Story
Melody is a very sweet and affectionate gal! Melody is approximately 5 years old and would likely do better as the only cat in the home. As she has adjusted to her foster home, she has shown quite the personality. She loves receiving lots and lots of pets. She rubs against us and things in our home often. She is also quite vocal and talkative. She likes having “conversations.” She loves to be brushed, enjoys playing a little fetch! Melody enjoys looking out windows and climbing to high places in our home. She is also a big fan of scratching boards! At the end of a long day, Melody likes to snuggle up with you, either falling asleep on your back or chest, or somewhere on your pillow. Melody would love to join a home where she can receive lots of attention and be your companion! She allows me to trim her nails and can be picked up, though she prefers not to be carried. She is good around dogs and new people, as well. *More information and photos added over time. Adoption application: https://forms.gle/cKD19YHqxKpvT1VQ6 *We only adopt and foster our animals within a 60 mile radius from New Brighton, MN* All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment. You can contact us through our website at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/contact/ or visit our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LegendsRescue/ if you have further questions or would like to schedule a meet and greet. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/forms/ FOSTER CARE: Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before a dog is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please fill out our application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/foster-application/ YOU CAN HELP: If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. Your donation will help with our care and pay for medical costs. Visit this link http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/donate/ to donate

Story
Meet Sky. Sky came into rescue after being found roaming by a good Samaritan. Most kitties have their quirks, so with that being said, Sky needs to be the only girl in your life. She can get accustomed to pups, but overall prefers to be alone. She doesn't like other kitties but has plenty of personality for you to love! She loves sunbathing on the couch, watching the birds out the window and is obsessed with her Catnip toys.  Sky I think would do best in an empty nester home or an elderly couple (or single) home where she just gets constant love and attention. Sky is only around 2-ish years old, sweet, vocal, affectionate and is ready for her purrfect home.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper (PCR) vaccines appropriate to age, Feline leukemia/FIV/HW test, heartworm, ear mite and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $225  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 4:02 pm

He will REQUIRE a kitty friend in his forever home.  He enjoys toys and treats. When he is comfortable he enjoys getting pet and asks for attention.  However he will need his new home to continue to work with him on his socializaiton so he can be his happiest best self.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. Introducing Caleb, the epitome of fun-loving and outgoing! This charming kitten delights in playful antics with his beloved toys and relishes sunlit naps. Caleb is a master of cuddles, eagerly snuggling up at bedtime or after his energetic zoomies (these are brief as he can be a very lazy boy who prefers cuddles). Fully litter box trained, he effortlessly blends into any home environment, enjoying the company of children, dogs, and fellow cats alike. Caleb is eagerly searching for his purrfect match to share endless love and joy.
