Story
Gorgeous Grace is beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. She is very outgoing and friendly, and gets along well with the cats and dogs in her foster home. If the dogs get too energetic Grace is the perfect friend – she knows when to retreat and leave the silliness to the puppers. When she is not lounging with the resident hound, she follows her foster humans around for pets and attention. Gregarious Grace loves small toys, laser pointers and wand toys. She will bat her toys around the house, but always has time for some wand toy action. Grace is not fond of being picked up and held – but with her social schedule, can you blame her?If you`d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link - https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they`ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They`ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of our cats have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they`re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
Recently Rescued 10–12 Week Old Kittens (Adopting in Pairs!) We’re fostering a litter of recently rescued sibling kittens, about 10–12 weeks old, and adopting them out in pairs. They’re male/female duos, fully litter trained, super playful (they can turn anything into a toy), and little explorers. They’re a bit shy at first, but once they warm up to you will absolutely climb all over you if you let them. We have appointments for their spaying/neutering at the SPCA in January and our neighborhood has all chipped in to cover those costs.

Story
Meet Sebastian, an adult long-haired orange and white gentleman who looks just like a tiny lion—distinguished, regal, and absolutely charming. Originally found at a TNR site, Sebastian showed himself to be very friendly and eager for attention, warming up to new people quickly and getting along well with the cats around him. In the shelter, he can be a bit shy at first, especially with loud or unfamiliar sounds, but give him a little time and his sweet, affectionate nature shines through. Once comfortable, Sebastian loves food, catnip, and will happily relax by your side like the calm, gentle king he is. If you’re looking for a loving, elegant companion with a soft heart beneath his majestic mane, Sebastian is ready to rule your home—with purrs, not roar.

Story
Chanel is a proper prom queen. She`s got The Look. She`s got The Personality. She`s got...Diarrhea? Well, sometimes, yeah. Before we talk about her special needs when it comes to `powdering her nose`, we want to properly introduce Miss Popularity - Miss Chanel. She`s like one of those popular girls who is popular because she`s SO pretty and SO nice and SO cool and you almost hate her but can`t help but to love her because she`s just so....PURRFECT.Even Chanel`s hobbies help highlight her best features: she stares out the window at birds and squirrels, catching the sun in her perfect blue eyes. When she naps, she curls up with her foster mom with her soft, gorgeous fur and smells like lavender and sunshine (well, we don`t know that for sure, but just look at her. that`s our guess). Chanel prefers the company of humans to kitties, so she has a big, comfy room all to herself. But to be honest, that living arrangement is the part we`re hoping to change. After all, a prom queen deserves a castle of her own to roam. Chanel came to AARF as an extremely tiny kitten and due to a congenital condition that resulted in an inability to pass poo, she underwent a surgery that removed most of her colon. Chanel’s foster family nursed her back to health, and now she’s all ready for a new home. Chanel is on a special diet along with B12 and probiotics that help keep the booty-floods at bay. Now and then, there may be a drop of poo, but honestly, a little scat shouldn`t dissuade you from adopting this otherwise perfect cat.She may be labeled `Special Needs,” but her requirements are easy to keep up with. She needs a family that will maintain her diet, and give her the endless love she deserves. If you want to go home with this Prom Queen, contact us to learn more about her.If you`d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link- https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application! The adoption fee is $150.00, and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Linda (in Spanish means beautiful, cute) is likely a Lilac Point Birman (mix?). Her fur is supper soft, she has bright blue eyes, and cute ear tufts. Once she is accustomed to her person, and her surroundings, she is sweet, and playful. She likes to grab things with her paws, (including your hands sometimes!) Unfortunately, she must have had a difficult beginning. She is very nervous, and skittish in new surroundings, and with new people. I assume many people will want her, but only those who are thoughtful regarding her behavior will be considered. No Children, because loud noises, and any commotion will hinder her acclimation. No dogs, the ones I have don’t bother her, and she has become used to them… but she will hide. Other cats are not recommended but maybe one confident cat that she can emulate could be helpful? Possibly? Her personality is hidden inside her, once she overcomes her fear. Believe me it took quite some time. I can pick her up, but not for long. She is not currently a snuggly cat. But with time and loving patience… and lots of treats… miracles happen! She IS NOT an outdoor cat. She is microchipped, spayed, tested, and vaccinated. If interested in adopting Linda, please email me at marysmutts05@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Story
Plea for help from Jonathan: “My friend and I took in several feral cats a while ago. Most are now socialized and many are bonded pairs/families. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. We are looking for good homes for them.   We are located in Clinton, MD (southern PG County). The best method of reaching us is: zcathouse.md@gmail.com”   Mushmellow [a.k.a. 'Mush'] (NM, Brown Tabby?, DLH?/Maine Coon?, ~7+ years?) & Scout (NM, Black, DSH, ~6+ years?) Mush[mellow] never liked hanging out at the salad bowl, but his food bowl is his claim to fame and weight gain. Scout waits patiently for his turn. And even though Mush also hogs their bed, Scout still loves him and they always work it out. They are best buds for life! Two gentle giants who were found at our local Rite Aid, and are, thus, referred to as the "Rite Brothers". That said, we don't know whether they are siblings, or even related at all, though it is clear they are strongly bonded and have great affection for one another. Mushmellow was initially quite larger than Scout, so we believe there may be some age difference. Whatever the case, they are both big dudes who will need lots of exercise - along with a relatively strict diet. Mushmellow has a tendency to give some pretty strong 'love bites', but he means well. Scout, on the other hand, likes to make sure he knows where his 'brother' is most of the time.   Disclaimer: AAHA provides complimentary listings for members of the community who wish to rehome their pet, as well as for other shelters/ rescues to assist them in finding Furever homes.
