When Coco Puffs first arrived, she was understandably reserved, taking a little extra time to adjust to shelter life. But this past week, she gave us the moment we've been dreaming of: she completely let her guard down. She explored our open-plan office and enrichment area—a space specifically designed for dogs with extra emotional needs—and then, in the middle of it all, she took a profound, peaceful nap. This space has become a true haven for fearful or shut-down dogs, a place where they can freely hop between offices, explore, and learn new things with our volunteers in a calm setting. Watching Coco Puffs move from a nervous dog in her kennel to a deeply relaxed dog outside of it has been one of the most beautiful transformations we’ve ever seen. Coco Puffs is looking for an extraordinary family—one that understands that trust takes time and patience. Her true personality is sweet, peaceful, and eager to blossom in a secure, calm home. Neville Longbottom came to us completely terrified from a home with 10 other dogs. He has since acclimated to shelter life (as much as you can) and has blossomed into a very sweet and playful boy! He loves to play with other dogs and would make a great family dog and would do best with other dogs as playmates! Neville likes kids, but would do best with kids 10+ yrs old. Despite how he looks in pictures, Neville is only 31lbs! All pets that are adopted out of Animal Harbor are fully vetted. This means they are spayed/neutered and receive a Rabies, yearly vaccinations, preventatives for heartworms as well as flea/tick, and microchipped along with any additional vetting required to keep them healthy and happy. Dogs/puppies 6 months and above are all heartworm tested (and treated if needed) and all cats/kittens are combo tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS. If you have other pets in the home, Animal Harbor recommends bringing them to meet and greets. All pets go through a foster to adopt trial process to ensure a successful adoption!

Sabry was surrendered with his brother Echo. Sabry is super sweet, but a little shy and just needs to build up his confidence. He wants to connect and be loved so badly, but just needs kindness and patience to help him along the way. Once he’s warmed up, he is very affectionate and will roll over and offer his tummy for scritches. He is learning to walk on a leash and is improving every day. Sabry is on the larger side of medium at 49lbs. All pets that are adopted out of Animal Harbor are fully vetted.
