Story
Energetic? Check! Fun-loving? Check! Playful? Check! Available for adoption? Check check and check! Meet Georgie! This ball of energy is hoping she can find the real deal- someone to love her forever! At just about 3 yrs old, Georgie is still just a big puppy. While she knows sit, stay, and shake, Georgie is looking for someone who can teach her even more! Here at the shelter she has even learned down, wait, come, and how to ring a dinner bell! But don't worry, she only does it on command so she won't be dinging away every time she is hungry ;) While she has never lived with other dogs, Georgie has had play dates before and has done really well. She just needs a playmate that can match her energy level. She doesn't, however, like cats. Except to chase! Then she loves them. But for her safety and the kitty's, no cats for Miss Georgie. Because of her energy, young kids aren't going to be ideal for her either. She would rather have adults around to play with. Georgie is a soccer star in the making. She loves to play with any ball, but soccer balls are her favorite! She will nudge them, pounce on them, and carry them around in her mouth! What a silly gal she is. Georgie does well in the car and is looking for an active and energetic home that can keep her active and engaged! If she caught your eye, give us a call at 518-885-4113 to schedule a meet!

Story
Meet our handsome friend, Diesel! Diesel is looking for someone special to love him for who he is and welcome them into their home! Diesel is a sweet boy with a friendly and outgoing personality. He loves to fetch, and loves to play keep away with his toys but will readily drop the toy if you have some string cheese or a tasty treat to trade him for! His wiggle butt and waggy tail are sure to brighten anyone's day, and that beautiful big smile is infectious as can be- you can't help but smile and laugh when Diesel is around! Diesel was surrendered to us with the right side of his face being very droopy and numb. This is a condition called Facial Nerve Paralysis and can be caused by a number of things. Sometimes the paralysis resolves on its own, and sometimes it stays numb forever. Bloodwork showed that he has hypothyroidism, which can cause nerve issues, so he has been started on a medication to treat this. For now, Diesel is a happy guy and his facial numbness does not slow him down in any way. Diesel would thrive in an active home because he has energy galore! But don't let that fool you, at the end of the day he is happy to snuggle on the couch. While a home without other animals may be ideal for now, we do think older kids may be okay for him. Did Diesel win you over? Give us a call to schedule a meet! 518-885-4113

Story
Meet Amelia! Amelia is a 2 1/2 yr old Pitty Mix looking for that pawfect home. Amelia's ideal home is an experienced owner with a fenced in backyard. She is quite shy at first, and is sensitive to change in her environment or routine. While she is energetic and playful when comfortable, it is important that any interested adopter understands that it will take her multiple meets before she is willing to show you her true personality! Once Amelia is comfortable with you she will happily run circles around you, show off her skills, share your cheese sticks, and lay on your lap! It may take her a bit to really become comfortable with you, but believe us when we say she is worth the wait! An adults only home, or a home without young kids, is ideal for Amelia. A home without other animals is ideal as well. Submit an application to animalshelter@saratogacountyny.gov with Amelia's name on it!

Story
Meet King! This handsome young adult is ready for a new fun and active home to call his own. King is such a goofy boy- always running around and playing with everything he can get his little paws on! He is a little energizer bunny and constantly on the move, so an active and energetic home would be best for him. King would love an experienced owner willing to dedicate time to training. He is a smart boy but does get a bit overwhelmed, and when he has had enough he will let you know! He did come in with another dog but at this time we think a home without other animals may be ideal for him. Older kids may be okay but no young kids please! King is a fun and active boy that can't wait to find his forever. He would make a great running or hiking buddy, but is always down for all sorts of adventures! Let's get this cute boy into a home. Story
Hey all! Sir Duke here. I am a 7 yr old pup looking for my furever family! I am a fun loving boy looking for a fun loving person! My friends said I should tell you a bit about myself so here it goes- - I love carrying around tennis balls! Playing with them is cool too but when on walks I like to chew on one. - Speaking of walks...well, I am still learning leash manners. It would be best if someone strong fell in love with me! - I can be a bit of an anxious boy at times so I may need help in that department. - I am royalty (my name is Sir Duke after all) but that doesn't mean I don't get along with other furry friends! A doggy sibling is a potential. As for cats? Unknown how I'd do. - I am a big energetic goofball that doesn't really know my own size and strength, so while older kids may be okay for me, I may be a bit too much for young kids. - Soft treats are a favorite of mine! But really I am a bit of a foodie so any cookie will do. - I love to play and have fun! So there you have it! Some basic facts about me. If you fell in love, give my friends a call at 518-885-4113 to schedule a meet.

Story
*MUST BE ADOPTED WITH CHEROKEE* Are you looking for two sweet senior pups to take over your heart and home? Well, look no further! Meet Isabella and Cherokee. These two ladies would love to find that pawfect retirement home. Isabella is a 10 yr old Pitty Mix with a gorgeous brown brindle coat. She is social and outgoing, and will bounce and pounce when cookies are involved! She may be a bit on the older side, but don't let her age fool you. She has plenty of energy and loves to go for long walks. But at the end of the day she will be happy to curl up on the couch and snuggle with her BFF and her person. Cherokee is a 12 yr old gorgeous gray Pitty Mix with a knack for singing! She loves the sound of her own voice and isn't afraid to tell you what she thinks! She is a bouncy and playful gal, but can be a bit shy at first when meeting new people. She definitely looked to Bella for confidence and guidance. At this time, a home without kids or other animals may be ideal for these two. They deserve to kick back and relax in a retirement home! Can you provide that for them?! Give us a call to schedule a meet. 518-885-4113
