Story

Ranger is vocal and loves to tell you about his day and then tell you again! He loves to be pet and looks at a gate as a challenge, not a barrier. He can be stubborn and defiant, so a strong Alpha owner is needed or he will take control. He is a powerful puller on leash, so a harness is best. He likes car rides and is crate trained. He is looking for a forever home that has some experience with the food motivated lab and stubborn mastiff. Due to his size and strength, older children are best. He has a great smile, and will show all his teeth when he is happy or nervous. He is up to date with his vaccines, flea and tick treated, microchipped, Heartworm negative and is neutered. His adoption fee is $500. You must be 21 years old to adopt and provide vet and personal references. An application to adopt him can be found on our website www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com. Click on Adopt, then Dogs for Adoption and scroll to the bottom of the page. All applications are reviewed, and if we feel you might be a good fit for him, you will be contacted to arrange a home visit as well as for permission to speak with your vet. Repeated phone calls and emails with not advance your application. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue and there is no opportunity to meet him before an application has been approved. Duke is a lovely senior dog well over 10 years old. He only knew his dad who he lived with since he was a puppy and now his dad is too sick to look after him. He does have some arthritis in his backend and we do have him on medications to help make him feel better.Volunteers have fallen in love with him and he enjoys his walks his runs and his cuddles.We are looking for someone who will allow Duke to enjoy his time and will will love him for who he is. He probably should be without any other dogs because he doesn`t know how to live with them yet when he meets them on walks he`s all tail wags and sniffs.He is heartworm test negative he has had his rabies shot we will work with the foster to adopt to slowly get his vaccines done as we believe he had a vaccine reaction to the rabies.Let`s find this boy a home!

Sweet Forest has traveled from Northern Manitoba to find her forever family. Abandon and left to die with her litter mates. Sweet, curious, just trying to figure things out like a typical puppy her age. Presently working on housetraining, including leash training. Will take basic training and time for her to learn everything expected of her. All age appropriate vaccines will be given and spay surgery when she reaches 6 months at our vet's or you can use your own vet.

He needs a quieter home, away from traffic, pets, and people. Cooper is very loyal to his owner, and requires a lot of exercise. He will fetch, catch frisbees, and play tug. A large fenced area is required for his exercise.
