Story
Gorgeous Grace is beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. She is very outgoing and friendly, and gets along well with the cats and dogs in her foster home. If the dogs get too energetic Grace is the perfect friend – she knows when to retreat and leave the silliness to the puppers. When she is not lounging with the resident hound, she follows her foster humans around for pets and attention. Gregarious Grace loves small toys, laser pointers and wand toys. She will bat her toys around the house, but always has time for some wand toy action. Grace is not fond of being picked up and held – but with her social schedule, can you blame her?If you`d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link - https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they`ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They`ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of our cats have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they`re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
We found Sweet Mama and her 4 five-week-old kittens in our neighbor's yard a few months ago. We were holding off on posting Mama until we were able to adopt out all of the kittens so she could continue to raise them, which she did fantastically. Over the past few months we've gotten to know Mama very well. She's a little on the shy side but is a really wonderful cat. She's very sweet/gentle and has a quirky personality. She's pretty chill most of the day but is quite friendly and affectionate, especially at mealtime. She tries to make friends with our 4 older crotchety cats, but they just get confused when she tries to rub up on or play with them. We think she would do well in a quiet, relaxed environment with another friendly/playful cat or two. We adore Sweet Mama and would happily trade her out for one of our grumpy freeloaders, but I'm told that would be frowned upon ;) Joking aside she really is an excellent cat that deserves a sweet and loving family to call her own.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online  Adoption Application THE FOLLOWING CAT IS BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME. *Clarisse & Kringle are siblings. It would be great if they could be adopted together, but it is not required.* Meet Kringle! This beautiful boy loves being petted, and having his cheeks scratched puts a big grin on his face! He likes napping on the desk, preferably snuggled up to you. He sleeps on the bed with his people and has even started creeping up to enjoy a warm lap! Kringle loves chasing strings and feather toys, but his true passion is soccer. He often practices with his little foam ball by himself.  When they were kittens, Kringle and his sister, Clarisse, were kept in a crate, all alone in a basement. They were not handled or socialized, so when they arrived at the rescue they were practically wild animals. However, volunteers have had tremendous success transforming Kringle from an extremely distrustful, terrified cat into a nice boy who absolutely soaks up attention! Kringle is still "working on himself," and would do best in a quiet household with an adopter who has previous experience owning cats. He is not suited to a family with small children: due to his lack of socialization, Kringle can become overstimulated and nip at hands. Kringle remains cuddly for longer and longer periods of time, so we are hopeful that when he feels secure in a home of his own, he won't be prone to that protective behavior. Despite his rough kittenhood, Kringle is ready to return affection 10-fold. He has been so brave and resilient and deserves a wonderful home where he can continue to blossom into the sweet boy he was meant to be!  Click here to learn more about Clarisse. Kringle's adoption fee is $200.00. There is a $25.00 discount for adopting a pair of MCR cats, so the fee for both Kringle and Clarisse would be $375.00.  Your adoption fee includes spay/neuter, FVRCP Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine, Combo Test (Neg/Neg), dewormer, flea prevention, microchip, and wellness visit.  For more information, contact Maine Coon Rescue at: adoption@mainecoonrescue.net. Online  Adoption Application THE FOLLOWING CAT IS BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME. *Clarisse & Kringle are siblings. It would be great if they could be adopted together, but it is not required.*  Clarisse is a gorgeous girl with a big personality! She is a "Mini Maine Coon Mix." Though she may look like a sophisticated little munchkin, Clarisse loves to play and chase strings as much as the next little cat! She tears around like a wild woman and loves bunny-kicking her kicker toy. When she is ready to relax, she enjoys being petted and has super-soft fur, plus, she has the sweetest, breathy meow that sort of sounds like, "hey."  When they were kittens, Clarisse and her brother, Kringle, were kept in a crate all alone in a basement. They were not handled or socialized, so when they arrived at the rescue, they were practically wild animals. However, volunteers have had tremendous success transforming Clarisse into a sociable kitty that naps next to her people, taps your hand to ask for (demand)  pets, and even comes into the room to cautiously say 'hello' when company comes over.  Clarisse is not suited to a household with children. Due to her lack of socialization, on rare occasions Clarisse may become overstimulated and nip or swat at people. She is still a bit skittish and will have an easier time settling in to a quiet home.  Clarisse is such a funny little critter; with her "turtle toes," expressive face, and big diva energy, she will steal your heart before you know it!  Click here to learn more about Kringle.
