Story
Jack is a 2-3 year old neutered pure bred chocolate lab, he is DNA/Health tested, is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, ready to go! Jack is a special dog in many ways, he is incredibly smart and loyal. He is your typical lab goofy, food driven, loves water, pools, frisbees and tennis balls. He is food/toy driven and loves to please his people. Jack is fully potty and crate trained, walks well on leash, has a solid obedience training foundation, but he does need a firm/strong leader to enforce training. He has a moderate energy level and would need daily exercise and enrichment but he is also very content lounging around as long as his needs are met. He is even trained to walk on a treadmill for those cold/rainy days. He is good with female dogs but does not do well with all male dogs. However introductions are often successful if you are willing to make it work. Jack can be mouthy/jumpy when he is excited or board so older children or an adult only home would be best for him.

Story
Nova is approximately 8 months old and about 50 pounds. I adopted her from a puppy rescue in NY where she was transported to from the south at 4 months old. I do not have much history other than coming from the south, but in the time I’ve known her she is a sweet girl-loves to give kisses on your face, loves being around people, loves a good adventure and then sleeping under the blankets with you at night. Unfortunately, I have several cats in the home whom she chases constantly causing a lot of stress in the household. She is a very social dog, she LOVES other dogs—I have spoken with a trainer and she would really benefit from a household with a household with another dog. She engages in some boredom behaviors like destructive chewing and pacing, likely due to boredom. I just cannot provide her with the lifestyle she needs. She requires a home with: •An experienced adopter willing to train •fenced in yard •dog companion •no cats/small animals in the home

Story
Kane is a 7 year old pitbull bulldog mix he is a very sweet boy but sadly suffers from seizures. He has some permanent damage to his eye sight and at night has accidents because he still has small seizures while he sleeps. Unfortunately because of his eye sight he scares very easily and is uneasy on his feet. He will need a quiet patient home with no small children. I wish we didn't have to rehome him but w several small kids 1 being autistic the noises and quick movements scare him and he gets very defensive growling and barring his teeth because he can't see them. Our home is no longer what is best for him and we want him to have a happy quiet life

Story
Hello! My name is Odin! I am a sweet gentle giant looking for a place to live out my golden years. If you come visit the Berkshire Humane Society I am always waiting at the front desk to greet you with a smile and tail wags. I am currently weighing in at 125 pounds, but desperately need to lose weight. I have a condition called hypothyroidism which has contributed to my weight gain. I am on a special medication which along with exercise should help with my weight loss journey. I will need to do short frequent walks throughout the day and would potentially also benefit from swim therapy. I could live with a cat, respectful kids, and a doggie friend who just wants a buddy to hang out with, I'm not much into playing these days. I am fully housetrained and walk beautifully on leash. If you think that I could be a good fit for you and your family, please call the kennel staff at (413) 447-7878 ext.126 or swing by the shelter to speak with kennel staff and meet me!Weight: 125
