Story
Axel is a handsome male German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix who was born on February 11th, 2023 and is still puppy in every way. He is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. Axel weighs approximately 90 lbs,. is very GSD smart and likes to be next to his humans. This huge puppy is full of energy and he will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, He really likes walking, hiking, and just plain old activity. He also loves water and treats the water trough as his own personal spa. We recommend a home with a fence that is a minimum of 5 feet tall. We do not suggest he go to a home with small children, or farm animals simply because he has no experience with them. He hangs with his siblings and does well playing with them and also just enjoying their company. He does need to eat separately for dinner as he protects his food from the other dogs. Axel is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped and he is kennel and crate trained for quiet time. This boy needs some time and attention from a caring and dog savvy owner. He has such potential…..such love and such a need to grow and evolve into a fine companion in life.

Story
Hello my name is Raven, I am a 10 month old beautiful Boxer mix aprox 45lbs. I love cuddles and people of all ages. I love to play tug a toy! When I am tired I like to snuggle. I am a climber, sometimes I try to climb trees so a privacy fence or leash walks is a must for me. I get along well with other dogs but am too boisterous for cats and bunnies. I am working on leash walking and basic commands with my foster mom. I am crate trained and potty trained, I am spayed, microchipped, and all of my vaccinations are up to date. If you would be interested in a sweet girl like me I hope to see you soon!

Story
Hello my name is Sandy. I am an 11 month old Shepherd mix female aprox 40lbs. I am a snuggly gal who loves kisses, I am super playful!! I can run really fast and jump really high and my favorite game is “tug a toy”. Sometimes I try to catch leaves as they fall from the trees, but then I get distracted when I see an airplane or a bird, Yup, you got it I'm a silly goofy gal too! I am crate trained, potty trained, and am working on my leash skills. (I get so excited that I always want to run and play), I know some basic commands and I am up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. I get along well with other dogs, and people of all ages. I have not been around cats or other small animals. I am looking for my forever home. I am a climber so a privacy fence would work well unless you have me on a leash when outside with you because I love adventure! If you are interested in a playful, loving, adventurous girl, look no further!

Story
Hello folks, meet Bella: A German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix, born on February 11th, 2023. So, yes, she is still a puppy. Bella is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. She weighs approximately 75 lbs, is very smart, very sweet, loves walks on leash, fast learner and food motivated. Like all her siblings, Bella loves water, so she uses the water trough as her personal pool. Bella is full of energy and she will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, like walking, hiking, etc. We recommend a home with a fence that is at a minimum 5 feet tall, for her own security. A suggestion for a successful adoption is, no small children, small animals or farm animals, as she has not been exposed to them and she might chase. Bella gets along and plays with her siblings, however she should be fed separately from other animals in the home because she doesn’t like to share her food. Bella is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. Kennel and crate trained for quiet time. If you are interested in adopting Sofia please contact Hickman Humane Society at +1 (866) 304-3352. Kennel and crate trained for quiet time.
