Story
You won't find a more handsome, intelligent or silly boy than Sidney. He is about 3.5 years old and weighs 84 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show some barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he shows absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system) He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney, email cox_ann@bellsouth.net for an application

Story
Billie Jean is honestly one of the sweetest dogs I've ever owned. She is SO loving, loves to cuddle and be loved on. She is about 7-8 years old but I swear she has energy like a puppy! She doesn't mind children at all or even cats! Billie Jean does struggle with unfamiliar dogs, often barking and trying to run up to them while on walks. But she has NEVER been physically aggressive towards them. She has never attacked any dogs or people in her life. She's really all bark because once she gets close to another dog outside, she just wants to play. She has lived with other dogs in the home, so she just needs some patience. She would be perfect for a family that is active and super affectionate! She suffers from dry skin that can become super itchy and irritated so baths and moisturizing is a must every other week. Honestly I don't want to give her away but I'm afraid with having a new baby around, I simply don't have the time to properly take care of and give her the life she truly deserve

If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified, and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, heartworm tested, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.
