Story
Cowboy (or `Cow`, as his friends call him) is truly one of the sweetest souls you`ll ever meet. He has a gentle heart and a calm presence that makes you feel loved just by being near him. He`s incredibly loyal - the kind of dog who chooses his person and loves them with his whole heart. Cow loves curling up on the couch between foster mom and dad, watching movies, enjoying a few squeaky toys and trotting happily around the yard. He enjoys simple joys: short walks, chasing falling leaves, and just being close to the people he cares about. He is patiently waiting for his best friend - someone who wants a loving companion by their side. If you`re looking for a loyal, snuggly, tender-hearted pup to share your life with Cowboy is ready to fill that role with all the love he has to give. Please call the APF to schedule a time to meet with Cowboy as he is currently in foster. 518.374.3944

Story
Hey there all, I’m Boomerang! I’m a 3 year old, super handsome guy with eye catching merle coloring and energy to spare! I love being outside, exploring, and staying active. I know how to sit, down, paw, but I’d love to keep learning with someone who’ll help me master my manners. I’m a smart boy and eager to please! I prefer a household that has older kiddos. I might need a little time to settle into a new home, but once I do, I’ll be your loyal, playful companion for life. Please come meet me to see if we`re a paw-some match at APF between 12-4:15, Tuesday-Saturday!!!

Story
Whats up friend! The name is Scout, I am a 1.5-year-old Collie mix who embodies the epitome of fun, energy, and loyalty. I`m a boy with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I`m looking for a home where I can burn off this boundless energy and be your best buddy for life. My ideal family is one that loves outdoor adventures.. whether it’s hiking, running, or playing fetch, no matter what i`m always up for it. I`m a smart boy who loves to learn, and while I could definitely benefit from some training, I am a eager-to-please pup who will thrive with a little guidance. With consistency and positive reinforcement, I`ll quickly become the well-mannered companion you’ve been searching for. I am also incredibly affectionate and loyal, I`ll happily curl up by your side after a long walk and is always ready to shower you with love. If you’re looking for a playful and loving dog who will be your adventure buddy and companion for years to come, I might just be the perfect match. Come meet me at the APF Tues-Sat between 12PM-4:30PM! I`ll see you there!

Story
My name`s Shenzee--named after the beloved hyena from The Lion King because I`ve kind of got hyena ears. All the better to hear you with! I`ve had my fair share of time here at the shelter and I`m more than ready to take on the next adventure. I. Am. Booorrreeeddd. Don`t get me wrong, these APF guys are trying their best, but what I really need is a active home where I can really work and be challenged! I`ve got little to no sense of self-preservation so wherever you go, I`ll follow! A mountain hike, a dog-friendly grocery store, a park, a car, the pool, the beach, a boat (I absolutely love the water), probably even the pits of Hell because I`ll be your ride-or-die rest assured. My friends here at the shelter think I may be mixed with Belgian Malinoise which attests to my energy level, high-intelligence, and confidence. After getting out my energy, I love to relax with a good hearty chew-safe bone to wind down next to my favorite people. If you`re not a wuss and a smart enough human to match me, please break me out-- I mean adopt me--right here at the APF!

Story
Hey hey hey folks, Papa Man in the house! I`ve been a wandering gentle soul for a bit as I came to the APF as a stray but now I`m ready for my next and final home--I`m not getting any younger but I`ve still got plenty of vigor and spunk in me. I love to goof around and I`m a big ol mush that really loves booty scratches, chin rubs, and snacks. Especially the snacks so even if I get into that sandwich you left on the countertop, who could resist these puppy eyes? I`m smart, eager to please, and have a big heart with a lot of love to give. It also helps that I`m neutered, potty trained, overall mellow, and of course am not too old to learn new tricks.

Story
Luna and Mocha are a bonded pair of senior pitbulls. Mocha is a tan colored pit bull mix and is around 14 years old. Luna is a brindle pit bull and is around 12 years old. They are both medium/large dogs. They are very sweet and playful but also love to be couch potatoes. They love to snuggle, play and eat treats. They have done well with other dogs in the past but have not been around cats or children. They deserve a loving home and they deserve to have more attention and socialization than they are getting currently. I think they would be best rehome together as they have been together since they were puppies.
