Mandy was in a crowded kill shelter with her 10 puppies when we rescued them all. All her pups have found homes but Mandy is still looking for her forever home. Mandy is a sweet girl that really wants a home of her own. She's great with other dogs but not with cats. Mandy likes to play with other dogs and is a snuggler. She's the youngest dog we have at our house and is bored with all her senior friends! She's really wants a playmate and a home to call her own. Mandy is crate trained, housebroken and fully vetted. Shiloh was rescued from a local shelter. She was extremely shy when we pulled her from the shelter and still can be shy when meeting new people or doing new things. She is most comfortable when she knows her surroundings. She is good with calmer, quieter kids and other dogs. She does not tolerate cats. Shiloh loves to cuddle and she's a great kisser! She will do best in a quiet structured environment. Since she doesn't like change, she never has tried to run away! A great dog for someone that works at home and is a couch potato! My name is Honey and I am as sweet as my namesake. I do great with cats, kids and dogs and I am housebroken. I weigh just 30 pounds so I am the perfect size and walk great on a leash. I am affectionate and even give kisses. I love to follow you around and be your shadow. I am super friendly with strangers and anyone I meet. I am an absolute doll! I have some crooked front teeth, but it just makes me more adorable. I can be playful at times, but then I crash on the floor and fall asleep. I sleep all night long next to you. I am spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, have been treated for heartworms and come with a supply of heartworm and flea prevention, a leash, martingale collar and walking harness. "There is a gentleness in her eyes that I see. I hate to see healthy, non-aggressive animals euthanized". That was the email we received about weeks ago in regards to Eleanor. She was on her last day and no other rescue had stepped up to take her. We were really her last chance. 1 week later, and here she is with us. We named her after the finest car in "Gone in 60 Seconds". And, truly, if she got off her leash, she would be gone in about 0.6 seconds! Eleanor is painfully shy and scared but lets us love on her and doesn't try to get away. She does well in a crate. She needs work..lots of it, but in her eyes, we see hope too. She is not currently for adoption but can be sent to an experienced foster home. Reach out to us via email if you are interested in fostering Eleanor. She is a diamond in the rough.

Rooley was very sick when we first rescued her. She has come a long way! Rooley is a great dog with lots of energy. The boxer in her really comes out when she is playing with other dogs and she "boxes" them with her paws! Rooley loves lots of attention but is also very independent. She loves to go for car rides. She also enjoys long walks. She is good with dogs and kids but not cats. Story

I need to re-home my treeing walker hound, Mazie. We live on a small piece of property in Kure Beach and she needs a lot more room. Since adopting her, she has constantly escaped, despite our continued efforts. It isn't her fault, she just needs a lot more land than we have. She came to us 3.5 years ago when she was found in Columbus County, skinny and heartworm positive. We and the people who found her, treated her for heartworm and she is currently up to date on her vaccinations. She has been spayed, micro chipped and her approximate age is 6 years. She has a very sweet temperament, we have never seen her mad or aggressive. If we have to fuss at her about something, she stops and quickly gets over it. She gets along with other dogs, but will not really play with them. She does play with our other two dogs, so perhaps she has to be bonded with the other dogs. As for cats and small children, she doesn't seem to care, one way or another.
