Story
Blue is an adult neutered male who came to us as a stray, but you’d never guess as he’s one of the friendliest, most playful dogs around. With his bright eyes and wagging tail, Blue is always ready to make a new friend. He absolutely lights up when he’s around people and thrives on attention and interaction. Blue is full of energy and enthusiasm, making him a great match for someone who enjoys playtime, walks, and staying active. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a romp in the yard, or just chasing a squeaky toy, Blue is always ready for fun. He’s also got a softer side—he enjoys being close to his people and is more than happy to settle in for some snuggles after a good play session. This lovable guy is still getting the hang of routines and manners, but with his eagerness to please and friendly nature, he has all the potential to be a wonderful companion. Blue would do best in a home where he can get plenty of exercise, attention, and continued guidance as he settles into family life. If you’re looking for a joyful, loyal, and energetic dog to share your days with, Blue could be just the one you’ve been waiting for. Visit the shelter Monday – Saturday from 12pm-3pm to meet our adoptable dogs.

Story
Apollo is an 11-month-old Lab mix with big energy and even bigger potential. Still very much a puppy, Apollo is jumpy and mouthy at times, and he's looking for an experienced adopter who can help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. He’s smart, eager, and full of life—but he needs structure, guidance, and consistent training to help him succeed. Apollo thrives with people who understand high-energy pups, and he’ll benefit from an active home that can meet both his physical and mental needs. When it comes to other dogs, Apollo can be selective, so introductions will be handled on a case-by-case basis. He is not a candidate for homes with cats or young children, as his current behavior and energy level may be too overwhelming. Apollo is looking for a committed, dog-savvy person who’s ready to put in the time to help him blossom. With training, patience, and positive reinforcement, this energetic pup has the potential to be a loyal, loving companion. Dog meets are done on a walk-in basis Monday-Friday 12pm-3pm, or Saturdays by appointment only. Please call 518-885-4113 to schedule a Saturday appointment.

Jax is a handsome, bouncy Boxer mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This neutered male is full of fun-loving energy and thrives on being around people. He absolutely lives for attention and affection—whether he’s playing in the yard, going for a walk, or just soaking up belly rubs, Jax is happiest when he's with his humans. True to his breed, Jax is energetic, goofy, and loyal. He may do well with respectful kids and other dogs, especially those who can keep up with his playful spirit. He’d be a great fit for an active household that can give him the exercise, structure, and love he needs to thrive. Jax is more than just a fun pup—he's a devoted companion who just wants to be part of the family. If you're looking for a dog who will greet you with tail wags, keep you laughing, and be your shadow through life’s adventures, Jax might be the perfect match. Meet Chunk, a young, sweet, and friendly companion. At just over 1 yr old, Chunk's curious nature is always leading him on new adventures. He's got a goofy side that will keep you laughing, but don't be fooled, he's also quite the smart cookie. His playful and energetic spirit will keep you on your toes. Chunk is wonderful with children, making him a great addition to any family. While he does need some training, his intelligence suggests he'll be a fast learner. He's known to be selective with his dog friends, so introductions should be done on a case-by-case basis. Chunk is ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and lots of play. If you're looking for a loyal friend who will keep you active and entertained, Chunk is the perfect match. Give Chunk a chance to show you all the love he has to give. Story
Say hello to Steve—a big, goofy, lovable XL Bully puppy with energy to spare and a heart full of love! Steve is still figuring out the world around him, which means he’s a little jumpy, super wiggly, and totally hilarious. He’s the kind of pup who bounds into a room like he owns it, then trips over his own feet—and we absolutely love him for it. This handsome guy is full of potential but needs someone who’s ready to help him learn the ropes. Training is a must, but with his eagerness to please (and a few tasty treats), Steve will be your star student in no time. He’s super friendly and outgoing, but because of his size and puppy energy, he’s looking for an adult-only home where he can have the space and structure he needs. Steve may prefer to be your one-and-only pet, as he can be a bit much for other dogs right now. He’s best suited for an active, experienced owner who’s ready to laugh, train, and play their way through puppyhood with a big, bouncy best friend. If you're up for the challenge (and the cuddles), Steve is ready to steal your heart—and probably your couch too! Dog meets are done Mon-Sat 12pm-3pm.
