He moves delicately through the world, often with a silly little bounce that makes everyone smile. He’s incredibly snuggly, sweet, and tender, happiest when curled up close or nestled into a warm lap. Yuko brings calm and comfort wherever he goes. Perfect for: A cozy home that values cuddles, quiet moments, and gentle affection.  * Kittens under 4 months tend to do best in homes with another cat or kitten for socialization.  If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

He loves chin and head scratches. Quite the vocal and silly little guy. He loves the treat bag sound and he has successfully gained weight. Will zoomie around the house despite his weird legs! The fosters have been finding him up on the couch even. We can’t seem to fully knock out his little goopy eye, but it comes and goes. The meloxicam has helped him settle in a bit more. He takes it like a champ in the mornings. The foster created a litter box out of a storage tote with the side cut out and using pee pads with him because he has gotten into the habit of just putting his front end in the litter box and not the back (Photo's of set up available upon request). He is doing well with the vinyl and carpet but we would recommend single level home or minimal stairs. He goes down stairs fine but struggles going up. He can be testy still if he doesn't like the way you are touching him, he needs a no child home. Story
Meet this stunning black-and-white tuxedo beauty — about 1.5 years old and bursting with personality! This sweet girl came into rescue pregnant, raised her kittens like a superstar mama, and now it’s her turn to find a forever home. She’s spunky, sassy, and wonderfully chatty — always ready to share her thoughts, opinions, and daily commentary with her humans. She’s very social and loves being part of whatever’s going on in the house. When she’s not supervising, you’ll find her soaking up sunny windowsills, bird-watching, or racing around during her epic zoomie sessions. She’s confident around other cats and can be a bit bossy. With proper introduction she could live with other kitties. Although she would probably be happiest as the one and only cat!  She has been around dogs and definitely holds her own. She would thrive in a home that appreciates her bold personality, playful spirit, and talkative charm. If you’re looking for a cat who will make you laugh, keep you company, and fill your home with love and conversation — she just might be your perfect match. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper (PCR) vaccines appropriate to age, Feline leukemia/FIV/HW test, rabies vaccine, and heartworm, ear mite & flea/tick preventative while in rescue.
