Story
Rodeo is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Oh my sweet baby boy. I am so in love with this baby and when I say baby, lawrd he is such a baby haha!!! Rodeo has a lot of feelings, a gentle heart and a sweet soul. He loves hard and gets attached quickly. He is a gentle soul and loving boy that will be your best friend for life. Rodeo is apx 4-8 months old and 13 pounds. He will probably be apx 40 pounds fully grown and need the occasional grooming. He is very fluffy and soft. Rodeo will make the most amazing family companion. He does not like being left alone so he needs doggy friends or a person home often. He would not be a happy dog being kenneled for long periods, he is a needy boy ❤️. He loves hard and he needs someone that can love him back just as fiercely. Oh and something amazing about Rodeo, is he is fantastic with smaller dogs. He is currently with Beetle and Dee two dogs that are older and only 6 pounds 🙂. So he can be with any age or size dogs and he is so gentle and submissive that he will listen to their dog cues and his person. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. To get approved please visit our website www.texaschihuahuarescuecanada.org to fill in an application to adopt.

Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Buttercup! This sweet little Shipoo is about 7 years old and only 16 lbs. She’s a very sweet, affectionate, and gentle little pup. She does require regular grooming appointments for her coat. We’re looking for an experienced adopter for this sweet pup. Buttercup MUST be the ONLY dog. She does not get along with other dogs at all. Not even for visits. She will select her “person” in the house and not leave their side, this little one is very attached. She can be possessive of her people. Buttercup did share a household with a cat for a brief time and did well, but the cat would need to be very dog savvy and slow introductions. Right now Buttercup is used to having her human around all the time and makes a darling little shadow. She is loving with her people and will happily curl up beside you and always wants to snuggle. Buttercup also loves to dance when she gets excited for walks or training sessions. She is a picky eater, but loves cheese. She is also housetrained and has not had an accident in her current foster home. She is also good with letting you know when she needs to go outside. Back in July 2023, Buttercup had 2 lumps removed from her mammary glands. They were benign mixed mammary tumors. More of these may develop in other random mammary glands. The risk that any will become malignant is less than 10% as per her medical records. Buttercup is not a fan of car rides, resulting in anxiety in the car. She is making good progress on this, however her new home should have patience with her as she acclimates to car rides. She is also an incredibly gentle girl and has been great with the child in the home. Older dog savvy children only. She prefers to sleep close to her people, either in the bedroom or on the bed. Sudden movements and loud noises can startle her. She does get anxious in new situations, but patience and understanding and keeping things calm will help her relax. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, loving pup, Buttercup may be the one for you.
