Roni would do best with someone who has experience with Cane Corsos or other guardian breeds and understands the structure and consistency they require. He is looking for an adult-only home, though older teens may be considered if they have prior experience with similar breeds. He is also asking to be the only dog in the home. A quieter, low-traffic household, ideally outside of a busy city environment, will help him feel more comfortable, especially as he can be a bit uncertain out on walks. Mac A. Roni thrives with routine and clear expectations. He will need an adopter who recognizes that he will require ongoing management and potentially additional training to help him continue to grow into his best self. Mac A. Roni is a truly great dog with so much potential, but he is not the right fit for every home- and that’s okay. For the right person, he will be an incredibly rewarding companion.
