Maple Adoption Form Female (spayed) Breed: Egyptian Baladi Born: May 23, 2022 Size: Medium Energy: High Location: Milton, ON Maple is not your typical dog – she was rescued from Egypt where she lived as a street dog. She's clearly a bed dog now! Maple is a jumping enthusiast with a talent for collecting things and a love for beds. Whether she's bouncing for joy or playing with other pets, Maple brings endless energy and happiness. She's a little diva with a penchant for hiding treasures at the top of the stairs. When not cozying up with the cats, she’s happily engaged in play, whether it’s with feline friends or fellow canines. Life is grand, but Maple believes it could be even better with someone like you. If you're ready for a playful and energetic companion, Maple might just be the perfect fit. Maple's adoption fee is $700. She is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines: Please contact us for further details or fill out the adoption form at: https://form.jotform.com/221626931360250

7 month old female In foster care since: June 13, 2024 Good with: dogs, children, tentative with cats Fostered in London, Ontario Adoption fee: 700 Meet Violet! A gorgeous blue eyed husky mix who came to us from Save A Dog Network Canada in Northern Manitoba with her sisters (who are with another rescue). Her looks alone could melt your heart and make you fall in love, but her personality will be what really pulls you in! Violet is a bundle of energy who will make a perfect companion for any adventure, even if it’s just a walk around the block. She has been practicing her leash training with her foster mom and is excelling. Violet is already mastering basic commands such as sit, especially when it’s time to eat. When it comes to mealtime, she prefers to have her food all to herself, and if her furry friends try to sneak a bite, she will let them know. She is making great strides with her potty training and with consistency and a patient family, she will be a pro in no time! Violet thrives around her furry foster siblings. Regardless of their size, she makes friends with everyone! She has shown some interest in chasing cats when she seems them outdoors, but since she is still a puppy, she can likely learn to live with a cat. Violet’s favourite pastime is playing with her doggy foster siblings, playing soccer with her foster mom in the backyard, and chewing on her chew toys - especially a tasty bone! Violet absolutely loves the people who care for her, and she will quickly become a little shadow that likes to be by your side all the time. She is starting to run with her foster mom on her workouts and really enjoying herself, so she would make a great companion for an active lifestyle. She would love somebody who she can snuggle up with at night after a day of play and exercise. Crate time isn’t Violet’s favourite, but with some positive crate training, she will be able to nestle in and feel safe in her crate soon. Violet is a bundle of both energy and affection. She is a loyal, playful, and loving companion who will add joy and happiness into the lives of the family she joins. She has traveled to Ontario for her chance to find her people and live a full and amazing life. She has touched many hearts at BSDRO in her short time with us, but she is ready to connect with the people she is going to spend the rest of her life with. Violet is spayed, dewormed, up to date on relevant vaccinations, and will be microchipped prior to adoption.

Story
Woah! Where am I?! Am I really here looking to find my forever family?! It was just last month that they were telling me I only had a few hours left before they put me to sleep, and now I'm ready to find my own family?! Wow! Things sure can change quickly around here! My name is Winter and you've probably seen my face around here a few times recently! I'm the extra special boy who spent 10 days in board and train at Doggy Discovery Zone and oh my gosh did I ever have fun! And I learned so many new things! Some of those things are: Implied sit Off leash field recall Down Stay Leave it Leash walking Potty training How to get bathed without being scared Kenneling willingly Kenneling overnight without crying Putting my harness on nicely and waiting to go for my walk Jogging with my human off leash within 30' Playing nice with other dogs Not jumping And more!! I'm about 1 year old with what foster mom says are the most beautiful blue eyes, and I'm some sort of husky mix. I have a beautiful white coat that I love to get extra dirty (that's why I had to learn how to take baths!). I'm about 47 pounds and I think I'm done growing, but I could surprise you with a few more pounds now that I'm getting proper meals and exercise! I like to chew (I'm still a baby!) so during my training I learned lots of good redirection, so if you give me my designated chew toys, I'll move on to those. But I should definitely be crated when you're leaving me alone so that I don't eat anything not meant for dogs! I used to bounce around a lot and knock kids down, but after my training, I've returned to a foster home with small children and all has gone well! I live with other big dogs with no issues, and have even met small dogs. There are lots of cats here and I'm usually pretty good with them, but sometimes I'll chase them up the stairs if they seem like they want to play. At the end of the day, I really just want somebody to play with me and somebody to cuddle up on the couch with. Somebody to love me. I'm ready to start the next chapter of my life! ✳️An adoption fee of seven hundred applies to Winter. He is neutered, dewormed, up to date on vaccines, and as a bonus comes with an easy walk harness courtesy of Doggy Discovery Zone, as well as a one on one lesson with Mika at DDZ who trained Winter for 10 days, to help you get to know each other! Story
Meet Jenni! A 1 year old Egyptian Baladi who made her way into the care of BSDRO after a journey spanning nearly 10 000 kilometres. Jenni was found in a garbage pile, beaten, and battered at the base of the Great Pyramids of Giza. She was saved by a kind human who couldn’t bare the thought of leaving her behind, and brought her safely home to Canada, where she eventually made it into our care. Jenni is an extremely athletic dog who is looking for an equally athletic family or person to match her energy. Somebody who works from home would be a fantastic fit for Jenni, as she craves attention and stimulation, and loves to be around her people as much as possible. Jenni loves to go go go! She is always ready for an adventure. She would do best in a home with a large, fenced in yard, where she is safe to run and play with her people, and a doggy friend who can match her energy would be a big bonus! At night time Jenni will cuddle up with her people on the couch or in bed, looking for as much love and pets as she can get her paws on. The first couple of days in a new home Jenni will be anxious and need time to decompress. Somebody who understands that this is very temporary will be met about 1-2 days later with an extremely happy and loving dog who is excited to give hugs, kisses, and play. While Jenni had a history of being fearful of men, in her foster home Jenni has grown a loving attachment to her foster dad (and her temporary foster dad while her regular foster dad was on vacation!) and shows no fear of men after the first day or two. That being said, Jenni should have a female in the home to help boost her confidence. Jenni is leash trained, crate trained, potty trained, and quickly picks up on new tricks, eager to please (and earn some yummy treats!). She has been fostered with multiple cats, dogs, and children and done wonderful with every person and every creature she’s met. Baladi’s are a special breed of dog, and a potential adopter unfamiliar with the breed should research their traits and temperaments before applying to adopt. Baladi dogs must learn from a young age to fend for themselves, so they often first appear to be stand-offish, but this fades quickly. In our experience, they do best with another dog in the home, but are also known to play rough so another dog in the home should be able to handle this type of play. Because of their street-savviness, they are more often than not quite fearful and skeptical of new people, but once they trust you, you will not regret your decision to adopt a Baladi. They are highly intelligent, athletic, and extremely loyal dogs who learn quickly and make a great addition to a family environment. Jenni is spayed, up to date on relevant vaccines, and microchipped.

Story
Luna is a nearly 4 year old Egyptian Baladi who we rescued in late 2021 with her mom and siblings. She has found herself back in our care and we need a placement for her as soon as possible. Luna needs a home with either no other dogs, or only male dogs. She is not good with female dogs. She is also leery of (human) men, as she has only been minimally exposed to them - she spent the first year of her life with only women and was fostered by only women for the next 2 years. A home with a male is okay but she will need some time and space to decompress and gather her confidence. Egyptian Baladis are very sweet and loving dogs. They take some time to open up and trust, but once they do, they are loyal companions. They are very quick learners and have no issues adapting to new situations and surroundings. Baladi’s are said to be mixes of the ancient sighthounds and are very fast. They love to run and chase balls and toys around. While Luna may look like a “plain Jane” in her photos, she is strikingly beautiful. Luna is currently at a temp foster home until mid December, but is able to be moved to a different area for the right foster home.

Story
Hey there! My full bio isn't quite ready yet, but here's what my foster momma has to say about me: Hank is a very good boy, a gentle giant. He takes treats like a gentleman, doesn’t require a crate at night- completely house trained 👍🏼 he’s good with other dogs- takes his cues from them and even when playing he is still pretty gentle. He is still working on cats but he understands when he is told no- a dog savvy cat/kitten I’m sure he would get along with, with proper introduction/training. He loves the kids, and is good with the small ones as well. He greets me every morning with the bum wiggles and loves to curl up for a snooze/pet while drinking my morning coffee. He’s a very lovely dog 💙
