Story
Chalupa, spayed female, long hair torbie, born 4/9/23. Chalupa is the sweetest special needs kitty, having been exposed to toxoplasmosis and treated, with lasting effects in the neurological and breathing areas. But she is as happy as they come and don't have a thought she is even affected. She plays, she climbs eats, sleeps, and uses the bathroom quite normally.  She also takes minimal medication like liver supplement. And she adores her treat time - she comes scurrying across the floor in her cute special way she does. Chalupa can live a long, healthy life. Won't you give a special needs kitty a chance at happiness in a loving home? Ask for as many pictures and videos as you want. You may just find yourself falling for her as I have.   Thank you.  The adoption fee is $100. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina. Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.July 26, 2024, 5:32 pm

** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe St location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day between 12pm-7pm. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. This is the super handsome Snorkel! He's a beautiful boy. He is a young, frisky kitty looking for a home where he can get lots of interactive toys and thrive has a super silly kitty. Snorkel had a home but was not a fan of the little kids, so he's looking for an adults only home. Snorkel would love tall kitty towers, windows to look out and he wants to be active. If you are looking for a cat that needs lots of playtime and energy burning activities, then meet this amazing kitty. He's a smart kitty and needs a matching lifestyle.

Story
Faith was adopted at 8 weeks. We've had her since then. She's a great cat, but when we got her during covid we were home and could be around more. She got used to us being around. She loves people and children once she's comfortable. Sadly we have a new baby and with allergies and life we just aren't home enough to entertain her and I feel horrible. Faith needs a loving home. She doesn't like the groomer so that's the only downside, but she's never had an issue with getting her shots. She's up to date on all of her shots.

Story
Candy is a gorgeous long-haired tuxedo cat looking for her purr-fect adopter. Candy takes a bit to warm up but once she's comfortable she loves to snuggle up for some Netflix and cuddling. Candy would do best in a quiet home without young children and as a single cat. She is fixed, fully vaccinated, and negative for FelV/FIV. This cat's adoption fee is $150. ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.

Story
Meet Mr. Oreo.  This very handsome man is 3 years old and a medium size cat.  He is good with other cats and likes people.  He is just a bit shy of new people when he first meets them.  He will let you pet him but not always.  He needs a patient mom and/or dad to help him over come this.  He was found as a stray dumped in the country in middle Tennessee.  He still needs to learn that he can trust humans again.  Miss Judith came to his rescue and Critter Cavalry stepped in to get him all the vet care he needed and to find him the purrfect forever home.  Will that be with you?  To help Oreo please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Sweet Benny was born on a farm with lots of other cats that were not spayed or neutered. Luckily when they brought him to us he was very sweet and friendly and not skittish or scared. He had a minor eye injury that we treated and it healed very nicely. He has been neutered, is FIV/FeLV negative, litter box trained and fully vaccinated. We believe him to be part Russian Blue, his long coat is very luxurious! Benny is barely a year old and is ready for immediate transport OUR CATS AND KITTENS MUST NEVER BE DECLAWED OR ALLOWED TO GO OUTDOORS, EVER! PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $250
